This is my second RC cruise, 20th overall cruise, this was the most disappointing. I believe in celebrating the positives so I'll start there. Nine days with great weather, met some awesome people and had the BEST/most enthusiastic activities staff EVER (on any ship or line). Now why this got a two star: worst, most bland food of any cruise, Princess held this title for nine years but Navigator of the Seas now claims the title. I say this strictly from Windjammer and late seating main dining. My food was cold or luke warm when it should have been hot, and multiple dishes were straight up bland and flavorless. I addressed this during on board surveys and with waiters and head waiters, and even the staff seemed to know it. When the staff won't even drink the orange juice because it's color water there's a fundamental problem. To be fair the turkey dinner was good and the pizza in the promenade cafe was delicious. Sadly at one point my fellow guests and I questioned if this was a corporate decision to make subpar food included so that you would pay the surcharge and eat at specialty restaurants. I cannot speak from first hand about any of these but three different groups had not been happy with hooked or the chop house either. Biggest complaint cold, bland food. The burritos at Loco Fresh were good but the hours are just afternoon. Ben and Jerrys was tasty and reasonably priced (free soft serve by the pool was not good). Drinks were bad. I thought I would enjoy some fun tropical drinks on this vacation but the flavor and quality was all over the place. Some drinks were too strong and imbalanced others too watered down and flavorless. I'm really glad I did not get the drink package. Best drinks were served by the solarium pool. They were a positive and cheerful staff and most consistent. Schooner Bar was all over the place, some great, others undrinkable. Disappointed that movies in your stateroom had a $12 cost, that's crazy when other cruise lines movies are free. The room was regularly cleaned (loved the magnets on the door to notify staff). The pools were well monitored by lifeguards and after an early rumble for chairs by the pool there was a nice staff member who pulled towels and bags if people didn't show up within 30 minutes. I was impressed with RC that they followed through with this. Muster drill was efficient. Illusionist and ventriloquist were great shows (two of the best ever). Comedians were disappointing. I had a great time on this cruise but I think I'll take a break from this line. I hadn't been super impressed with my first experience and unfortunately this one didn't improve upon it. Read Less

We had a wonderful time on the newly refurbished Navigator. We chose this cruise because we had always wanted to see the ABC islands and this was a nice 9 day out of Miami, saving us airfare to Puerto Rico. We had sailed on Navigator before and were excited to see her after this impressive refit. We booked a balcony and travelled with my sister's family who has kids the same age as ours (10 and 12). We had adjoining rooms and were able to open the balcony door to share the space. As with anything there were some hits and some misses that I will summarize: Hits - the new water slides are great. By far the most fun we have tried at sea. The two person raft slide was perfect to go down with our kids. - the addition of a splash pad for the little ones was appreciated by several families - the new El Loco Fresh was a hit. Great tasting Tex Mex fajita style food that was included at no extra charge. Nicely located by the pool for lunch or a snack - the new sports bar was very popular - they actually had a professor of astronomy on board giving lectures. They were fascinating and our oldest loved it - the new ice show was a great production with some effects I've never seen before - The evening shows were entertaining. The Royal productions shows had very talented singers and dancers. The comedians were hysterical. - this itinerary was all we hoped for. We thought Aruba would be the highlight, but snorkeling at Bonaire was simply like swimming in an aquarium. Truly an unspoiled gem Misses - the new Johnny Rockets Express was disappointing. The food was good, but it is now an open area next to the pool. You lose the charm of dining in a 50's diner and no more dancing and singing staff. The pool noise was so loud that the manger actually had to unplug the speaker near Johnny's so that the staff could hear what people were ordering. - speaking of noise, I lost count of the number of people wearing noise cancellation at the pool deck. Someone had it turned to "11" ! - our cabin was disappointing. Our glass door to the balcony had a wind leak. We had maintenance out twice to fix, but they could never get a good seal. For a ship just out of dry dock, they had not fixed some of the basics. Also, the door that lets you merge two adjoining balconies would not latch and would bang around if you didn't keep it closed. Definite design issue here. - the ship definitely is more crowded. The staff told us