Very nice cruise experience

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Based on this fun cruise experience that was our "short test drive" of RCCL, we will keep with our plan to sail with RCCL again summer of 2024 for a long cruise with no hesitation. I was getting worried reading reviews going into this cruise (our first with RCCL, but we have done 10+ with other cruise lines), but I've come to the conclusion that some reviewers either fail to do research and ...

Lots of Pre-Christmas Fun

We selected this cruise to take my MIL for an outing and as she has mobility issues, we needed a nearby port (LA is ~5 hours) that we could drive to. We compared pricing, cabin locations, and timing across Princess, Carnival and RC and the Navigator won out. Also, it has been about ten years since we have cruised on RC and we have a 15-day transatlantic coming up in April so this was a good ...

4 day quick getaway

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Although it has been a while since we did a short cruise, we decided to do the 4 day Ensenada/Catalina Island run for a quick getaway. Unlike the 3 day weekend cruises, which are usually about the same price as the 4 day weekday cruise, the ship was not full of drunks and wild parties. The ship was in amazing shape and the crew was very friendly. Even with 3,685 passengers, out of a capacity of ...

The Good, the Bad and comparisons to NCL

6th cruise and 1st on Royal Carribean. This was a 4 night quickie to Ensenada and the previous 5 were week long cruises with 4 on Norwegian and 1 on MSC. The trip was good, Ensenada better than expected, and our 1st Royal cruise had some things better than any we had cruised and some not so good. Head to head? Royal vs NCL on our previous ships (MSC was not good, so leaving them ...

We had family members visiting us who had never cruised before so we decided to book 3 cabins and take them on their first cruise. We drove from Vail, AZ (The Town Between the Tracks) to the port. We had a 1:00-1:30pm check-in time. We arrived early and we on-board, sitting in the Windjammer, by noon. Very smooth & fast embarkation process. We booked Inside cabin. They were fine for a ...

Enjoyable Cruise on RCCL Navigator of the Seas, May 2023

My S.O. and I have cruised with RCCL multiple times. One of the reasons we have repeatedly cruised on this line is that RCCL rewards loyalty with various perks: abbreviated embarcation waiting, champagne receptions, free drink vouchers (diamond level and above), etc. This cruise embarked from Los Angeles Port and the embarcation process was a little unorganized outside the terminal with long ...

CABIN: We booked a balcony cabin. The cabin was nice and spacious. The furnishings were a bit outdated, and some drawers were very squeaky, but overall, the cabin was very good. DINING: The Windjammer was large and had a lot of foods from different cuisines. All the food was very good. The Main Dining Room was a little lacking, as service was very slow and portion sizes were mediocre. We also ...

New Years Celebration on the sea

A friend wanted to go for New Years Eve and we had an awesome time. Our cruise director Tiago was amazing. The weather was cool on the whole trip except in Puerto Vallarta. Did not spend too much time on deck due to this issue. The Windjammer had a worker who always greeted us with his dance moves, high energy. Our dining waiter and his assistant were so personable. This ship left from ...

The Navigator is a Beautiful ship. Easy parking at the port. $20 a day. We had a balcony cabin on deck 12. Cabin 1888. Entertainment on board was Vegas quality. We loved all of the shows. Dining- Main dining was a 6/10. Service great. Food soso. But I am a spoiled by cruising higher end cruise lines. Windjammer buffet was okay. Nothing special. On deck Mexican food was ...

Embarkation-I agree with another review. They have you download vax card and negative test then you are required to pull it out of your suitcase 2 or 3 more times after being stowed away-annoying. Area was quite hot with little air flow and lack of direction as to what is expected next. Security personnel were rude as well but alas we made it through. Food-Quite good. I am a picky eater and ...
