Lovely, relaxing time on a tidy ship with a well-organized crew

It was time to get back to cruising - we drove this time - parking was literally above the terminal. Pre-trip testing was a worry, but the combination of eMed proctored test kits and Verifly made it easy. Take pictures of vaccine cards and test results and they review them- green check marks are good. Check in was super-fast and easy. No waiting or lines. We were avoiding packed indoor ...

Breakaway Deception

First look at the false advertisement NCL claimed to offer rock climbing and even currently they say this is offered on the breakaway, however you can see from my recent April 2022 photo the rock wall is gone. It was apparently removed during the covid-19 cruise stoppage period. They also closed the splash academy for child care and closed the kiddie splash pad swim area and blamed the closure on ...

I was in different room and still had the best room steward, Terrian again. He saw to my needs and was always there to help anyone who had any needs. He was constantly working at all diffenent hours. I was more aware of ship layout and was able to enjoy even more activities this time around. Carnival to me is a great cruise line (I have friends that sail other lines that are usually ...

After two years of not taking a vacation, we were ready to go! This same cruise was planned pre-pandemic. Needless to say, it was cancelled. When I rescheduled I told my wife that maybe we ought to upgrade to the Haven. She agreed. All the things I've heard about the Haven were proven to be true! From check-in, where we walked right past all the people on line, to disembarkation, where again ...

We arrived the day before to be safe. Overnight at the Hilton (nice but pricey, but all NO waterfront is pricy). After dropping luggage we left our car at the Fulton St Garage after an online reservation & payment. Worked great! About a 3 block walk from the ship. $12/night. Embarkation took about an hour. If you are older, the new upcharged speedy embarkation would be worth it. We just ...

Disney is taking really good care of the Wonder

The Disney Wonder is the last ship I sailed pre-pandemic in January 2020. Although the ship looked in decent shape then, DCL had the Wonder spend some time at a drydock during the pandemic and the room and common areas felt "refreshed" although nothing significant had changed. This near 25-year old ship, on the outside, looks better than some of the 5 years old ship from a major ...

Once we arrived at the port, things moved pretty quickly. That wasn’t the case traveling on I-10 near New Orleans as all lanes were crawling with police escorting Mardi Gras floats to a parade. Ah, the joys of traveling from the Big Easy during Mardi Gras. The bathrooms were closed in the terminal and I get the impression that happens a lot. Also, although we arrived before noon, the first ...

The staff in this ship Was fabulous! Very attentive . Specialty dining was great as was the entertainment we were able to see. Magic show and contortionist act was fabulous. Alex the comedian had me laughing for days! Burn the floor made me want to take dance lessons ! The poolside contests were super fun and my husband won the iron man “crowd favorite” which is a great memory. We also played a ...

This is my 3rd time on NCL and this trip just seemed to be so much needed and really stands out as a fun safe cruise. There was a lot to do and with 22 restaurants, plenty of places to eat. I booked dinners at Ocean Blue and the food was fantastic and Moderna was so elegant. All the staff was attentive and made you feel like you were their main concern. I had so much fun on the two excursions I ...

My friend got me along with his Family trip for his Auntie’s Bday Celebration and what sold me out is it was a cruise in Mexico! there you go! travel junkie here, but anyways.. it was a 5 days (01/15- 3pm Sailing | 01/20-8am Disembarkation) cruise to Mexico, since Pandemic I wasn’t really expecting anything and I even thought it might get cancelled, but hey! there I was having a glass of piña ...
