This was our 4th cruise with RCCL and by far our favorite! We loved the Vision and her crew. Our waiter was absolutely amazing, making recommendations and making sure everything was to our liking. He had a great personality and gave us great, personal service. The food in the windjammer and MDR was excellent! The windjammer staff did a great job of keeping the buffet area stocked and clean. There were always plenty of options for each meal. We did MTD and were able to walk right in for our table at our reserved time. Our stateroom attendant was also great, quickly taking care of our room in the morning and evenings. The ship was lovely and the activities staff constantly had fun things going on. The ship did not seem dated to me, despite previous reviews I had read. Everything looked updated and clean. The entertainment was good but I would have preferred more variety than the 3 comedians. In the past we’ve had magicians, aerial acrobats, etc. I definitely recommend the Vision! Read Less

We love cruising Norwegian, and this was a our best ever experience: - We booked through Dan McCormick, our Norwegian Cruise Consultant. As always, Dan was a great asset to us and to Norwegian. He's friendly, professional, available, and striving to make sure we had a great vacation. - Embarkation was busy, but the staff kept the line moving. It's a large ship, and we are bronze latitude members, so that's to be expected. It would have been nice if folks didn't try to line jump, but certainly not the staff's fault. Staff members at check-in were very friendly. - We loved our cabin and it was very comfortable (see below). - The food was very good. We ate at Taste, Savor (Main Dining Rooms), the Garden Buffet, and O'Sheehan's. We also had a great meal at the onboard Cirque Fantasy. The only time we experienced really poor service or quality was at O'Sheehan's. The staff just seemed new and it was difficult to get service. They kind of stood around, and this was the only place on the ship we saw that happening. Food was often not optimal temp when served at O'Sheehan's and the food was not up to the standard on the rest of the ship. That said, Taste, Savor and Garden Buffet were excellent. Daily selections kept us trying new things and we didn't eat at the specialty restaurants at all. The buffet was far above average and the staff there was wonderful, always singing and coming by the tables. Savor's staff also stood out as excellent and personable. - We loved the shows. We saw Rock of Ages (80's fun), Burn the Floor (they're so talented), three of the Levity Comedy shows (Tom Foss is the best!) and the Cirque Fantasy (fabulous!) and did the Escape Room (loads of fun). Rock of Ages was very entertaining and exactly as billed. It was disappointing to see that so many went and then reviewed it poorly. It's raunchy in a fun way, and there's lots to do on the ship if this is not your cup of tea. I can't recommend Cirque Fantasy highly enough, though it is extra. - We played miniature golf, worked out in the fitness center, walked and lounged on Deck 8 and spent as much time outside as possible, since the weather was excellent. I highly recommend Deck 8 (The Waterfront) for daytime reading and friendly conversations. It's quiet and comfortable. It's also the best outdoor walking, as the "jogging track" is in a busy recreation area where people kept bumping into us and is only really good for jogging early a.m. and late day. - We're not drinkers and didn't have the package, so I can't review that portion of the service, but we did enjoy our free sparkling wine as Latitude members. - The casino is way too open and that kept us from seeing and doing things on Deck 6, 7 and 8 inside because of the stench of cigarettes. That kept us from trying the Shanghai Noodle Bowl, as it's basically inside the casino. Other guests told us the restaurant wasn't the best, and there was so much great food elsewhere we weren't bothered. - The crew is nice and accommodating, but I recommend going to Guest Services personally if you have a question. The Box Office is pure chaos, and your Box Office booked shows won't show up on your app or TV screen. - We took two shore excursions through Norwegian. Both were great and we thought they were a good value for the tour received. The excursions are very well organized. Our tour of Chacchoben Mayan ruins from Costa Maya was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The Turtle Centre in George Town Grand Cayman was a wonderful experience. These folks do great work, it's a great place to learn about these beautiful creatures. I recommend the shore excursion because I heard some folks getting dubious info from local tour companies. We would joyfully sail Norwegian and The Breakaway again. We definitely recommend this cruise. Read Less

