My family and I were looking for a quick getaway before school started back up again. We mainly chose this cruise because we wanted to see the newly renovated CocoCay and it did not disappoint. The ship was spotless, had plenty of staff, tons of places to sit and hang out. Our inside stateroom had a virtual balcony that we loved. We were expecting a small picture of an ocean view, not the full size live video feed. It was awesome!! If you are bored on this ship you are not looking hard enough because there are so many hints to do and see. Our dining room experience was awesome, we loved our waiters Rodrigo and Tomas and the food did not disappoint. I think I went to El Loco Fresh on the pool deck probably around 10 times throughout the 4 day cruise. The food was amazing and depending on how hungry you were you could get a snack or a meal. They advertised the Perfect Day at CocoCay a LOT but it lived up to the hype. The thrill park was tons of fun and the pool was refreshing. There were waiters everywhere and bathrooms and food were plentiful. I have been an avid NCL cruiser in the past but this Royal Caribbean cruise was a welcome change and I am looking forward to many more of them in the future. I can’t recommend this ship enough! First passengers to visit a remodeled Cococay with new water park, pool with bar etc, The whole facilities were excellent, beach did not feel crowded at all (may change on the bigger ships like the Allure), pool was very animated with DJ, had the feel of being in a 5 star hotel pool, The water park gave nice fit to whole family travel idea with rides for every age, this island will surely be a reason to travel in Royal Caribbean for many families in months to come. Of course the water park has a cost of $44 per day, Zipline is $79, There is a Hellium Ballone (costs $24) Jetski tour ($104), etc. Navigator has free water slide on ship, one doulble rider and a single rider (heads down), pretty nice and its free. Shows were ok but not on the level of the Symphony or Harmony, Will recommend it is certainly a nice weekend getaway alternative for those who live in Florida. Read Less

I loved this cruise. I would first like to say how great the staff were. Our waiters in the dining room were a joy to talk to and the stateroom staff were also very nice and made you feel welcome. There was never a time where we didn’t have something to do on the ship. I enjoyed lounging on the poolside and in the hot tubs for times where we wanted to relax. As for the entertainment, there’s so much to say. The comedy shows were amazing, the game shows are a blast to watch, and live music and karaoke was fun. We also enjoyed mini golfing, ice skating + an ice skating show, the arcade, family bingo, and ping pong. As for the food, everything we ate was complimentary and it wasn’t bad. Most of the things were delicious, and only a few things could’ve been better. I loved going to the Windjammer every morning for breakfast, grabbing a bite from the Cafe Promenade, and dining at the Saphire Dining Room fo dinner. The gym had lots to do. I had tons of fun on this ship, even if it’s an older ship. I wouldn’t have been able to tell it was built in 2002 if I didn’t find out. New Year’s eve was also a great time, despite our balloons being stuck, but that was all joy and laughter. The days at sea were mainly lounging but if we had “nothing” to do, we could always go exploring around on the ship or the Star Lounge was a great spot for entertainment. For the ports, Nassau and Labadee were great experiences, and we were always on time. This was a great experience for my first time cruising. I think it’s great for all ages. The only negatives would be some rocking on the ship but I got used to it. Thank you Royal Caribbean!! I will miss this ship a lot. Read Less

Great ship, excellent food, very friendly stuff, great service, interesting activities. I felt very comfortable on the ship and they offer a wide range of great activities such as different dance classes, karaoke, lectures etc. Food is excellent: The Windjammer is a buffet restaurant where one can eat as much as they wish. For breakfast one can also eat in the more elegant Saphire restaurant. Each guest also gets a dinner time to choose for the Saphire restaurant with very kind waiters. My favourite port of call was Gibraltar, which offers amazing views and the monkeys are also a great attraction. However, make sure you buy tickets in advance for going up the rock or walk up there if you are sporty, because otherwise you will have to wait too long in the queue. I would have liked to spend more time there. Lisbon was the second most interesting port of call for me and is an interesting city. Read Less

We chose this cruise mainly because the ports of call are places which we have not been to yet. Port of embarkation was also a plus since we were able to go around London a few days before the actual cruise. This was my third time to cruise using Royal Carribean and from the first time I cruised with RCL, I was very impressed. Their food selection in the Windjammer is very wide especially if one prefers to have a casual dining. The Sapphire dining is a great alternative for breakfast if I prefer a more formal ambience. I love the salad bar served during lunch at the Sapphire dining during sea days and for dinner, service of waiters are excellent. And after dinner, we always look forward to the shows at the Metropolis theater which has been prepared very well. The cruise director and staff have always prepared activities fit for all. As for the cabin we stayed in, it was spacious and was always kept clean by our stateroom attendant. All our requests have been granted. I feel that whenever I am onboard Royal Carribean, I feel pampered by all the friendly staff of the ship. The shore excursion options are all good. And the way the excursions were handled were very orderly. I am now planning my next cruise with Royal Carribean that will fit my budget and the dream places I would like to see. Read Less