that with the additional cabins and 3rd or 4th person bunks, they could cram an additional 1400 people on Navigator. You noticed it at show times, dinner seating and elevators. Not horrible, but definitely noticeable. - the crew as a whole seemed to be finding their feet. Not sure if it is because they came out of dry dock 2 weeks prior, but there seemed to be a lot of scrambling. Two of our dinners took 2 hours+ for no really good reason. Our cabin steward was simply the worst we ever had with Royal. Barely was seen and often didn't get to our rooms until lunch time and around 9:00pm at night - we wanted to do the Escape Room but had to pass. They charge $20 per person regardless of party size. If the 8 of us signed up it would be $160! We could do 4 escape rooms back home for that much. Also, no children under 12 were permitted, so we passed. I never talked with anyone that had done it the entire cruise. I'm guessing it won't be around long. - the Main Dining Room was good most of the time. My concern is that the menu choices seem to be fewer and fewer with each cruise. For all that, we had a wonderful time. I don't want to give the impression that I'm one of those people that complain they are on a cruise! Just want to give you an honest assessment. The ship is beautiful with lots of great spaces and features after this refit. The ABC's lived up to their billing! Nine days was just right for us!!! Read Less

Chose Royal Caribbean as our last experience was so great. Talked three families that have no cruising experience into joining us and we so embarrassed due to the terrible food and cancellation of multiple excursions. Food was so bad we all could not wait to get off ship at ports to eat at a local restaurant. One of our traveling couples bought the three dinners at non main dinning room places on board ship and after first dinner asked for a refund. Then they were given a free dinner at same place by staff and it was no better than the first. They both are frequent cruisers and they also said this was the worst experience they have ever had on any cruise and they cruise a lot, (30 plus cruises). Multiple Shore excursion were canceled at last minute giving us no time to rebook or change plans. One excuse was weather related and it was the nicest day of whole cruise. Departure day back in Miami was a total mess. Took hours to get off boat and people were missing excursions and travel connections. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the Itinerary first Aruba, Bonaire, Curacoa and Labadee... Let me start with the Islands, Labadee other than the locals hounding you to buy merchandise (we did buy some stuff to help out as this is a poor Island) the set up here is very nice, Nice beach, OK not great BBQ lunch, drinks can be bought on sign and sail card. IF you want to do anything other than just swim and enjoy the water $$$$ depending on what you choose. Aruba we did the Depalma Island this was worth the money spent free lunch buffet or Grill items (breakfast if you make it there early) Free drinks, Burgers, chicken and ribs were good. Snorkeling was great (this was free). Water slides for kids, banana boat (free). Snuba extra $$ Bonaire we just walked through the town and straw type market with local vendors, Not pushy at sll. Curacoa we did a tour with the beach this was a very nice set up to swim and relax. Food and Drinks and lounge extra $ Now for the ship the Good- Crew was extremely friendly and very attentive Food was good, Windjammer got a little stale same breakfast every morning, lunch they tried to mix it up. Dinner in the Dining room we had Succoro and Rene excellent very attentive to our needs and made very good suggestions for dinner Not so Bad- Ship is ready to be refurbished in some areas this was evident but the crew continuously worked painting etc... and the staff tried to keep it picked up after all the passengers. Bad- Very must and moldy smelling in many areas, Only saw the cruise director in the evening or on TV. There were very few announcements on what was going on during the day or evening. Entertainment never attended any when we found them they were started or getting over. During the day they had scrapbooking, cards, napkin folding, Salsa lessons, some trivia We are not the scrapbooking, card playing, napkin folding type... Salsa and trivia could not be found until it was almost over. Disembarkation was a mess very unorganized- We did self assist they had us out on the promenade for over an hour and when we got inside they had several other lines merging into our line... Talk about some upset guest!!! If you go on this ship at least you MUST be married to your daily paper for activities, (we never received ours until well into the after noon).. that was hard trying to find things to do. We generally cruise Carnival and will go back due to the fact that they seem better organized, and there is so much to do that you have to choose what you really want to do. they also give you announcements telling you when things are happening. Almost for got to mention the Clubs the Teen Club for out 16 year old son was full of tweens so he did not go there. Flow Rider was packed and rock climbing also. So 16 year old made friends and stayed at pool and jacuzzie, played basket ball.. Club for age 11 catered to mostly the Younger ones in that group so our 11 year old was bored and did not attend after the first day All in all.. Loved the Islands... Ship and RCL just Ok. I have Friends and RCL is all they Cruise. This was my 3rd trip with them and will return to Carnival Read Less