Dream Embarkation Wedding Review(Song Lounge and Burgundy Lounge) -I just have to go ahead and say our experience was incredible and completely exceeded my expectations! I did hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids at our hotel. We shuttled from our parking space. I definitely recommend giving yourself extra time. We were almost late to check in. This made meeting our coordinator and letting our guests know where to go pretty hectic. Jill was our coordinator, and she was fabulous. She made sure someone brought me lunch to my room. They didn't have our first dance song, but she made it happen. She took care of setting up our decorations in the ceremony and reception spaces. She also made sure everyone signed our guest book. Valeria was our wedding host. She made sure I was never empty handed. She checked in on us throughout the week and made our steakhouse reservations. For hors d'oeuvres we had: shrimp sushi, tomato mozzarella, steak burritos, chicken empanadas, beer battered fish, and smoked salmon. For drinks we had rum punch and margaritas. Our cake was coconut with coconut filling, The food was plentiful and delicious. The drinks were strong and they kept them coming. So strong that half our guests didn't make it the dining room that night! The reception itself was great. We did the first dance, mother/son and father/daughter dance, and cake cutting. The rest was party time. The dj had us dancing the entire time. The reception was only an hour long but I don't think our guests could have handled any longer. Kadek was our photographer and he made the wedding for me! I was so worried about pictures and I had no reason to be. The ceremony was in the Song Lounge and we had the curtains open for natural light. He took us all around the ship for pictures. We took so long that I had to go to Muster Call in my wedding dress. Overall, I'd recommend Carnival for a wedding a million times over. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the itinerary as 11 days! and Caribbean! NCL really has their act together when you are talking about their packages you can choose to add to your cruise when signing up! Of course, duh!, first choice unlimited drinking package and balcony or higher 3 choices and even more as you go up in room category. The operation of the ship as far as handling the large ship under all circumstances was probably the most professional I have seen yet. Everything they did was smooth to a "T" and most of the time when parking it was amazing. I am an engineer by trade, so I was amazed how good they were. The ship is really easy to explore around , even has fish on the carpet swimming to the front so you don't get turned around. They kept us busy by having many above average shows and performances nearly every night. I will rate the entertainment down just a bit as there were a few days that we wanted to go to the comedian, and you had to arrive at least 30 mins early or you can't get in and most of the entertainment you had to pre - book so what happens is the experienced cruisers (you know who they are) get to pre-book BEFORE the "regular" cruisers so A. best times are taken and B. A lot of shows or specialty dining is all booked up. C. And then they don't show up. I really don't like the "know the rules" handling of the shows and specialty dinners as some book and then never show up. The specialty dining was some of the best ever when you do get in, but I really don't like eating at 9:45pm and missing shows that are usually scheduled between 9-10pm for the good adult stuff. There were a few times the specialty dining rooms showed booked up on the computer and yet were 1/2 full or just a little better, and yet if you went to the dining kiosk to book dining, it said all booked up. Anyway in my rambling, freestyle cruising is ok, you can scale back your dining attire a little, but my wife and I feel it is a little more respectful to dress a little nicer than that, which is ok. We come from a rural environment and my wife doesn't get to wear warm climate dresses except for on cruises so we raise up the dress a little above minimum for the specialty dining. Freestyle dining or cruising should be just that, either very limited rules or none at all. You can eat anytime you want, but realistically you can't because the Haven on up people have most of the booking booked early. The crews on the ship were professional and fun and after the first day recognized you! I made some permanent friends and yes I did purchase the CruiseNext bonus which is way better return than the stock market. We had a spa room, and enjoyed the thermal suites area, but if I had to upgrade from a regular room to Spa and purchase the rights, I personally don't feel it would have been worth it. The Doctor on board was absolutely amazing and helped my wife with a few things and she was very happy with the top notch professionalism he showed. NCL didn't really brag that they had him on the ship and my wife stumbled upon his video in the spa and he literally saved us thousands of dollars and did a better job! WIN_WIN! Getting on and off the ship was a breeze, and the NCL transfers to and from the airport were convenient and fast and professional. In summary, NCL is very classy, professional, great employees both in operations and service, and just needs to work on the booking of entertainment and specialty meals and they will have it all. One more thing, the specialty dining options are top notch, better than any normal dining I have access to at home, and the first trip I went to them it was smooth and easy and very enjoyable. But now everyone has figured out how good they really are and you are lucky to get any reasonable time to actually get to go to them to eat. It seems the only slots open are when you wanted to go to a show that night, so instead of doing both (like on other cruise lines) You have to sacrifice one for the other. I still would rate the overall trip at 9.6! Read Less