My husband and I were travelling with a group of 60 passengers and this was our 1st ocean cruise. I was nervous about being on the open seas, but once on board Navigator of the Seas, all fears were gone. It was a smooth sailing vessel even when the N. Sea became a little choppy. Thoroughly enjoyed the live shows in the theater, the entertainment (trivia, sing-a-longs, etc. ) in the Schooner lounge, friendly chats at Boleros, dancing and socializing in the Cosmopolitan and the English pub. My favorite though was the Promenade Cafe, where we were able to indulge in English scones and other pastries with a nice cup of tea at any time we wanted too. I decided to have a spa hour and enjoyed a soothing massage in clean comfortable surroundings. Also enjoyed the gym, but preferred to take in the fresh sea air by going for walks on the decks. As for the meals, our scrumptious dinners were in the Sapphire Room and we had our breakfast and lunches in the Windjammer, which were delicious and fresh. I did not get to eat at any of the other restaurants, but heard that the meals were great. Also had fun and enjoyed the on board shopping. Had the opportunity to have a chat with the Captain which was a highlight. The crew from different parts of the world were courteous, very friendly and helpful. It was a super experience to be on board the Navigator of the Seas. Read Less

This is the first time for me to travel by cruise, it is an excellent experience. The ship and stateroom are very clean and nice. The stateroom attendant was very efficient and did a good work. The staff on the cruise are very friendly and helpful. Especially the wait persons were very attentive and friendly. We had couples days in the ships cruising and there were lots of things to do during those days, and you would not feel bored in the ship. The environment in the ship was very nice and comfortable. The maintanance of the ships was excellent. Food was very nice and lots of different cuisine and variety to choose for. The menus was slightly different everyday so that you could have different food everyday. And there were some other special restaurants which is worth to try. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to go with this trip with Navigator of the seas. Read Less

The Navigator of the Seas this cruise was exceptional! From the moment you arrive at the Southampton Cruise Terminal the customer service made getting our luggage and ourselves so quickly and easily. All rooms were ready at 1:00 PM. CABINS- The cabin was clean, stocked and the attendant catered to every need. The beds were super surprisingly comfortable for both my husband and I . The cabin was well insulated and we slept soundly every night. We had absolutely not one issue with our cabin. We wished we would have upgraded to a balcony to get the cool north sea breeze into our room but we didn't think about it . FOOD-The food was exceptional as well. EVERYWHERE. From the windjammer we decided to eat there most evenings. The chef Joseph on this ship prepared fresh fish and chips for our table with different fish every night. This was not the norm. He saw how we enjoyed them on day one and they were not on the menu any other night so he brought a platter each night. Another aspect of the food was they really took great care and made the food comparable to the ports. Like we were in Germany and they had sausages...The mornings they made sure the English and different Europeans had their traditional foods available as well . (We are Americans). The Cafe Promenade Coffee was one of our favorites. They had ILLY coffee which we loved! We highly encourage you to purchase the beverage package. We added it up and even though my husband doesn't drink alcohol by end of day two it paid for itself. The bottles of water , spring, or sparkling was available all day and on the excursions as well. The wines they poured were premium wines. We didn't see one cheap bottle the whole cruise. We did eat in two specialty restaurants. Chops Grille..yes go! and Giovanni ended up being our favorite! We had steak there as well and they brought all the superb Italian entrees as side dishes for us to try. On Board Activities - highly recommend the Sushi Making Class! Flow Rider was a big hit for my husband! He surfed in the North Sea.. SHOWS and Entertainment-They also took great care in the movies they selected. They were for the region we were cruising to and from, We would wrap up on blankets on the pool deck (get your blankets early this was surprisingly popular) and wrap up and watch the movies. The north sea wind didn't stop anyone! It was very fun. Nice Quiet areas- our favorites areas for solitude was the solarium. We love children but this is a nice quiet area for adults. The steam and Sauna we used daily. I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful the ports and cities we visited. I highly recommend the excursion Lubeck in Germany. We enjoyed the service on this ship. It was comforting at night to watch the TV with the cruise director and activities director informing us about the next day , very helpful Read Less