We were not impressed with our first Royal Caribbean cruise. We expected it to be higher quality than the Princess and Norwegian cruises we usually take. It wasn’t. In fact, it was of lesser quality and just above Carnival, in our view. Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly. Dining: The meals were uninspired. Most menu selections were typical restaurant fare—nothing special—and repeated night after night. We were annoyed by breakfast in the dining room when they tried to steer us towards a buffet set up in the dining room. My wife ordered waffles with a carmel sauce from the menu and was told to get it herself from the buffet! If we wanted the buffet, we would not have gone to the dining room! Service at all meals was mediocre. The staff was friendly and helpful, but they simply had too many tables assigned to them to provide good service. Another negative was that the buffet and soft ice cream machines shut down at 9 pm! We couldn’t believe it. Also, they ran out of grapefruit halfway through the cruise. Teen Club: Our daughter was in the 12-14 year olds. This club was terrible! Worst of any cruise we have been on. The staff was lazy and didn’t bother coordinating many of the activities that were planned. In addition, they had few supplies. For example, for a bandana-decorating activity, they had exactly 4 bandanas. For 20 kids. Pitiful and inexcusable. Entertainment: The Royal Caribbean singers and dancers were very average. Also, the major entertainment on Saturday night was a decent comic, but he only did 30 minutes! Really? RC couldn’t spring for a 45-50 minute set? Sad. There were some positives: The morning Zumba class was excellent. The ship excursion in Aruba (Pelican sailing beach and snorkel tour) was very good. The temperature on the ship was generally comfortable, not ice cold like we’ve experienced on many other ships. The rock climbing wall and FlowRider were fun, though the latter typical had a 20-30 minute wait. Last note: Other cruisers told us that one must get on the newer and bigger RC ships (i.e. more expensive cruises) to get the experience RC is known for and that we were expecting. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the date and itinerary. We were traveling with our older kids, in their 20s. Embarkation was OK, but it always feels a bit disappointing when there is no one to even great you as you walk on board. If you are a new cruiser, you don't really know where to go, what to do. There was no one on board as we walked in. We proceeded to the cabins as they were ready. The highlight of my cruise was my junior suite. I absolutely loved it. Our kids were in an Oceanview. The Navigator is looking a bit tired. It was my 3rd time on it. I am a diamond member on RCL but recently have mostly been sailing Celebrity. This cruise reminded me of why. What was most disappointing was the fact that in the afternoon, you can't get food anywhere, except the promenade cafe. Between 3:30 and 6:00 pm. So pizza, for which there is always a huge line up and they are constantly running out, or pre-done sandwiches. My daughter is Vegan and unlike our recent celebrity cruises, feeding her was a challenge. I asked if we could get a sandwich that would suit her, but we were told yes, but we would have to come back the next day for it…. Main dining room was also a challenge for her. On day 4 of 9, after I complained, we finally got them to acknowledge her diet. Drink service was slow. The first 3 nights we were never offered coffee or tea, and not until after dessert. On the 4th night, I said, I really like my coffee WITH my dessert. They brought it to me, but never offered anyone else. Service got better around day 6. I must say that I believe this was due to poor leadership from the head waiter. He was so unpleasant, and creepy that I can't imagine the staff working under his guidance. He would come to our table and hover, stand there, and really not helpful at all. Entertainment was good, the ports excellent. The staff at the front desk very helpful. our cabin attendant, was very moody and as a result, I reduced the tips. I rarely do so, but up until the very last minute, she was up and down. Disembarkation was a disaster, but this was due to issues in there terminal building. Although, I do hate being yelled at like a piece of cattle in the morning. It was really unpleasant. I know the staff does this day in, day out, but it's their job and the staff that would greet you as you got off the elevator were really rude. It's early, everyone is carrying stuff, it's the end of the vacation and being treated like this really takes away from the good vacation memory. Read Less