We absolutely love NCL. We were loyal Carnival cruisers but once we tried NCL, we will never go back to Carnival. I love the specialty dining, especially Cagney's Steakhouse. The comedy shows were hilarious, I never laughed so hard. We loved Burn the Floor, this is a must if you are on the Breakway. Rock of Ages was ok, just not what I was expecting. We just got off the Breakaway 12/23/18 and already booking another one, looking at April. I just love cruising. The layout was pretty easy to get around. The only problem of course is the pool area, where everyone holds chairs all day and never go to them but no one pulls the belongings from the chairs. Out of our 7 day cruise we were only able to hang out by the pool with chairs on one day. But that one day we had a blast at the pool. We are going to bring our grandkids the next cruise, there are lots to do with the kids. Read Less

The food was 5 star. Everything we ate was spectacular except the buffet. I don’t particularly enjoy buffet because the quality of food is fair. They had a lot of choices but when you have eaten in the restaurants they just don’t compare. The shows were amazing. We fell in love with Howl of the Moon. The atmosphere was so much fun! I love karaoke. I was excited to find out they offered it on the ship. We attended one show. I was disappointed when it came to song selection. Very limited song selection. So small they didn’t carry even the popular karaoke songs. My friend and I did the 6 splurge spa from a free pamper party the spa put on. It is a MUST for all you women. It was so relaxing and worth every penny. Don’t worry it won’t brrak the bank it was so fairly priced. Read Less

This is our third cruise on Crystal and Symphony. Our first was 22 years ago from Istanbul. Our second was February 2017 Singapore to Hong Kong. Both were amazing. We chose an easier quick trip out of New Orleans with our daughter and her spouse. We both had suites, we decided on the new Seabreeze suites which were just redone in 2017. They were very nice woth a large shower with excellent water pressure... Anyway the ship was superb, from the staff, the AMAZING speciality restaurants and the fabulous entertainment. I even had time for the casino. Keep in mind everything is inclusive, all liquior, wine, WiFi, grautuities. This time there were children on the ship and the staff seem to handle well. We are in 9051 and as I said it was very nice. We have taken over 45 ocean cruises and three River Cruises and Crystal and Silverseas remains at the top of our list. You cannot go wrong with this cruise line. Good luck and keep cruising. We loved it! Read Less

The Dream is a very beautiful ship and is still in great shape. It was decorated for the holidays, which made it even more beautiful. The steakhouse was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the food on the ship overall. We loved the spa so much! It was truly relaxing, the Thalassotherpy pool especially. The shows were great, and we enjoyed most of the onboard entertainment, especially Romaine on the steel drums and the DJs on the ship. We absolutely loved our spa balcony room and our room steward. If we get on the Dream again, we want to stay in the same room lol. We didn’t book any excursions thru Carnival, which was great for us bc we saved money and had an amazing time at each of the ports we stopped at. The cruise atmosphere was definitely fun, but not overwhelming. The Carnival Dream was truly a dream trip come true! Read Less