This was a chartered cruise by Cruiseco and billed as an 80s theme with over 38 acts performing during the cruise. It was very well organised with added benefit of the Royal Caribbean standard. Booked 3 weeks before departure & benefitted from a half price cost which proved to be great value for money - took out a drinks package which was reasonable price and well worth it. Entertainment was well organised ensuring all got to see headline acts. we were surprisingly allocated a promenade view cabin on deck 8 which exceeded our expectations. Although our preference of anytime dining was not available the restaraunt went out their way to accommodate our needs - the food was the usual high standard as expected and the service could not be faulted. Feel full price was overpriced and hopefully if this is to be an annual event consideration will be to pricing and possibly pitch it in between full & half price - definitely would recommend and look forward to it happening again. I have tried a couple other cruises, but NO ONE comes close to the people that work for Royal Caribbean.. The ships are very well maintained, The foods is over the top, and the choices are never ending, I enjoy just being on the ship because of all the actives that are offered, if you like shows there is something for everyone, comedy game shows and more. The shore excursions are great and not a bad price, if you are on a budget there are still things to see and do on and off the ship, if you have children there is a game room for them when you are at sea and the crew will interact with the children as well, We have cruised with family and friends aging from teens to 75 year olds and everyone had something to do at all times. If you are traveling alone it is a great place to meet new people and make new friends, since we really started cruising 10 years ago we have met the GREATEST people and have made some life long friends that we still travel with and keep in contact with.. Happy Cruising and I hope we run into you on our next cruise.. Read Less

7th time on Navigator of the Seas Lots to do and the Navigator of the Seas Band is a Fantastic Professional Band Plays a large selection of music and styles. This year was better as it brought an interaction of the band to the audience. Also the Music Entertainment through out the ship is all great. The J Wind band was great and sounds great with a large selection of old time favorites. The music in the Poets Bar the music was great and it added a fantastic touch when the Music Director from the Navigator Band added her saxophone to the guitar and singing. Are cabin was looked after with great care. The ship has always been clean and neat. Food was also great both in the Wind Jammier and Dinning Room We went on our own excursion which worked out great, I did not give a rating on Shore Excursion as we did our own. If you go to Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico you must visit the Cazy Lobster. We had a nice lazy day on the beach and cheap drinks and good food. No one harassing you like we found walking along that area. This was our first cruise and it was great! The ship was very nice even though it was older. There was plenty of things to do to keep you occupied and relaxed. The food was amazing and our cabin, which was a balcony cabin, had plenty of room. Our room attendant was truly amazing and our waiters at our dinner service were so awesome that we requested to be seated in their section every night. We swam with the dolphins at Cozumel, and if you have never done this or are thinking about it, I would highly recommend it. The experience is unbelievable. As we are members with World Wide Travel Experts we booked our cruise and flights through them. With our membership we were able to find and save about $80/ticket on 4 airline tickets and as we did save a little on our cruise. Our larger savings will be on our next vacation with utilizing the points we earned on this one. Read Less