The ship was huge and it never felt crowded even though there were lots of people on it. Always enough staff around to assit with anything. Cabin was nice, spacious. no complaints Entertainment....Headliners, comedians were awesome and super funny. The band was really great but the horn players were excellent!! There is always something to do esp in the evening. The service was really good. Honestly great except one particular woman "cashier" in the Casino but not going to let that efect the overall experience. Bartenders are all great!! friendly and fast service. DO your homework on ports of call before you get on the ship. I rented a car on Curacao and Bonaire so we could explore the beaches and snorkel. If you know in advance the best beaches you will save time trying to figure out last min while driving. RESERVE your car rental in advance. It took almost 1 and half hour in Curacao to rent a car, remeber its island time and they dont have many employees. Just one usually who checks you in, then brings you to the car then goes back to the next person waiting. Plus they will usually sell out of cars before you even get to sit down. You can do tours with the ship or walk around and find your own for less cost but you should book ahead of time (at home) before you arrive. DON'T Sleep in when at port. There is not enough time to explore and shop, eat ETC if you are taking your time. Don't be late getting back give yourself ATLEAST 30 mins spare time before you're supposed to get back incase of traffice or unforseen issues. My son is 12 and luckily Royal Carribean pts them in the teen group. So 12- and up. HE LOVED IT!!! so many kids and they have so much to do including their own dinner nights. Its not the same when you have a 12 year old who has to go in 12 and under group like some other cruises do. Let them be young adults and have fun!!! I met most of the kids he hung out with and they were all just happy to kinda do thier own thing when you let them. Don't forget your digital underwater- waterproof camera. a must have for these beautiful islands. Hope this review helped :-) Have fun!!! Read Less

We chose this particular cruise for the itinerary and we were not disappointed! We were pleasantly surprised by the high level of service we received from the crew of the ship. Everyone seemed to truly enjoy their work, always smiling and happy to make our cruise enjoyable. Our cabin steward was fantastic (I believe his name was Ezra) and our cabin was always in order. We booked a second cabin across the hall for our two teenagers so you can only imagine what condition it was in each morning, but they would come back to a clean and tidy space each day. For the first time we had an assigned dining time and was again impressed by the level of service. Our waiter knew our names the first night, made excellent recommendations and would tell us about the upcoming menu for the next night. The service was speedy but not rushed so I do not understand the other reviews saying how dinner would drag out for hours. We ran into our waiter several times in other parts of the ship and he would still greet us by name and ask about our day! He was excellent! The ports on the cruise were just amazing. On Labadee we did the daypass for the Dragon's Tail which was a blast. There is a new floating bar off of Adrenaline beach to try out:-) I Aruba we did an ATV excursion which was a blast since there were "no rules"!! Our teenage son REALLY liked that. On Curacao we did the East Island Tour which we found to be fun and informative. Our favorite was Bonaire as it was so laid back. I hope it keeps its charm....I want to keep it a secret! We will definitely go back for more incredible diving. Overall another great Royal Caribbean vacation!! Another first for us was that we booked out next cruise while on board. We are super excited to experience the Symphony of the Seas. Read Less

We began this celebration of our 35th anniversary with a night in Miami, near the port. We enjoyed a wonderful meal of Cuban food and a it of music to complete our initial travel day. After a relaxing morning at the hotel we made our way via Taxi to the port (5 minutes). Embarkation was smooth as silk. Dropped our bags, went through security and queued up in our line for check-in. Didn't take very long at all and we were on the ship enjoying the first of MANY meals along with a cocktail! We chose an inside cabin on a middle deck. It was roomy, dark (good sleeping) and quiet. Of course the room attendant was excellent thoughout the cruise. One of our bags didn't show up, but it turns out the ship held it because I had a 3" pointless diving knife in my BCD. After talking to a security wall for a few minutes, i gave up and they ended up stealing my knife. Logic did not prevail, but they did give me a pointed, sharp 6" long steak knife each night.. I still don't get it.. anyway.. I choose to eat in a healthy