Fun, Italian Style…..maybe not

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Venezia

This was cruise 30 for DH and 27 for me. We’ve cruised with Cunard, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian. Our last 11 cruises were with Carnival. We chose the Venezia for a different vibe, Italian style. We were thinking lots of Italian food, some Italian themed activities, some Italian music, etc. These are our thoughts and opinions, and everyone will have their own. We were ...

I had booked to sail on the Carnival Venezia while the conversion was being completed from a Costa ship. I liked that I could drive to the port in lieu of flying. While I saw some negative reviews during the 1st couple of sailing, I wasn't discouraged, as I've always enjoyed sailing on Carnival and was looking forward to sailing on the Venezia with the "Fun Italian Style" concept. While the night ...

I am an experienced cruiser of 30 years, 40 or so cruises, mostly Celebrity but also five on Crystal, Regent, Azamara, Cunard, MSC, NCL and Royal. I was in the Owner's Suite and traveling with my mom in the suite, sister in another suite. First Oceania cruise. First, the good. I love the R ships. The size is perfect. You feel like you are on a ship, and not in a hotel that happens to be at ...

This was our first cruise. Getting to the pier was horrible. The wait was this organize and all over the place you could even hear what they were saying through the loudspeaker. We finally coming into the boat finally get over rooms. We’re going to have a cabin and we have bunkbeds mine June my husband is 65 with bad knees. Went straight to customer. Service complain was told. I have to wait ...

Italian Themed (not really)

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Venezia

We booked this ship because it was marketed as an Italian themed cruise. The ship was beautiful the crew fantastic Italian not so much. Would have been nice to have soft Italian music at dinner at least or even just the pasta lunch would have been nice. Boarding - We have sailed twice on another line from this port #88. Never had such an experience as this. Just getting to a line to board was ...

Cruise was a disappointment. No hand sanitizing stations except 2 in dining hall that weren’t always working. Guess what my family and I all ended up getting Covid. Lack of areas to have infants crawl around. Children’s playground needs an update. Food lacked flavor and was bland. Most of staff was helpful except for a few. The room was filthy when we checked in. Shower was clogged with hair ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Joy

Itinerary - Chose this itinerary because of the featured port - Bermuda; the only port we didn't visit was: BERMUDA - We fully understand that the change was made in the name of safety - Contingency plan was wholly inadequate - an extra day in Bahamas, an added day in Miami - Having been to Bahamas before, there was nothing of interest to do there again - Miami was framed as a ...

Not a Cruise For Smokers

We’ve travel on NCL but I don’t remember it being this limiting. There is one outside area to smoke with maybe 20 chairs and a few umbrellas. On the top deck. Super inconvenient to get to. Cigar lounge is only for cigars and casino is only if you’re playing. We arrived in NYC at 6:30am with a NCL transfer from JFK. They neglected to tell us the shuttle didn’t come until 10am so we had to sit ...

We chose this cruise because we were looking for a cruise itinerary to the Caribbean during summer vacation. The Joy had the best price for what we were wanting. I had a fantastic time. What I liked (and what is important to me personally) is good food in the buffet and main dining room, high quality music entertainment, friendly staff and up to date decor. The food quality was quite ...

We're in the tri-state area so we thought an extended change of scenery without having to fly before summer ended would be nice. Deck 11 balcony near the middle. Boarding was fine, sailing away for a couple of days was good, Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center is a must-see (really makes you feel proud to be an American) but it is cheaper and more flexible to just Uber it back-and-fourth ...