We were just on this ship doing the Baltics in July and changed from the Pearl out of Tampa over T-giving. The embarkation was less than could be desired. It took almost an hour to go from the hotel to the port because of construction about 2 miles away, and then it was like nobody was expecting us when we finally got inside to check in. Thank goodness for priority. In July we had an Oceanview but this time upgraded to a Balcony and ended up with a room that seemed like a hall they had converted to a room. The balcony could not be used by two people at the same time unless we wanted to look at each other. The ship had an issue with people getting sick and tried to handle it as best as they could, taking away the salt and pepper shakers and menus. The dining was amazing, 4 specialty and then everything else except for the buffet. All of the staff on the ship was great. After 3 cruises on this class we really do like the Malting bar. Not sure why they removed the smoking area right outside the bar. Not sure why the Next people felt the need to call 4 times. Do to previous issues with them we don't even say hello to them. This 10-day getaway was the first cruise my husband & I have ever taken, & in anticipation of the crowds on a ship the size of the Breakaway we opted to splurge a bit & book in the Haven - best vacation decision EVER. As NCL pledged, being a guest of the Haven afforded us over the top perks during our entire cruise. From our initial embarkation in New Orleans to any chosen daily port embarkations along with the final disembarkation, we were always provided priority head of the line access, & this type of spoiling transcended to every other aspect of our cruise as well. Our aft-facing Penthouse Suite trumped any 5-Star luxury hotel room that we’ve ever stayed in, & couldn’t have been more over the top or awesome. From the huge rear-facing balcony that had enough room & furniture for a group of 8, to a separate bedroom with a spectacular ensuite bathroom complete with a large soaking tub & separate shower - both with windows overlooking the balcony & ocean beyond, this layout was unbelievable. In addition, the suite had another small guest bath complete with a shower - perfect for a husband’s ‘private’ place, ha. ;-) Also included with this suite was a super sweet Butler, Choi, who treated us to different afternoon goodies every day & would also deliver room service with a smile at any time. Even though these aft-facing suites aren’t on deck 16, they still come with full Haven access, & the way we saw it, the walks back & forth did us good by countering the additional daily caloric intake we were allowing ourselves. The Haven compound on deck 16 is accessed by your keycard, & is basically a private oasis within the ship. It consists of a comfortable lounge area with a bar, a very nice private restaurant that serves complimentary breakfast, lunch, & dinner (extremely tasty food & great service), a courtyard area with a small pool & two hot tubs, & multiple seating areas. Upstairs from this courtyard area were additional cozy seating areas & numerous lounge chairs, & access to a very nice private outdoor deck area. With these fairly large areas only accessible to approximately 150 maximum guests at a time (we rarely saw more than 30 other people at any given time), this ‘breathing room’ without any crowds whatsoever is really what the Haven is all about. Because we enjoyed the serene Haven areas so much, we honestly didn’t spend too much time in the Breakaway’s common areas. We did enjoy numerous hours at the aft bar of H20 Spice because of the plentiful & comfortable seating areas & the smoking allowed policy, had several great Margaritas at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville, enjoyed a dinner at Ocean Blue (exemplary service but only so so food), & my husband raved about the sushi he had several times at Wasabi. But in the end, & after each occasion of seeing & sometimes fighting the crowds in the popular common areas, we continued to look at each other at some point & agree that it was time to return either to our amazing suite retreat or the calmness of the Haven confines. In summary, this review is obviously geared more toward praising the numerous perks & comforts that come with booking the Haven. Is it more expensive? Definitely. But is this expense something worth saving & splurging for? Without a doubt! We enjoyed a luxury experience of a lifetime, met some wonderful folks, & loved every second of living like VIPs for ten days!! Read Less

I had an amazing Vacation this time of the year was perfect the weather was just right and not humid or too hot. The service was outstanding. The Only reason I am not giving 5's for everything is my shore excursion in Cozumel was not the best. I was kinda disappointed as I didn't realize how long it was going to take to get to the destination and we ended up only having three hours instead of 6 hours at the location plus it was so packed as their were 6 ships in Cozumel when we were their. My cabin 2346 was wonderful. Very close to the water and when on the balcony we were able to watch the Pilot boat captain jump on and off the ship to Pilot the ship into the harbors and Mississippi river (Takes 7 hours to get through the river to the Gulf of Mexico). Also were able to see 10 dolphins and 1 whale from our room. Weather was around 85'F every day. Sunny and water was great. Jamaica was my favorite place to visit. Would defiantly recommend doing a snorkeling tour when here we saw so many tropical colored fish in the bay. Next time I go to Cayman Islands I am going to do Stingray bay and snorkeling tour as the water was crystal clear the further out you got. Read Less

My husband and I are seasoned cruisers doing so several times a year. This was our first experience in the Haven as well as on the Breakaway. We booked a Haven Courtyard Penthouse suite located on deck 15. The suite was a perfect fit for two people, a tight fit for three. Embarkation day in the port of New Orleans was very smooth and easy. We received our room keys at the Haven registration desk and were then escorted to a private waiting lounge. The lounge was a little lack luster and drab and to be honest, I would have preferred boarding with the masses than to wait for a private escort directly to the Haven lounge. But wait we did and after a short while, we were escorted into a private elevator and taken to the Haven where we were greeted with a cocktail and given an orientation by the concierge. The Haven lounge is beautiful and the outdoor courtyard was a favorite of ours. We especially enjoyed the convenience of the Haven bar and waited very little for a cocktail. All of the Haven staff were extremely accommodating and attentive. Our stateroom was located on the same deck as the thermal spa which meant a very short walk through a Haven guest entrance near the gym. We enjoyed the thermal suite every day and feel it was worth the money we spent. I loved the flavor infused water and the bath robes that were always readily available. My favorite part was the thalasso therapy pool and its wonderful massaging jets. My only gripe would be that the hot tubs weren't really very hot. More like a warm tub, at best. We ate in the Haven restaurant three out of the seven nights and each time was very good. Though the menu didn't change, there was enough variety to suit our tastes. We also ate in Cagneys, Ocean Blue, and Le Bistro. our favorite was Le Bistro for its escargot and exceptional french champagne. We ordered a bottle at $95 but received 20% off...a splurge but after all, it was our wedding anniversary. The entertainment was lively but some was quite taste specific. We really enjoyed Burn the Floor but walked out of Rock of Ages. The show was very long and quite loud. They needed to disclaim that it lasted 105 minutes as the duration interfered with our dinner reservations. I thought the story line was cheesy and, I just didn't like it. But that was about the only thing I didn't like. We really enjoyed the waterfront area and would book the Breakaway again just for that. We didn't use the main pool area all that much but found there to be a lot of activity that would appeal to all ages. We did enjoy the water slides but didn't get a chance to do the ropes course. Something for next time. Over all, we had a fabulous time. I was a little leary after some of the reviews I read recently, but believe that all trips are what we make of them. For us, the staff and crew seemed to go out of their way to make us feel welcome and appreciated. Every NCL employee, from officers to cleaning crew, greeted us with a smile and hello. Good job Breakaway! Read Less