manner. I don't eat grains, starches or sugars as I'm diabetic and low-carb is a requirement for managing my sugar and weight. Not a problem in the Windjammer as you plate your own food and they had real whole foods available to eat. In fact the variety at breakfast and lunch were excellent! In the main dining room it was the efforts of our wait staff that made our experience delightful. They substituted and mixed and matched to create plates that met my dietary requirements. Wonderful experience! The scuba diving in Bonaire and Curacao was wonderful. We booked these ourselves as we've been to the islands on numerous occasions. Atlantis Diving in Curacao with Marcel was wonderful. Met us when and where he said and we enjoyed two 1 hour shore dives. In Bonaire we dove with Dive Friends Bonaire with instructor Evo! Again, thoroughly enjoyed these dives as we picked the site and enjoyed or 60 minute dives. We had booked a dive in Aruba with S.E.Aruba Fly n Dive, but for some reason they aren't able to go where all the other vendors and even taxis go so we waited for them for an hour but they never showed up. Apparently they are restricted from going where the others go - not sure why but it was a lesson learned. Never again.. The adult drink package on the ship was great. No signing pieces of paper, etc. Just order your drinks and enjoy your cruise. Service across the board was excellent. Plenty of places on the ship to enjoy quiet time. Or you can join the other couple of thousand people you're vacationing with out by the pool (not my thing) but they seemed to be having fun.. The nightly entertainment is excellent. Loved the late night comedians - too funny. My only real complaint about this cruise was the fact that they allowed smoking in the casino. The stench was so bad we didn't actually make it inside as the smell knocked you back before getting inside. At least outside you knew not to walk on the port side on the deck that had smoking. Couldn't smell them on the other side of the ship outside.. Cheers!! Read Less

Our experience at the royal Caribbean cruise as be so lovely. Their cabin are the perfect size for a couple looking for a getaway. Their dish at the main dining room are so appetizing. The big selection of food at the buffet is very highly pleasant to taste. The Navigator of the seas have many delightful cuisine from different ethnicity such as Caribbean food, Asian food and many more. There's many big variation of fun activities inside the boat for any age. Taking a vacation can affect they way our physic look, but the Navigator of the seas offer a gym, with different classes such as pilates, it's a good way to stay in shape during a pleasant vacation. The staff were wonderful, we can't say enough good things about them, they were great. Helpful, friendly and just in general very lovely at what they do.The Captain and his team were also incredible, they have offer us a wonderful trip without getting lost but just staying on track. Embarkation was a hot mess. Will try to avoid the Port of Miami in the future. Long lines & much confusion. Not even helpful to be a platinum member. Room had a dirty comforter, but after it was changed it was kept clean & the room attendant was was very prompt. Dining request was not right, even though we booked over a year prior. Was told by the maitre d it would be corrected by dinner, & it was not. Stood in line for 20 mins before the matre d even spoke to us. Next day, our table was in front of the wait station. Dining room dinner menu wasn't good, & the choices have been the same for years. Also, why are people coming to dinner in shorts & flip flops? Windjammer food was ok some days, but mostly rice, potatoes, & bread pudding! Where's the chicken? Same foods & desserts on most days, which made it hard to find something to eat. Usually love the production shows, but they were pretty dull, & the dancers were not very good. The ice show was good, just wish they had more than one. The 70's night & game shows were good as always. Pictures are not printed on this ship, & had to look at them on a screen with the logo covering up most of it. Complained that it was hard to see, & got a nasty attitude from Alex in photo. I bought 2, & when they printed it was very dark & the quality was bad. I was told they changed the photo paper to a cheaper paper. Then, this Alex guy decided to butt in on the conversation again & argue with me. I had to tell him not to speak to me! Lastly, the ship was ice cold everywhere. We had to wear long pants, long sleeves, & sweatshirts. We brought pool towels to cover ourselves. We had to turn the heat on in our cabin to warm up. We picked this cruise based on the ports of call (aside from crappy Labadee) and we wanted to try RC as we had heard good things. BEWARE, they will nickle and dime you to death if you let them. EVERYTHING is way over priced and sub standard. The buffet food was TERRIBLE for the most part. The "juice" they offer is just fake sugar water not real juice (unless you want to pay a lot extra). The Adult Beverages are weak, WAY over priced and poorly made for the most part. Bar service is very slow and altogether unfriendly (except in the Concierge Club). The staff in general was unfriendly and seemed to genuinely dislike their jobs (except our main dining room wait staff and specialty restaurant staff, they were great!). They were unwilling to accommodate even simple requests. The coffee they serve is VERY good. The ship itself was nice but I would just give it an average overall rating for layout and design. We will never sail on RC again unless it is a GREAT deal with GREAT ports. Read Less