It's my first time boarding Navigator of the Seas with my parents and siblings. I would say our overall experience was incredible. I am usually not a fan of spending my vacation on the sea but this one had been an awesome experience. I will rate my experience in detail: Ship: 4.5/5 The ship is so big and there were so many places in the ship where you can find yourself entertained or relax and have a quiet time. It's well equipped and all decks were maintained clean. As far as the decorations, I am beyond impressed (you will really feel you are in a cruise ship, which was great). Cabin: 5/5 I don't really mind having a studio sized stateroom as long as it is well maintained and clean. I mean sheets, linens, and bath towels were changed in a timely manner. Our stateroom attendant Basille (or Basil) - our stateroom was Deck 8, room 8653 - was excellent and very attentive. He was very thorough with his job and made sure that everything was perfect. As for our bathroom, there were so many spaces where I can put my toiletries and personal items. Closet was big enough to keep our clothing (there were 3 of us in the room) tidy. Lighting were excellent, just what I needed in a room. Room temperature was perfect. TV was okay (I have watched shows that I liked, but most of the time I am not really in my room so that's okay) Dining: 4.5/5 VERY EXCELLENT!!! > Windjammer: OMG, lots of food choices although I felt that breakfast was kind of repeated every day. Food was still delicious and hot (for hot foods). I just hope there were more options for fruit juices. Rate: 4/5 > Café Promenade: Best place for snacking 24 hours (well the only place that is open for 24 hours). Their pizza were delicious and freshly made. Service was very fast and they usually let you know how long it will take for the food to be ready. Again, I just wished there were more options for fruit juices. Rate: 4.5/5 > Sapphire Dining: THE BEST PLACE/SERVICE WE'VE EVER GOT. Our waiter Jackson and waiter's assistant Luciana were the best. They provided us excellent food service and great enthusiasm. They have great personality, were very cheerful, and were pretty much COOL! The manager along with Jackson and Luciana welcomed us with a huge smile on their faces. They also made sure that our experience was excellent with great satisfaction. Food was definitely delicious. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR TIME HERE! Also, we got extra food since the manager prepared specialty food plus extra desserts on our second night at this dining room. THANK YOU SOO MUCH! You are 5/5 or 10/10 :) Entertainment/Activities: 5/5 There were so many activities to choose from (i.e. games, shows, fitness exercises, sports tournament, rock climbing, etc). Some of the things I wanted to do were scheduled at the same time so I had to choose which ones I would enjoy the most. However, those activities you were not able to do on the other day, they were offered in different days as well so you have the option to do them. Live music, dancing, parades, movies, shows were excellent (can't complain about it). Overall great experience. Service: I have mentioned earlier that we received excellent service so that's a 5/5 Ports and Shore excursions: I LOVE THEM ALL! Rating 5/5 in Costa Maya (Chacchoben and beach tour) with Israel (sales - excellent and he accommodated us well, customer service was excellent, and very friendly), Joel (our tour guide - very informative and I learned so much from him; he's great), and Guillermo (tour driver - very good, made sure our trip was smooth and on timely manner). Rating 4/5 in Cozumel for Snorkelling (I think I'm not a fun of snorkelling for long periods of time especially the waves were strong, but experience was still good). I would recommend Navigator of the Seas for family, friends, or couples cruise experience. It's worth it! Read Less

