Way too crowded and too many kids

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Because it sailed out of New Orleans and I want to visit there. We went 2 days before the cruise and 1 day after. There were over 1000 kids and 4700 passengers. The atrium was always full and the activities were geared towards kids and families. The kids were running down the halls and making lots of noise in the halls. I see they have downgraded the food. There was no corned beef and cabbage for ...

As new cruisers, three cruises so far, we have been sampling different cruise lines. Prior to our voyage on the Glory, out of New Orleans, we sailed on Norwegian's Breeze and Holland America's Nieu Stadtendam. All have been 7-day Caribbean cruises. Our first cruise was on Norwegian and we were in the Haven so we had our cruising indoctrination performed at the highest level. Cabins on all of our ...

We chose the cruise to sail with friends. We wanted to try the port of New Orleans and the price was right. First, the positive. The club balcony room was great. shower had lots of pressure and multiple jets, which really impressed the men. The sink area was spacious, with Teo faucets. Marvin, our steward, was accommodating and friendly. Food was good, and we enjoyed all the free dining rooms ...

I recently sailed on NCL via the Breakaway in Feb 2023. My cruise departed from New Orleans and went to Costa Maya (Mexico), Harvest Caye (Belize), Routan Bay Island (Honduras), and Cozumel. Overall Summary (in case you only care for the ClifNotes version): I will preface my review saying that I worked hard to get my latitudes status and do tend to feel some validation to complain if the perks ...

Other than poor housekeeping, customer service, and lack of food after 10:30pm, I had a great time!

It was a cruise! I love being on a cruise. I had 3 problems with my cruise 1). No idea who my room steward was. Never met the person, no business card, service seemed to be random. I know NCL made some staffing changes and that the rooms are now going to be made up once a day, not twice a day, but at least we should have a choice or at least meet our room steward. Service was not what it ...

Food Quality and Services were Poor

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

First, the good things. My wife and I chose this cruise as a winter getaway. We generally prefer 7 day cruises but a 5 day trip departing from New Orleans looked like a good vacation. In addition we decided to stay in an oceanview cabin and it was a good value. The Valor staff were all hard working and courteous. Every employee we encountered did the best they could in their role to serve ...

My wife, myself, my adult son, and his fiancée took the NCL Breakaway from New Orleans to the western Caribbean on 01/22/23. This was the first cruise for my son and his fiancée, and the ninth for my wife and I. NCL is the sixth cruise line for us. Our previous cruises have been on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and Celebrity. As with every cruise we have been on, it was a lot of ...

This was our first cruise and will probably be our last with NCL. Pro's - 1. Food was good 2. Drinks were good 3. Entertainment was great 4. Room was nice Con's - 1. Way to crowded - our ship was at capacity or a couple hundred short of it based on what the cruise director said. This made is hard to much of anything without waiting in long lines. 2. Loud - With the ship ...

Excursion Problem

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

User Avatar

The cruise was nice but on a shore excursion purchased on the ship we were taken to a Taquila tasting where we were sold a bottle of taquila without a label or tax stamp. The company had wrapped the bottle we purchased and we r did not discover the issue until we arrived at home. We have no idea how to obtain a $75.00 refund or how to notify authorities in Mexico. We notified Carnival of this ...

My wife and I have been on over 30 cruises with all the major criuse lines. We were diappointed in the recent cruise with RCL on the Radiance of the Seas. I understand the ship is some twenty years old and some things are just inherent with age. Some of our are issues are with the ship and others with the overall management of the ship. * We waited from 8:30 am until almost 12 noon for the ...
