Everything about the cruise was outstanding. Food was delicious with a large variety of choices. and Rosebeth and Rey, (Sapphire restaurant) who served us were friendly, polite and very informative about the ports of call. They made a great effort with our children and even prepared foods off the menu to cater for their needs. Entertainment was 1st class and my 2 children aged 14 and 16 had a great time and made many friends, due to the first night teenage meeting group. There was plenty of room on the sundecks, for either shade or sun. The gym had a large variety of equipment, which my husband and son enjoyed using every other day. The cities visited were interesting for all, whether you wanted to see historical sites, beaches or just for shopping. All staff couldn't do enough for you. I'd just like to mention Cuddy's meditation class - absolutely brilliant - both my husband and I have really benefited from this seminar. I can't wait until our next cruise. Read Less

First cruise and was chosen due to me recently diagnosed with MS and hav mobility issues, drove to Southampton to join the cruise which was ideal and so straight forward with parking and access to ship. Had reservations about if our 2 children aged 12 and 7 would enjoy? No need to have worried, they both loved it and more than enough for them to do. Food in the main dining room was excellent with plenty of choice and accommodating to a fussy 7 yr old eating requests! Entertainment was spot on, more casual dining was also good which we used for breakfast and snacks. We were also pleased that on formal evenings, being smart was sufficient, men were not required to wear suits or even a jacket if they did not wish to, this suited us as we did not want to get too dressed up, we like to relax on holiday. We travelled on our very first cruise (Navigator) with RCI in 2016 and booked this cruise onboard last year. Being our second cruise (Navigator) we had things to compare it with and firstly we found that the food in the main dining room was not as good as last year, however the windjammer was excellent. The staff were tremendous, they were always happy and very helpful and we cannot fault them in any way. With the issues we had with the cleanliness of our room I must say that RCI dealt with it professionally and very quickly. Last year we had an interior room but this year we opted for a balcony, we can honestly say it's the balcony every time from now on, fresh air and beautiful views. We have booked with RCI for next year on the Independence (after the refit) and cannot wait to sail again. Thank you RCI for another wonderful holiday and see you next year. Read Less

Sooo much to do for adults, children, never a moment to feel bored. Even with the amount of people you could fine a space just for yourself if you need it. Ice skating show was breathtaking, amazing!!! Entertaining overall was good, shows for the public to take part were hilarious, such a laugh, contagious!!!! . Loved the fact that if you missed a show they were live recorded and broadcast on tv in the rctv the next day. Emergency drills took part a few times, was good to see them in action. Drink packages were too expensive at first when booking, so I didn't bought one, then when there I regretted it, buying as you go IS expensive, so next time for sure will buy one. This cruise was amazing on Navigator of the seas a fantastic ship. My initial thought on cruising was its for the more mature aged traveler how wrong was i. Cruising caters for all ages we went as a family of four including an 18 yr old and 8yr old. You can do as much or as little as you like. The facilities were fantastic, excursions, shows, entertainment, pools, restaurants, bars, shopping, golf, etc etc it has it all a very clean ship. All staff on board were outstanding Our room attendant was so helpful and polite. Also a big thank you to our main dining room waiters who gave excellent service and great recommendations regarding food and drink. The fine dining options offers food of an outstanding quality. Main dining room and buffet options are very good at giving you plenty of food options. The ship in my opinion catered for everyone excellently keep doing what you do its the best holiday i have been on to date and i will someday return. Read Less

We decided to book this cruise as it ticked all of our boxes for a family and for our first cruise! The ship caters very well for all age groups of children The Teen Club was a good meeting point for our eldest aged 17 sadly our 11 year old felt the age 9-11 group was a little too young for her in the activities. We did all of our homework before the trip and decided to discover the Port or nearby City Town by ourselves by all accounts this was the best idea - we managed to see an do everything on our wish list and without any hitch ! We watched most of the entertainment either in the Theatre or on the Ice Rink and Yes we fully enjoyed !! Food was delicious in the Saffire Dining Hall and the waiting staff most attentive - We were a little disappointed with the eating time in the Windjammer if you were not in there for around 8ish the choice dwindled away for a swift close down at 9 ? Initially picked this cruise due to ports of call. The ship, cabin, dining and service provided was fabulous. Make sure you spend the first/second day on the ship exploring and getting to know the ship and where everything is. There are so many places to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner that offer different experiences. We loved the a la carte breakfast on deck 5 which is included in your holiday. We didn't realise this until day 3. The choice of food and quality was amazing. I am gluten free and on day 2 in the Windjammer there was a whole section of hot and cold food to cater for me, including some lovely chocolate cake and freshly baked bread. The vegetarian burger with the gf bun was amazing. I didn't realise that you could go to guest services each day and get the menu and order something gf so you knew there would be something you would like, which is a great idea. The ports were great, although I would have loved longer in Gibralter, which we thought was a very interesting and amazing port. We did our own thing while exploring each port. We had cabin 3017, which was noisy after midnight until about 2am most nights. I am a light sleeper and my husband is not. Although some nights he found it annoying - lots of heavy footed walking around, scraping of chairs and general working noise. We did phone guest services three times and they sorted it within 5 minutes but felt we did not want to keep complaining as it was working noise from the speciality eating restaurant. Avoid this cabin if noise bothers you. Overall we had the best time ever, can't fault the staff, service, food or anything and when Norovirus struck, they had it contained quickly and stopped it spreading. Only 1% of travellers affected. Left home near Coventry at 10:10, on the boat around 14:30, excellent service from Eavesway Travel, slight delay in Southampton getting checked in but then in the cabin by 15:00, first case was outside the door as we left the port the other three arrived over the next hour or so. The ships crew were so friendly wherever you went on the boat and whatever the role they were performing, from the maintenance team, the dining room staff to the cruise directors team and our stateroom attendant. The cabin was kept really clean and despite there being three of us in the one room the storage space was superb. Our balcony was fine at sea but a little scary when in port as we were on deck 9. The food was superb from start to finish and we really enjoyed it, perhaps too much at times. The restaurant staff were fantastic, always looking to help you, collect things for you and provide drinks when needed, empty plates were collected as you put your knife and fork down. Entertainment was really good, always something going on somewhere if you wanted it or quite areas to relax in if that's what you wanted. We were really lucky in that the weather was a scorching 27C as we left Southampton and stayed that way until we entered the English Channel on the way home when it rained most of the way back to Southampton. Some locations were at times just too hot. The stop overs were superb, the captain always gave a full review of each stop before we got there and clear information on arrival and departure times. This was only our second cruise and first one with RCI but we are already talking about the next one and unless something drastic happens it will be with RCI again. Thank you one and all for a wonderful two weeks... Read Less