We have sailed many times on Royal Caribbean. This time we took a 9 day spring break cruise. I was surprised by how few young families there were on the ship and how many seniors were on the trip. Next time we will take a 7 day cruise. The ship was very nice and clean. The venues were good but there wasn't a lot going on. On the days at sea I was expecting a daytime trivia or couples game or something but nothing....other than the bingo which cost way too much! The night time entertainment was very good. We enjoyed each show. Our cabin was nice and well kept and the stateroom attendant was there for whatever we needed. Our dining experience was ok. After a few days you get tired of the same foods over and over again. We had dinner at chops for our anniversary and the overall ambience of the restaurant was very nice. The food was ok and the waiter was wonderful. The only problem we have with the dining on the ship at dinner in the main dining room and at chops is that they let you in there to dine wearing just about whatever you want. I feel that if you go to a nice place and are paying more you should dress in more than jean shorts and flip flops. We loved the ports of call. We would go back and visit all of them except Curacao...not too impressed with that island. Nothing inparticular...l just liked Aruba and Bonnaire better. One thing about Royal caribbean I think they need to become more of a fun ship. LIke I said we were hard pressed to find something to do on the at sea days other than sit by the pool, which was fine. I personally enjoy playing group trivia and games. The cruise director was great but there was some other woman who was working with him and she was very low energy. She was a nice lady but not the kind of person who should be in front of a crowd. Next year we are already booked for a 7 day cruise on the Oasis with the dreamworks experience. We have two young children ages 8 and 10 and it was so hard to pull them from the adventure ocean room. They lived there for the entire week, which was great for us! The only thing is that we compare the adventure ocean to the carnival kids club. When we cruised on Carnival our kids brought home some type of keepsake craft after every visit to the club. This time not so much, they got a bandana and a pillow case. The prices after 10 for child care are very reasonable. I am hoping for a younger crowd and a more fun ship experience next year...if not we may revisit Carnival. Read Less

Flew in from the West Coast so we took an extra day in Miami. This Cruise was for my 50th Bday had 2 of our 5 kids with us, the others are in college not so lucky for them!! The extra day in Miami was nice because we got in at midnight and had a great day to relax without trying to embark after a long flight the next morning. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Right across the street from the port. Location and the staff were the only things going for this Holiday Inn. They tried but they have a lot of work to do on this hotel. Lobby is nice, our room was what I call a low grade room. Sleep and shower and you don't want to be in there any longer then that. That being said it worked for us. Embarkation went well. walked in got in our lines. I thought it was funny because all of the Crown and Anchor level members had longer lines to get their sea pass card then the cruisers with no crown and anchor society. We were on the ship in no time. Everyone was friendly around us and the crew was helpful and happy while we got on. Disembarkation had a little hiccup. One of the gangplanks did not work so everyone was trying to get off through one gangplank. Its funny how impatient everyone can be, as well as this is any fault of RCCL. Stuff happens and its no ones fault. We have been on this same ship class before. They did refurbish it and it may need another refurbishing coming up soon. The Navigator was clean in all areas I went to. I did not spend anytime in the casino but I am sure it was clean as well. I love that they added the flow rider the kids and I spent lots of time on it. It is a great size ship I feel and we had a sold out sailing. That being said I never felt that crowded. We seemed to find chairs in the pool area or one floor up around the pool area to see everything that was going on. Maybe the only crowds where in the WJ and my wife waited a few times for the women's bathroom. The crew was super friendly and said hello everywhere we went. Bar