The steak house was fantastic little pricey but worth it the buffet needs work. Went on 2 excursions 1st too the myan ruins lots of walking and climbing so if you have back or leg issues I don't recommend, 2 vip Beach trip well worth the money food and staffing just fantastic. Spa was great got the body scrub and massage lasted 50 minutes. Karaoke was a blast everyone there was very supportive of ...

We just got back from a 7 day Carribean cruise that left from Galveston. Definitely take a taxi to the port - would have never found out how to get there on our own. We did the park and cruise package with Holiday Inn Superdome. Taxi was $15 to the port. Since this was our first cruise we can't compare to other lines or cruises. The boarding process seemed efficient to me. Once on board it ...

Great Cruise for those seeking for slower pace

Review for a North America River Cruise on American Queen

Cruised on the Mississippi River, started in New Orleans and ended in Memphis. The cruise itself was great, no complaints and enjoyed cruising with predominately an older, more mature crowd. Ship is not recommended for someone traveling with small children or teenagers. Food was excellent and crew was very accommodating for my Celiac food allergy. Menu in the fine dining was clearly marked for ...

Just came back from our first river cruise aboard the "American Queen" on the Lower Mississippi.. Pros: Fantastic staff and fellow cruisers. Better quality food than say Carnival All inclusive Laid back and comfortable atmosphere. All American speaking crew is a BIG plus as it limits communication issues. Great Bang for the Buck! Cons: Boat could use better maintenance ...

Family Fun Time on a Fun Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

We selected a Carnival Valor cruise, because the New Orleans port was easy for all of us to get to and a five-night cruise seemed to be the right length for both the first-time cruisers and the "gold status" cruisers. The ship was packed, and you could really notice that on embarkation day and in between the end of early dinner and the beginning of late dinner, as well as at some of the bars in ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

We thought it would be fun to cruise out of New Orleans. Getting on the ship was a breeze! We had a suite so it was the first time we had priority boarding. We got to the port at 11:15 and were on the ship eating lunch by 11:30. Sail away was awesome - very cool to sail though the city and down the Mississippi. Our room steward, Webster was AMAZING. He took good care of us and also always started ...

We combined a trip to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans with this cruise. This was the only reason for selecting the Glory. Our hotel (Holiday Inn Express) is a little over a half mile from the cruise terminal but after walking the Riverwalk and Convention Center, I don't think that there is a way to get there other than by taxi. Cost was around $20. We had an early check in time and from ...

This was my very 1st cruise and it was booked for me for my birthday. It was for 4 days. Some of the foods were served cold and distasteful. That was fine. My main ussie was being attacked by bedbugs! I started i5ching day 2! By the time we got back I was swollen, itching and red on my arms, legs and ear. I made an appointment and it was confirmed that it was bedbugs. I had to get a shot and ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We did our first family cruise with our 12 year old son and 6 year old daughter. My husband and I cruised alone in 2022, so we wanted our kids to have a fun cruise experience to the Caribbean. We departed out of NOLA, where we did some non-NCL tours prior to and after the cruise. NOLA isn't kid-friendly, but we did enjoy our time there. I heard a lot of complaints about the NOLA terminal, but we ...

Very Good Cruise

Overall, I found the NCL Breakaway out of New Orleans to be a very good cruise. When you factor in all that came with the Haven I would easily put this cruise above any others we have taken before. Know that all the food we had on the ship was great and probably the best we have had on any cruise we have ever taken. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and do what they can to help ...
