Poor communication

The disembarkation in Boston for non American guests was a fiasco, eventually got off the ship at 2.30 to return by 4.30. Needed more announcemnets. lots of passengers very disappointed as they had not been to Boston before. The ship seemed to be rather dirty, all the soft furnishings (seating in public areas) needed a good clean. The linen and towels very thin. The food in the Windjammer ...

Many Negative Surprises

1. Bath room was equipped with a bottle of soap only and no bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body lotions which even 3-star hotels have. 2. No a single lobster tail was served all through the 13-day cruise. This is supposed to be a cruising tradition. 3. Donut items were not fresh and was told that they were brought in frozen on shore. 4. All fruits were of the lowest quality. ...

1. No bottled shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in bath room but a bottle of soap...even 2/3-star hotels provide them. 2. Traditional lobster tail was eliminated from the dinner menu. 3. No chocolates on beds. 3. Cheap fruits....oranges were more sour than grapefruits 4. Low cost food ingredients like chicken, pasta, minced meats, cat fish etc were all over the menus. 5. ...

Very Disappointed

We chose this transatlantic cruise to visit Boston, New York and Florida. The cruise was redeployed. We have never done this type of cruise before, unfortunately the entertainment is based on a summer cruise. A lot of the entertainment and activities were based on deck in the open air, which in November was not the ideal place. There was very little variation inside the ship. Evening ...

Not the best cruise

A friend of mine was taking the cruise, suggested I take it also, and several people on previous cruises suggested I give RCCL a try. Dinner service and my room stewart were good, but lunch service was a disaster. The food on the whole was pretty boring. There was very little to do on board, Each time a movie I was interested in was playing it was out by the pool, too cool, to be comfortable ...

A otherwise great cruise sabotaged by incompetence!

I've been cruising (mostly solo) for 7 years now but this was my first time on RCI. Sadly on reaching our first US port after a week at sea, there was an ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS immigration process which resulted in me and many other non-US passengers only being processed around 3 p.m.! Queues snaked for hours. People missed their tours and lost money. Midway they stopped making announcements and ...

If you are considering booking a wedding with Royal Carribean DON'T and please consider the following. Disclaimer: I DO TIE MY EXPERIENCE WITH ROYAL ROMANCE DIRECTLY WITH THE CRUISE AS A WHOLE. First off there is a brochure/downloadable pdf on the Royal Carribean website that paints it all as a well oiled machine. As though it is all worked out and everything will be taken care of. This is ...

How to end your cruising desire

Embarkation was as usual...not good, not bad. We were in a Grand Suite (GS 1298) and found it to be most delightful. It was spacious with a good lay-out...albeit a bit tired looking, but the ship is to be refurbished in January we were told. The Concierge room was a joke. It was totally jammed every evening with mostly the super frequent flyer group of good ol' boys who felt that visiting had to ...

Grumpy Staff - Problems Every Day

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

This review was for the back to back transatlantic cruises November 3 - November 24, 2013. I have traveled several times with Royal Caribbean as well as six other cruise lines but this cruise was the worst for grumpy staff, maintenance issues, poor service, poor quality of food, and staff that had no clue on how to perform their basic duties. However, there were some outstanding individuals that ...

I am a Platinum member of RCCL's Crown and Anchor Society, and this was our second Transatlantic. In the past we were quite satisfied with the hospitality given to passenger on the Royal Caribbean ships we have sailed on. This trip left a lot to be desired. I read the review that another passenger left on our cruise, and I find he was quite accurate. He spent a lot of time on the food, and ...