It is nice to be on a cruise with beautiful facilities and accommodation, but it's the best experience and heartwarming when you have people on board who treat you like family. We treasure the experiences we had with Royal Caribbean International cruises (so far with Empress of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas). Our family did not just enjoy our wonderful experience with the our latest cruise with the Navigator of the Seas, but also the very good relationship that we have found with crew members to mention Jackson, Luciana, Mary Joy and the other male supervisor (sorry to forget his name but he is a very great person), all of them of the Sapphire Dining Lounge, are so awesome! Everyone were so professional, respectful and friendly. Our room attendants were all so great (we stayed at rooms 8653, 6259 and 6261), Jane and Chris of the Windjammer were so great too. Also Emely, who facilitated activities at Bolero and Schooner was so kind and fun. The entertainments at the theater were so fantastic. We also met Eileen at the Promenade cafe who is so kind. Dave Sibongo, the ship pianist, made us sing with by heart.Washy Washy, we love him. Of course, Cuddy, the ship director! He's so caring. Overall, it was so great! BACKGROUND I am writing this on the day we returned from the cruise, so everything is still pretty fresh on my mind. Our second cruise with Royal Caribbean was again outstanding. Our first was just my wife an I on a honey moon. We loved it and wished to go back with the family. This time, about 7 years later, was with my 2 small children, my parents, my brother, his wife and 3 children. Amazing experience overall. Loved it. Wish I had brought walkie-talkies to communicate. BOARDING We came from Fort Lauderdale on I-95, so we followed Google until we took exit 2D to I-395. This was key as Google told us to go through another way. We simply followed the signs for Port Miami through the Tunnel and got there easily. Once we arrived at the terminal, our bags were immediately taken by the terminal staff. Next we made our way through customs and checked into the ship. Even though my dad forgot his SeaPass print out, we were in the ship within 25 minutes of arriving. Which was very speedy in my opinion. CABIN The cabin was small, but they made great use of the space. I got the most inexpensive interior cabin, so I expected it to be small, however, we slept on the king size bed and my kids were each on their own bunk above the main bed. They loved it and so did we. FOOD Great food, both at the Windjammer and at the Main Dining Room. There was absolutely no need for the specialty restaurants, in my opinion. Vegetarian options for my wife, very actually very delicious as well. ENTERTAINMENT - SPORTS ACTIVITIES Very, very fun. Participated in 2 soccer tournaments and a ping pong tournament with my dad. Lots of fun and medals were awarded. It was competitive, but not rough or professional. Also played basketball with him and a fellow cruise goer on the first night. Rock climbing was fun for my wife and I, and FlowRider was very fun as well. ENTERTAINMENT - CHILDRENS' ACTIVITIES Not great on this ship for us. The arcade was high priced and over in the blink of an eye. Also, we don't really like leaving our kids with anyone, especially someone we do not know. I do wish there were more family oriented activities for families with small children. I know the Liberty of the Seas has H2O Zones, but this one does not, which was a bummer. ENTERTAINMENT - SHOWS Didn't really go to too many shows. Ice skating show on the first night, and a "Minute to Win it" like show. Both were good. Went to to other 'talks' or giveaways, which turn out to be sales pitches. Waste of time. STAFF Outstanding in every way. Friendly, courteous, and genuinely want to make you happier while on the cruise. Some fellow cruise-goers were rude, especially with the staff, the kind of people that have never had a service job. Unfortunately, these people also have to be served. Yet the staff still does their best to give you a memorable experience. SPA The SPA hot stone massage was phenomenal. My dad had knots on his back and had pain and difficulty moving his neck. During the massage was quite painful, but after, he felt like a new man. He enjoyed the cruise with a new way. It was a bit pricey, at $208 + service fee for 75 minutes, but it was worth every penny seeing my dad enjoy the rest of the cruise. EXCURSIONS Cozumel was a let down from last time, partially because of the weather. It was cloudy and very windy. So much so that many excursions were cancelled because of the wind. This time we didn't go on the Cruise excursion, but decided to have a tour guide take us to different places. For 11 people, it was definitely less expensive, but also was not that great. The taxis were cutthroat. It went from $200 for a taxi for 4 hours, to $120 and they tell you to keep it quiet so you think you're getting a good deal. It's best to go directly to the taxi instead of the guys standing trying to sell you the service as they simply refer you to the taxi and get a commission. The places there weren't great. We saw the ruins, which was an OK experience. The tequila place was also just OK. Everybody is trying to sell you something and you can always cut the price by at least half. Less of an experience, and more of a everyone trying to make a buck. I guess it is what it is. Costa Maya was much different. The prices were great, the experience was great. We simply went to the public beach by the ferry ride ($3/person) and then just reserved a bed literally on the shore. We ordered (virgin) drinks and just relaxed in the sun, went in the beach, and my mom got a massage. The massage was very sub-par, but what do you expect for a $20/hour massage? It was very nice, and we were back on the ship for lunch. DISEMBARKATION Had a small issue with having towels left from the day before which we were charged $25/towel for. There looked to be a problem in the system, but at the end the towels were returned and the charges taken off. The bags were taken the night before at 11 PM and we left the room shortly before 8 AM. We had breakfast, had a small family worship in the chapel, and off we went to our area to leave the ship. From the time we were called to the terminal were about 20 minutes or less. So baggage claim, customs, and walking were less than 20 minutes. Super impressive. Very organized. OVERALL Overall, we loved the experience, and were already planning our next cruise. It will most likely be on the Freedom or Oasis as they offer more children-oriented things. Read Less