service was better then I expected especially since I only had the soda card and would get sodas. There were several times I would be asked by another bar tender if I needed anything while my drink was being filled. Cabin was great. We had a balcony and we loved it. The room was very clean and our bathroom always shined. Our steward was there and met us when we got to our room. He told us his ours that he worked but if we needed him for anything to call him and he gave us his card. He was great we had ice twice a day in our room. He also left the towel animals I linked up during the week. We saw him 2-3 times a day and he made sure we were being taken care of. Dining I felt the food was very good not great. We only ate in the WJ and MD for our food. We did not do any specialty places except we did go to Johnny Rockets one night. Our waiter and asst waiter were outstanding. Asst waiter had my soda filled every time it got low. I never had to ask and always left a pretty full drink by the end of dinner. Waiter always had us try and extra meal if we wondered if it was good. He would say your on vacation try both. Was one of my favorite waiters over all my cruises. Ice show was everyones favorite and it is amazing what they can do on skates with a boat rocking around. My two daughters did the teen club and loved it. My older daughter was in and out went to what she wanted and my 15 year old met some great friends and they did everything together. Loved the flow rider, rock climbing wall. The mini golf is pretty basic and lots of activities like basketball, volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, and several other games. Had tournaments set up for youth and teens and adults throughout the week. The night shows were good although we didn't go to all of them. The Broadway review was amazing. As I mentioned I felt our service was outstanding we were helped and acknowledge every where we went. Crew was great. Kids loved the Teen supervisor as well. Sushi I think was her name not sure of the spelling but she made the times great for them. Labadee was a great beach day. I have not sat on a beach that long in a while. We were there for several hours. My daughter and I through the football for 1.5 hours straight. I thought my arm was going to fall off. The lunch offered was pretty basic ribs, hot dogs hamburgers, it was ok for a meal at the beach. We avoided the venders since my wife was attacked the last time we were there, with everyone trying to get you in there shop. We did go into the market very low key and easy to look around. Probably could have got a better price with the venders but they are relentless if you don't buy. Curacao we got off and just explored. We found a driver he took us around the island and showed us everything and told us everything about the island. He took us to a great little beach where we swam for a while. It was beautiful. Did a bulk of our shopping. Was a little mad with some of the chain stores after the fact because at some of them they had better discounts in Aruba. Aruba we set up a tour off the ship before we went with Danny's 2 Wheel Adventure. This was a Segway tour. I loved it Danny met us right out of the cruise ship terminal. Picked us up and we became instant friends. He was like part of the family and was awesome. We got to his shop and he took time with us to make sure we were comfortable on the Seaways. Spent as much time as each person needed. He locked up our bags and what ever else we wanted so we didn't have to carry anything as we road. Taught us about the island and the history. Always made sure we were comfortable and asked us often if we needed a break or wanted to keep going make us in charge if we wanted to stop and rest or not. He bought us all a smoothie at the lighthouse which was very good and refreshing. It was an amazing adventure. He lets us swim for a while at his shop and then took us back to the pier. He even made an extra stop for us that he didn't need to. He was very personable and took great care of us. He is a great tour guide and would not hesitate referring him to anyone. Bonaire was our favorite Island of the trip. It is a dessert Island with lots of cacti. We dove at this island. I read lots of reviews before I went and we went with VIP Diving. It is the best choice I have ever made in a dive company. I have been diving since I was 12 and as I stated earlier I am now 50. I have dove all over the Caribbean, HI, FL, west coast from WA to CA. These guys are the best dive company I have every used. We were again greeted right out of the ships terminal and Martian was our dive guide. He talked to us for a while but asked us questions about the diving that day what we wanted to see or do in our dive and went through what we would do for the day. Martian was an A1 person and dive master. So we went to the shop filled out some paper work and as we sat around the table he answered any concerns we might have and again pointe out a couple of dives we might want to do. We got to meet the owner of VIP diving while we were