We have travelled with Royal Caribbean before and yet again Royal Caribbean were brilliant. Food, Entertainment, Cleanliness, Friendliness of the Crew and Efficiency were second to none. We ate at Johnny Rockets and thought that the prices were good as was the food and entertainment. The only thing I would say is that there wasn't enough areas for sitting when the weather wasn't good and most people were inside. This was particularly noticeable when a show finished and people went to the Café Promenade. We didn't go on any excursions as we find them expensive but all the ports we went to were really good and easy to navigate. A final point we would like to make is that the photographs are ludicrously expensive as the cost to produce them is minimal. Come on Royal Caribbean you would sell far more if you reduced the prices of Excursions, Photographs etc. Read Less

The dining staff, Douglas and Diogo in the Sapphire Dining Room were always smiling and very hospitable and the food was tip-top. Our room attendant Wayan was so dedicated to keep our room clean. We were not bored at all as there was something constantly going on throughout the day. The theatre shows were entertaining especially Gareth Oliver and his wife, ventriloquists with a difference! Very funny and so quick witted. Hilary O'Neil and the Beatles Celebration were excellent entertainment also. Embarking and disembarking was so slick and hassle-free. The Activeties on board were excellent surfing, climbing wall were great and the staff running them were great very helpful with my 11 year old girl she wished she had more time to experiace them. The entertainment and activities were top class and plentiful. Service throughout the cruise was excellent and unfaltering. The RC excursions were good and they were so helpful to my mum who had to use a wheelchair for the excursions. My only criticism would be that the website doesn't provide as much detail as you need, especially when you have questions over suitability for wheelchair users. The Barcelona excursion with Jamon tasting was good apart from the the lack of seeing Gaudi's Sagarda Famila unfinished church?? A vital missing visit. I like the Voyager class of ships, so I enjoyed the Navigator. But cuts backs are obvious in food, entertainment and activities. Enjoyed the days at sea just wish there had been more to do. I really miss the professional crafters. The crafts provided by Royal Caribbean are the same old things that they have been doing for years. I don't think that the kits are worth the price. The quality of service on the Navigator was excellent. The crew was very friendly. Enjoyed the Diamond lounge and happy hours. The bar tenders were very attentive and hard working. The dining room staff were very good and even supplied the table with Indian food to share upon request. Had a problem with the excursion desk but all was resolved by the Assistant Manager. I enjoyed all of the ports except Ponta Delgada. There is not much to do there once you have done all the excursions that you are interested in. I have been there too many times. Other ports in the area are more interesting and wish this one would be dropped by Royal Caribbean. I did walk through town and visited the market. I used the time in port to do my gift shopping. As a solo traveler I appreciated the fact that we met for lunch on all the sea days. In the past we did not meet on all the sea days. I wish our crew member who escorted us had stayed for lunch. In the past when they stayed lunch was more interesting because we got an insight into the crew's life on the ship. I am loyal to Royal Caribbean and will continue to sail with them. Less Read Less