Our cabin was great and thanks to our wonderful stewardess Eva always clean. All of the staff onboard were great but Eva was excellent. She had a whole deck to work (2nd deck) but still took the time to remember me and my wife’s name. Adam the cruise director was probably the life of every party. He was funny and very informative. The ride was a little rocky at time but we pack motion sickness medicine and brackets so we were fine. As soon as we got on board our bags were waiting for us by our room door. The food was good. Guys burger and the breakfast options were my favorite. The buffet was ok but nothing to brag about. Pizza pirate was good as well. Overall great trip. And again Thank you Eva Read Less

We had an interior room which was cleaned daily except the day we slept over after an awesome excursion. But then it was cleaned twice the next day. The food was delicious and the wait staff so nice. Highly recommend. The embarkation and disembarking went very smoothly. The shore excursions were amazing. There was a medical emergency on board that was handled very professionally and with great care for the privacy and safety of the family involved. A helicopter was brought in to take the patient and family to an awaiting hospital. The way this was handled makes us very confident about bringing our handicapped son on future cruises. This cruise was such a great experience! The staff on the ship were very friendly and very helpful. Parking was a $100 flat rate right by the terminal. Inside the port we moved right along and before we knew it we were on the ship. It was a very seamless process. We found our room and was welcomed by our stewardess Goergetta who was amazing and very helpful. We dined in the Paris dinning room and Christy and two others were on there toes and did a great job from the time you sat to finsh. There is no such thing as boredom upon this cruise ship. Adam, the cruise director, was super funny, helpful and genuinely seemed to care if you were having a great time! In cozumel, we went to the chankanaab park which was absolutely stunning! Our snorkel guides, Diego and Chino were extremely helpful and thorough. They made sure that everybody was on the same page and answered any and all questions. Diego was quite funny as well. They even made us homemade guacamole! After cozumel we sailed to Progreso, which was a completely different experience. Everything seemed a little more "authentic". If you go to Progreso, you'll see what I mean. Also, be prepared to either buy something every 5 minutes or say no thank you every five minutes. I understand they are trying to boost the economy, but it seemed a little too much at times. With all that being said, I highly recommend cruising with these wonderful people! My wife and I were always greeted with a smile. My only complaint, if you can even call it that, was the elevators were a little on the slow side. Hopefully the new upgrades will address that. Me and my wife took the cruise for our honeymoon and first vacation ever to ourselfs. I was surprised at the selections of food they had on the cruise. Me and my wife definately did not go hungry, if anything we gained a few pounds while on our cruise. The sun decks were perfect for many people to enjoy the sun as well as other company. I enjoyed trying my hand at many games in the casino, even thou I didn't win anything. My wife enjoyed a couple of the games in the video arcade, at least the easy ones. The pool side movies were a nice touch, even thou I only got to watch one of the many they showed. The cabin was spacious for two people to share, might've been crowed if more than two had the same room. The steward we had, Junaedi, was very nice and helpful with any request. We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion we decided at the last minute to go snorkeling and eat a Mexican lunch with tequila tastings with Claudia. I would highly recommend taking the cruise with the triumph going to Cozumel, Mexico. Just make sure to bring plenty of spending cash. Read Less

