Although our cruise departure was delayed because of a tropical storm in the Gulf, we still had a great time. New Orleans is one of our favorite cities so we were excited about having an extra day there. We left as planned on Saturday even though Carnival had emailed, called, and texted us two hours earlier about our cruise being delayed because of the weather. Our now two days in New Orleans were ...

I enjoyed this cruise more than the my two previous cruises. The Conquest was a beautiful ship. The food was absolutely fabulous. I was disappointed with the food on the Ecstasy so this was a pleasant surprise. We had dinner in the dining room six out of seven nights. We choose Your time Dining. This worked out great for us and we were able to meet more people this way when were seated at a table ...

This was our 5th cruise with Carnival and 2nd cruise on the Conquest... We sailed with her 10 years ago and had fond memories... This review is a quick review without using names and specific facilities.... Overall we liked the ship and the crew but found areas that will keep us from going on Carnival again.... The MDR food was not very good except on a couple of nights... Port nights the food was ...

Hit-and-miss! Great ports, friendly crew, so-so food & service.

Unlike previous reviews where I have droned-on in prose, this time I'm going to get to the crux my cruise experience so you can better decide if this is the right cruise for you. The ship: Big, whimsical, and gaudy, with a nice, mostly functional layout. PROS (what's working well on the Carnival Conquest) -Sheets have been upgraded since last cruising, still a poly blend, but nicer than ...

Activities that we're use to on cruises didn't happen. Live music is GONE. More and more and MORE bars. We've decided that based on what we've seen over the years, Carnival is changing to be the FUN SHIPS for the drunken party crowd. It wasn't that much of a family experience on this ship. PROS Embarkation - Quickest I've been through the process yet! Way to go New Orleans! Dining Room - ...

Carnival Funship 2.0= Fail!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Conquest

Carnival has undertaken a huge top to bottom review of operations designed to slash costs and increase revenue and called it Carnival Funship 2.0. It has been a failure on a massive scale with multiple ships breaking down and trashing Carnival's reputation. The changes to onboard operations are also miserable failures. First, if you enjoy having a nice, leisurely sit down meal rather than ...

Carnival Conquest to Key West and Bahamas

Cruising out of NOLA? Think twice. Cruising to Key West and The Bahamas? I would recommend the Roatan-Belize-Cozumel Trip over KeyWest-Bahamas trip on the Conquest. Reason: More to do in ports of call, prettier ocean to view as you are cruising between ports, better weather, less wind, warmer ocean, nicer beaches. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. If you cruised 10 years ago, you ...

What a pleasure to learn we don't enjoy big cruise ships

After ten days and God knows how many miles I have returned safe and sound. As with any journey there were many surprises, but sadly a good number of disappointments. The biggest surprise was Jeff Pinder and his tour of Freeport. The biggest let down was the food on the Carnival Conquest. I am glad we went, and despite not having a chair with a back in the cabin, the overall mediocre food on ...

We sailed on the Conquest on Superbowl Sunday 2/3/2012. When we booked, we thought we were getting a great price because of the Superbowl but that as it turned out - the price was our first issue. The cruise went down so much after we booked we contacted Carnival for either a room adjustment or on board credit... NOTHING!!... People who paid about the same as we did (but booked at the last ...
