A disappointing Cruise overall

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This was my third cruise and first on Norwegian. I will never book this ship again and will be hesitant to use Norwegian in the future. The Good: Staff was friendly and attentive. The cabin was OK and we had no issues with an inside stateroom. Price was good and included unlimited booze (no top shelf), 150 minutes internet and one dining upgrade. Good bang for the buck. Decent Buffet. ...

Very Disappointing for Our 6th Cruise with Carnival

We chose a January 2024 cruise to get back in the cruising groove after having 2 cruises cancelled during Covid in 2020/2021. All excited to finally get back on a Carnival Cruise Ship we haven't been on, out of New Orleans. We had a wonderful day and a half in New Orleans, exploring the sights and sounds and food. We parked free at the cruise port with Florida Disabled Vet Plates and used ...

Not the dream vacation we envisioned

We were so excited for our family cruise and our anniversary. It was a first cruise for most of our group. Being with family and seeing some beautiful places was fabulous but the cruise itself was far from what we expected. Boarding the ship at our scheduled time is a joke we are packed in like sardines and everyone is crowded in such a small space. However once on board we found we could not ...

Worst cruise ever

We all know a certain level of subpar experience is expected with Carnival like food and stateroom accommodations but this sailing was by far the worst in all of my experiences. I have had a lingering feeling for some time Carnival was cutting back on staff and services, starting with turn down at night and food quality (not that it was ever suburb) but that feeling is now glaringly obvious. Post ...

Went on this cruise line with my boyfriend and his family. PROS: -Staff on the ship was very friendly and they provided a good quality service. -Room service and housekeeping was great! Our stateroom was nice and cozy. -Guy’s Burger Joint provides tasty hamburgers and fries. -The lobster rolls were also pretty good. -We enjoyed most of the drinks at the pub and ...

About the Reviewer: I’m a middle-aged American male who traveled solo on this, my 62nd voyage. Just over half of my sailings have been with NCL, however, I have sailed on other cruise lines including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC and Carnival. This was my second cruise as a Diamond Latitudes member, which is NCL’s second highest Latitudes tier. This was my 8th voyage of the year and my 4th on ...

Carnival is still struggling to get things right

In an attempt to boost margins, they have cut out quite a few things and many things are out of order. Notables: • 3 Ice Cream Machines where out of order simultaneously • Guys Burgers no longer seems to use the hand cut fries (3rd cruise in a row, without them • Most of the burgers have sat out so long or are charred, you can only eat the "middle" (get two or three and throw the rest ...

Not worth the price

First & last cruise. Ship needs a deep clean & repairs in lots of areas. Horrible sewage smell! Extremely crowded to the point you could not enjoy yourself. Tried the hot tub but always full, even the “adult” only ones (kids everywhere). The pools are sitting pools not swimming & again seemed to always be packed. Food is made of very poor quality ingredients (that was not crawfish on the pasta or ...

I choose this cruise because a friend recommended it to me I brought my 2 kids. This experience was amazing! They're so many amazing things to do on board like the thrilling water slides they had! I recommend the drink package! They staff were very friendly and helpful, because on of my kids went to bed on the couch and when I called room service for extra blankets and pillows they came right away ...

Beautiful, potentially fun ship that is overcrowded and seems understaffed

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Our family of four, including two adult children, chose this cruise as a fun family getaway for Christmas week. We had traveled on Norwegian a few years ago and had enjoyed the "freestyle" concept and the many entertainment and dining options. Although we generally had fun on this cruise, we found ship's public spaces so overcrowded and the ship so obviously understaffed in some areas that we ...