This was my very first cruise, and by the end of the trip..I am already ready to start planning my next one! Never in my entire life have I experienced such amazing hospitality on a vacation before. The staff are incredibly friendly and personable and make you feel like you are all family. I absolutely LOVED all of the shows Carnival Dream had on the ship, you could find me jamming and singing to all the songs they were playing or laughing till i cried because of how well they were put together. The food was outstanding, and if there was something you didn't like, the staff offered to have it recooked or asked if you wanted something else. We were always early to our ports giving us more than enough time to explore, and we had an amazing cruise director, Lee!! Never have i ever met a person with so much enthusiasm and fun put into one body. I highly recommend cruising with Carnival Dream! Read Less

This cruise left close to home and it was the best vacation ever. We picked the bobsled excursion in Jamaica. The wait at the the top was longer than expected due to a group riding the breaks of the bobsleds and slowing everyone down. However, the weather was perfect and the view incredible. The skylift was peaceful and Dunn's waterfall is a must for Jamaica. We went snorkeling for the first time in Grand Cayman. The guides were very good and kept a close eye on our safety. Plus, this excursion allowed a lot of time for shopping. In Cozumel, we chose to do our own trip by getting in a taxi and traveling to a local beach by Chankanaab. Only $15/person including a drink and free rentals of kayak and snorkel equipment. The Dream is a wonderful ship. All the staff was eager and happy to assist with whatever request we had. One of us is gluten free and the restaurants all had options. The entertainment was great, especially the comedians. We left the kids home and got the Cloud 9 package, which we used everyday. The food in the main dining room was some of the best we every had. We tried the BBQ and buffet, but were not impressed. Guy's Burger Bar was worth going back for. There were plenty of children on the ship, but we only encountered them during meal times or when the teenagers hung out at night at the back of the ship. Also, we were lucky the weather was perfect for this time of year. We would definitely choose another Carnival Cruise. Read Less

We chose this cruise because the itinerary had places we wanted to go and sail out of a port we have never been to before (Port NOLA). Overall we had a great experience. It was my fourth Carnival cruise and my wife's first time ever cruising with any cruise line. However it was my first time staying in a balcony room and on the spa deck which I highly recommend. The amenities that are offered while staying on the spa deck are worth it and a great place to go when want to experience something more relaxing. My wife has said she will not travel with any other cruise line other than Carnival as she enjoyed it so much and our cruise director Lee Mason was fantastic and very entertaining. The entertainment was great as always with something always going on. The service was exceptional. We had anytime dining which means we sat at a different table and sometimes different sides of the dining room each night which resulted in the dining staff singing "Happy Honeymoon" to us twice during our cruise along with a personalized chocolate cake both times. We wanted to do something memorable for our 25th wedding anniversary and this cruise was just the ticket. From the excellent food and high class entertainment, this cruise had it all. Whether you wanted the fine dining of the steakhouse, the normal dining in the regular restaurants or just grabbing something on the go, we didn’t experience any bad meals. The cabin had plenty of room and was quite cozy when we did actually sleep. We had plenty of choices for excursions in the ports of call. There was something for everyone in each of the ports. The shopping opportunities in Grand Cayman & Cozumel we’re off the charts. Embarkation & debarkation both went very smoothly. I would highly recommend you purchase Faster to the Fun if it’s available when you cruise. We were able to embark well ahead of most of the cruisers which made that experience very nice. We are definitely looking forward to our next cruise! Read Less

