My review will focus on the casino aspect of the ship as well as my overall opinion of the trip. The Navigator of the Seas is in the Voyager class, and is similar to the Independence of the Seas in its layout.
EMBARKMENT: Went quickly from the bus ride with only two passengers, myself and one other person from Fort Lauderdale airport to the Port of Miami. The check in process took less than ...
We decided to get some sunshine & heat and to celebrate a birthday, Christmas & New Year all in one trip.
Our room was a JS on deck 9, serviced by Wayan, who did an excellent job. He knew we were early risers, so our room was normally done by the time we got back from breakfast in the Windjammer.
We are experienced Diamond Plus cruisers(500+ points), so feel we can give fairly accurate ...
As a background we have cruised with RCCL 7 times previously, on all of the Freedom class ships plus Oasis, Allure and Anthem. We have also cruised with NCL on Getaway, Breakaway and Epic. We booked this cruise back in summer 2015, based principally on the Southern Caribbean itinerary which we had never done – and incidentally was fantastic! Having kept an eye on the (mostly poor) reviews since ...
AWFUL: PADI service. We understand the policy of not serving kids under 12 years old. What it is unacceptable is that the guy from South Africa in charge does not help in contacting other PADI centers to facilitate diving to families with children under 12. “Go online and search” is a rude answer and definitely not a Royal Caribbean style answer. We lost the opportunity of diving in 3 ...
In general, the ship was well run, clean, and had a great variety of entertainment and activities. She's showing her age, and is definitely due for drydock and overhaul, but other than that I had no complaints about the Navigator itself. The ice skating rink was a nice touch, and the live shows both in Studio B and the Metropolis were excellent.
The bartending staff was probably the best I've ...
We are both Diamond+ members of RC and this was our first time on the Navigator of the Seas.
Generally well maintained medium size ship.
The itinerary and dates were incredible for 2 snorkel lovers : Bonaire and St Kitts offered the best underwater scenarios! Two incredible tours.
The food on the complementary restaurants was a different story: the worst experience ever in RC and that is ...
I would have rated higher, but the condition of ships that I have been on lately (this one, the Navigator, and the Rhapsody in early December) were both in need of some TLC. The crew was great as usual. The food was above average but the menu selection was not as good as usual.
I enjoyed the cruise a lot. The ports were great. The entertainment was not as good as I have experienced on ...
Great time cruise for the price. The perfect quick getaway to me in the holiday spirit. Our dining room staff were excellent and made for a great dining experience. Not that crazy about the ship since I was previously on the Oasis of the Seas where I preferred the cabin over looking the boardwalk. Had been to Nassau so many times I didn't bother to get off the ship. Wish there had been more lower ...
Our beloved RCCL really dropped the ball on this one and has shaken our opinion of the cruise line.
My wife and I are Diamond Crown and Anchor members and this was our 20th cruise on RCCL. We sailed on the Navigator of the Seas last year and had such a wonderful cruise experience we could hardly wait to sail on her again. I suppose this review will sound more like venting but I hope to save ...
The food wasn't too good. We had a smell in our cabin that they couldn't get rid of. We tried to spray & the odor just came back. They cleaned the carpet & cleaned everything in the cabin. We started to leave the balcony door open just to keep the odor down. Pillow was flat as a pancake I had to get an extra pillow since the flat pillow was giving a neck ache. We couldn't use our toilet for a day ...