Navigator of the Seas 14 Apr 2017 The staff consistently give the guest the feeling that they are pleased to be there for service. We spent 3 nights in Miami before the cruise. Great food. Waves too high for us to enjoy the beach in April. But there were many people at the beach just the same. We drove the the port of Miami. Easy enough to find with GPS. Parking was just a little difficult - because the parking garage is not marked at all. Even the exit for driving when leaving is not clearly marked. 9 nights Miami to Labadee Haiti, to Curacao, to Aruba, to Bonaire and back to Miami. Excellent customer service on the whole cruise. Ports are interesting. We did Island tours on each Island. Unfortunately snorkeling on Bonaire was cancelled by the shore vendor. Friends who snorkeled on their own loved it. Beautiful fish. Embarkation was a snap. Customs in debarkation took 1 hour in line. The US customs agents had unexplained delays. We travel Royal Caribbean as often as possible. The ports of call are nice and the ship is the perfect size for this trip. It's not the larger ships such as the Oasis class but nice overall. When arriving at Bonaire DO NOT get the excursions from the ship as they are over priced. If you like to snorkel then take the water taxi to Klien Bonaire. This is a protected beach with coral reefs directly off the beach about 16 feet. easy swim out and back. Take a swimming pool noodle with you for a relaxing time. If you do not have your own snorkel gear you can rent it right there on the water taxi. It's ten bucks US for the set. The biggest complaint my family and I had was the dining room service was slow. We arrived at 5:30 sharp as instructed by our waiter and were always the last to be served and lots of times the last to leave the dining room. there was 8 of us at the table so its not like they had to feed 10 or 12. If you end up at table 296 then plan two and a half hours for diner that's 5:30pm to 7:45-8:00pm. The music was horrible on the ship. the band Vybes 4 I think was there name and sang to close to the microphone so it sounded like an episode of charley brown (mua mua mua). There is no background music in the dining room so all you rear is the sounds of people talking and smacking on their food. And this message I hopes reaches Royal Caribbean's ears Get some sort of music for the pool areas between the mumbling sounds of Vybe 4. Oh and some good music not picked from demo tapes of no name singers either they are not played on commercial radio for a reason nor should you insult your "guests" by making our ears bleed listening to it. Don't forget that 9x27.00 equals $243.00 on you credit card for service charges " gratuities". If you read this far then please do not think that I am not loyal to Royal I have lots of Stock in this company and don't want to loose all my money because people stop traveling with Royal I just want Royal tp do better and listen to there Guests. We chose this particular cruise based on the itinerary and dates available for our daughter's spring break. We fly in from Seattle and could not do a full week cruise, so we needed the shorter option to be able to arrive in time to board and depart. The lowest point of the cruise was probably at arrival, getting onboard. We stood in line for over 3 hours as we waited to check in. This was my fourth cruise and the first for my husband and daughter and I've never experienced such a horrible check in process. Once we were onboard though, everything was smooth sailing. The activities on the boat were a lot of fun. We had our 17 year old daughter and there were many things that kept her interested both throughout the day and in the evenings, things that kept her engaged with others her age, and not awkwardly trying to fit in. The staff in the main dining room was soooo friendly and helpful. We did not try any of the other restaurants (aside from Windjammer) simply because we truly enjoyed our waitstaff in our assigned dining slot. We went to the Illusionist and had a blast, he was very entertaining, we also went to the Marriage Game Show and enjoyed that as well. The production number was a little long, maybe not my speed so much, but great dancing. We loved the comedian and really really enjoyed the 70s disco party on the Promenade. We spent many nights at the Schooner bar listening to the pianist as well and really enjoyed him, however he did tend to go a little long committing to one singer or another and not mixing it up and involving the crowd as much as I would have liked. I was really impressed with the fitness center. I think all but one machine were working which I consider a huge bonus! I am used to having some out of order! The waitstaff on the pool deck was always available and helpful. We paid for the internet and had really spotty connection. I wasn't disappointed or surprised given we are at sea, but at some point, this should be improved. Another disappointing factor was that paying for the soda package for our daughter, $8/day did not include bottled water for her. This seems like a huge miss. It also seems like bottled water should be included in the state room since we paid for the beverage package. It would be nice to see a late night dining option other than pizza and cold sandwiches. That got old really fast. Jonny Rockets was a good deal at $7 each for all you can eat, however we didn't get to take advantage of this because when we did go it was so busy that we sat for 10 minutes and never got service. I'm not sure what the room attendant's role is aside from making the bed and changing out towels but I didn't really feel like much was picked up compared to what I experience at a typical hotel room service. Usually my vanity area is straightened a bit and I didn't get that. I don't know if that's to be expected or not. Read Less

A family member researched and planned the cruise for a family getaway. We arrived at the ship and were able to board. The process was very smooth and organized. . We were informed that lunch was being served in the Windjammer. The variety of food was excellent and it was prepared very well. We reviewed the Compass everyday to plan our activities and there was always several activities that we would attend. Service was excellent, however one family member was not receiving some of the perks that the others were receiving, towel animals. One call and the problem was corrected. We did several shore excursions. All of the excursions were enjoyed and very informative. One family member did book another cruise while onboard. We did notice that some items/furniture on the ship should be cleaned/dusted. The baseboard or ledge above the baseboard in the rooms, customer service desk and other areas of the ship were dusty. Also items that were hanging from the ceiling of the promenade were very dusty. This is a problem for individuals with allergies. Overall the cruise was very enjoyable. Thank you! Read Less

Can't wait to get back on one of these ships!! LOVED IT!!! I'll be Back!! :) Read Less