Simon London (Cruise Director) was awesome! We must have met and spoke with Simon more than a dozen times during the cruise. Simon seemed to be everywhere at one time. One minute we would be watching a show that he was hosting, and before we could even exit to the next event, he would already be there with a different change of wardrobe and entertaining an entirely different event. We joked the entire cruise that he either had a twin or a double that would stand in for him. We took many pictures with him and anytime that he saw us, he would walk through the crowd of people to come greet us and ask us how our day was going. He always informed us of the upcoming events and we even connected with him through the chat feature on the Carnival Hub App. It was so great and funny that he would respond to us through chat as there were literally thousands of people on the ship and he would take time out of his extremely busy schedule to chat with us. Captain Alessandro Lemmi was the most gracious of all hosts. We were first in line to meet him for the Captains Toast. Upon having our pictures taken, we made a very special yet unusual request. Captain briefly considered and obliged with a formal invitation to something that was beyond anything that we could have imagined that would happen. On our last sea day, we were invited by the captain to spend time with him and spent close to an hour with him. This is a memory that we will never forget. Captain Lemme was so regal and eloquent with us and is a true gentleman. We discussed his hometown in Italy and he was very interested in our hometown in Louisiana. We discussed his very successful career in the Italian Navy, as an officer with LPG Tankers, and now his tremendous position as Captain with Carnival Cruise Lines. Captain Lemmi is most certainly what made our trip as special as it was. We cannot hold him to a higher regard and compliment his graciousness, kindness, professionalism and being an amazing host in general. Moises Clarena (Guest Services Manager) was excellent, he was very accommodating and stopped by to check on us whenever he saw us out and about. We very much enjoyed his hospitality and professionalism. Every time we saw Moises, he knew who we were, would ask us how our day was and ask if there was anything that he could do for us. He is an excellent person and host and is a true professional that does a great job. Dinner in the London Dining Room (6pm) was excellent. The service by Martinez and Edwin was excellent. They were so much fun and knew us all by name along with what we drank each night. Martinez and Edwin were gracious hosts that catered to anything that we wanted. Our conversations with them carried on from one night to the next like we were old friends. They impressed us very much and we felt very fortunate that we were placed in their care. We prepaid gratuities before the cruise, but also felt that they deserved a great deal more than that, so we tipped them very handsomely in addition. Martinez and Edwin deserve to be recognized for their outstanding service and hospitality. Theresa (bartender at the Capital Bar on deck 3) was awesome. She had the most bubbly and friendly personality. She was always so excited every time she saw us. She made the most amazing drinks and truly stood out as such a happy person that really seemed to enjoy her job. Of all the amazing bartenders on the ship, Theresa was by far the best and our favorite. She truly has a tremendously bright future ahead of her. We did the Elite Champagne Catamaran Sail & Snorkel excursion in Cozumel. Alejandro and his crew were phenomenal. This excursion far exceeded what we expected. Those guys catered to us like we were royalty. Alejandro and his crew were so much fun to be around. They let us drive the boat, they fed us an amazing Mexican meal that was accompanied with an endless supply of whatever we wanted to drink. They drove us all around the Western side of Cozumel while entertaining us constantly. They brought us to the most amazing places to snorkel while letting the current do all the work for us as we drifted near the boat down the beautiful coastline. Alejandro and his crew made this day extremely special. We also did the Mi Casa Su Casa excursion while in Progreso. Luis was a phenomenal guide and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the region. Luis was extremely friendly and made it very well known that when they said, “Mi Casa Su Casa”, they meant it. We were treated like royalty from the moment we stepped on the bus until we got back to port. The food, drinks, beach house, bartenders, butlers, guides, homeowners, massage therapists and chefs were all beyond amazing. We could not have been happier with Luis and this excursion. In conclusion, this was the first cruise for all four of us. Our party consisted of myself and my wife and our best friends (Rooms 8434 & 8439). The ship was great, so were the people and experiences. The price was excellent also. We bought the Cheers package for the unlimited alcohol and that was really cool because we never had to worry about how much our bill was going to be as it was all covered. We also booked a fifty minute deep tissue massage on the Cloud 9 Spa and it was great. Our friends and ourselves just booked next years cruise on the Carnival Glory that will visit Mahogany Bay, Belize, and Cozumel. We all look forward to trying more that Carnival has to offer. We chose this cruise because of the easy drive to New Orleans. We prepaid parking at Fulton parking garage. I’m not sure if we would do this again, but we might. We arrived earlier than our appointed check in time, but we still got on the ship fairly quickly. We loved the ship! Lee, the Cruise Director, was the best we’ve ever had and I’ve been cruising for 30+ years. Our cabin steward Suhardi was wonderful. He kept our cabin spotless and was very nice and friendly. Even though they now only clean the cabin once a day, that was fine with us. The food choices were wonderful. We loved all the food, but our favorites were Guy’s Burgers and the Blue Iguana Cantina. On the lido deck there are numerous serving stations for the buffet and the made to order omelettes. The first omelette station usually has a long line, but if you continue on to the 2nd or 3rd station, you can usually walk right up and order. Lawrence, Luis, and Rata, our main dining room servers, were great. Always friendly and calling us by name. We enjoyed the comedy club and all of the music throughout the ship. We liked the nightly shows. I would cruise on this ship again in a heartbeat! No complaints at all. Read Less