there and he was very friendly and was there to make sure we were taken care of and treated well. We were all given a real great water bottle that we would be able to use through out the day. What a great idea I thought we get a souvenir from Bonaire and we keep the environment friendly by not using a bunch of plastic bottles. We then were fitted with all our dive gear and gear was place in bins and we had them in the back of the truck. We were off to our first dive site. Martin was very thorough in our question and answer session. The best part about the dive shop was I felt that our experience was more important then getting us in to dive and back to the ship. First dive we did was perfect about 35 feet and lots of fish. We all had a good dive and everything went perfect. Second was this really cool spot no one was around. I thought it was amazing. During the dive my youngest daughter had some ear issues. Martian went above an beyond to make her feel comfortable calm. We had an amazing dive and loved every minute of it. VIP provided lunch for us and it was extremely good. I loved this dive shop and I cannot wait to comeback and dive with them again. Read Less

We cruise every other year and go with a group of friends that ranges from 50 to over 100 guest in total each time. RCI has always met and exceeded our expectations both individually and as a group. The ship was in great condition, clean, well kept, and easy to navigate around. The crew were remarkable and always happy to help. Our cabin steward could not have been any better. Room was always clean and neat every time we walk out of it. The food was very good. A decent variety of food each day but if you like any particular items they would do there best to accommodate your requests. The main dining room service was extremely nice. Both our head waiter and assistant waiter were the best we have ever had. Always helpful and quick. I do feel the quality of the food has gone down from past cruises but that could be so that some guests will opt for the fine dining that cost more money. Read Less

Navigator is a beautiful ship that Royal Caribbean stuffed with more passengers (over 3800) than its crew can handle well. Despite assigned times to embark, too many passengers arrived early and were crammed into a hall to wait on line to check in. 40 minutes is too long for this process given that passengers check in online well in advance of sailing. Disembarkation was better run but passengers were forced into different waiting areas than they were assigned to just the day before.Elevators are inadequate at certain times each day. Main concourse is overcrowded all evening every day.Vintages is an outstanding wine venue that often is overwhelmed by very loud music elsewhere on deck 5. Great wines and tapas make it one of the best shipboard experiences - Nikka and Senzell are consumate professionals. Most damning of all is that the food in the Main Dining Room (Sapphire) is flat out mediocre. A very good prime rib is plated atop gravy rather than natural au jus. Fish entrees are better but the serving is probably 5 ounces . The classic steaks on the dinner menu each evening are good but very thin and easily overcooked. Lunch in Main Dining is better on the days it is offered - nice salad bar with a few entrees for self-service off the buffet with a full line up of entrees that can be ordered. Windjammer is a horrible place to dine. Mostly because too many guests are balancing plates while looking for their families in scattered seating areas. Some entrees like carved to order meats/poultry are good but hot dogs and hamburgers are overcooked while pasta dishes are left under warming lights until crisp. Windjammer food in the warming trays is inconsistent in temperature. Breakfast potatoes were often cold on top . Room service suffered from the same problem. Entertainment was very good with excellent comedians and excellent singers/dancers suffering under 50- 70 year old music rather than anything from the last 20 years except for Adele songs. Talent is wasted with this out of date material on a Spring Break cruise. Cuddy, the cruise director who departed the ship at the end of the cruise was excellent both in person and on the Morning Show with Cuddy and Mark. Labadee, Aruba and Bonaire were excellent ports. Curacao was disappointing because our excursion transportation broke down on a highway ramp heading to the snorkel boat and our excursion and return to the ship was delayed by 2 hours as a result. I submitted a written complaint to the Shore Excursion Desk but was never contacted by them or anyone at Royal Caribbean. The three of us spent about $5,000 on this cruise - $3,051 for base fare, $912 for excursions and another $1,000 for wine, gratuities, parking at the port and other expenses. The value delivered was far less. We will not be sailing on this large a ship again. Our 11 prior cruises were on ships under 2,700 passengers with most on 2,000 passenger ships that had far less crowding, fewer elevator problems and fewer lines. Read Less