We choose this cruise to visit the ABC islands in the Southern Caribbean. Also we selected the 9 day sailing. Our home is in Charlotte NC so for previous cruises, we drove to south Florida for a 7 day cruise, I have to take of 6 work days. This time we flew for a 9 day cruise and still only needed 9 days of from work. We were able to fly direct non stop on the same day the cruise departed and returned. We arrived at the Port of Miami about 2:10PM and had zero time waiting. We were next up at security, next up at RCI check in and walked right on board. This was a fantastic beginning. Previous embarkation experiences were very good, but it could not have been any better this time. I did have difficulty using UBER for the first time and failed from Miami airport to Port of Miami. Probably I was the reason for the failure. Anyway we selected LYFT and it worked flawlessly. We had a mid afternoon flight out of Miami Int'l airport. We choose to disembark later to let the crowd clear out some. We did not self carry our luggage off. It was nice to get on the elevators and not have to be bothered with dragging the luggage along. We did have one problem at the luggage terminal. RCI process was for us to go to the second carousel to get our luggage based on their tag/location assignment. Our luggage never came to the second carousel. We heard others had collected their luggage at the third carousel (not as directed), We found our luggage circling around the third carousel (not as directed). This was a bit troubling, but we had plenty of time, so it did not impact our schedule with the airline. The balcony cabin 7376 had plenty of storage in the closet with lots of hangers. There was plenty of drawers and cabinets and shelves for all our belongings. If I chose a different cabin it would have been just a little more forward toward the rear elevators for better convenience. Dining - My wife and I chose main dining room second seating 8:00 PM at a table for two. We ate there 8 out of nine nights, the other night was in Windjammer. This suited our desire very well. We did not feel rushed to get to dinner. We like hanging out on deck by the pool as long as possible, and love to take in the sunsets. You have to forfeit these if you eat at 5:30 or 6:00 We ate breakfast 8 out of 9 mornings in the Windjammer. The other morning we ate in the main dining room. The server told us about the great salad bar in the main dining room on days at sea between 11:30 and 1:00 We loved it an recommend it. They also have a limited hot bar and deserts and a menu to order from if your interested. IMPORTANT go by 12:00 it gets busy. (because it is so good) Entertainment - We went to see a very good comedian one night. Another night we listed to a phenomenal ship band. We give them 5 stars. Another night we had a treat to see a juggler that went the farthest on AGT. His performance was outstanding! These 3 alone were superior. We were too busy to get to the ice dancing shows shown 4 times. We saw other ice dancing shows on the Oasis and Harmony and found them to be world class- and amazing. We hate we missed it this time and heard from other cruisers how good they were. We really recommend this even though we missed it this time. All the crew made you feel their goal was to provide you with an outstanding vacation experience. They succeeded their goal with us. Ports and shot excursions. Curacao - just off the pier were little souvenirs to buy, then a tent for "taxis" We love the beach so we got a ride to Kokomo Beach for $10 each person each way. The beach was beautiful the water very clear. They have a large covered deck with drinks and a separate building for bathrooms. We used beach lounge chairs at no charge. Not sure if this was the norm but no one asked us for money. The beach had a lot of rocks to watch out for. They had a pier with steps into the water, which provided a way in the water and miss some of the rocks. Some people snorkeled there. My opinion is there is nothing at this beach fo bother with snorkeling. Bonaire- We went on a sailboat snorkeling trip booked with Compass directly thru their website. The have various trips to offer depending on your time at this island. They were busy with 3 boats going out that morning. We had about 11 passengers which I like that is does not get too crowded. Suggestion to all -- book snorkeling trips early for Bonaire. The highly rated Woodwind trip was sold out 10 months before we arrived. We were very satisfied with Compass. Very personable crew and captain. Aruba- we took a taxi $5.00 per person each way to Eagle beach. Rated among the 50 best beaches in the world. It was about 15 minute ride. It was the most beautiful beach I have seen. There are lounge chairs to rent for $10 each. They will place them in the shade of trees for you. The entree to the ocean was easy. I rented a jet ski for the first time. I paid $50 for 30 minuets. This was plenty enough time. Lots of fun. Across the street was a lunch restaurant. Then along the street came an ice cream truck that also sold frozen drinks at a good price. Great trip if your time and budget fits. I would go again on my next cruise without any hesitation. Had a great cruise, we flew in fromCincinnati day of cruise with a obligatory stop in Atlanta without issues. Embarkation was fast and easy, was eating lunch at Windjammer by 12:00. I have read lots of bad reviews about selection and quality of food. We found the food to be very good throughout the nine day voyage with relly good selection. Our room the large panaramic view was best stateroom we ever had, yes better than a balcony. The extra space and awesome view was well worth the price. We bought the ultimate dining package on Black Friday for 30% off so we ate at chops 4 times and Giovanis 3 times and Isumi (sp) All food and service was excellent. We do this again well worth the money, we found the MDR on past cruises to have very slow service and bland food. The dining package also included lunch so on sea days so we ate at Sabors and Johnny rockets again great food and great service. The entertainment was also very good, the singers never missed a note they are some of the best singers at sea. The ice show was very good and so was the top tier show with the skaters The headliners were very good. there was a juggler from AGT who was very good, sorry I dont remember his name. There was an Illussionist (sp) people seemed to enjoy it, me not so much. The Diamond Lounge was very nice especially when they opened up the Cosmo club for the overflow. The first night they had football there. Curucoa WE did the feed the sharks and turtles trough royal caribbean it was at times unorganized but very exciting being so close to sharks. I t also had a dolphin show that had tricks you would see at Sea World. Aruba We did the Jolly Roger Pirates on our own. Great trip took a10.00 taxi ride to dock checked in had great time. The snorkeling was great saw lots of fish and a shipwreck.WE also did the rope swing and lots of pina colodas. Bonaire WE did the snorkel excurionsion to Coco beach booked through RC Was not a great trip we took a bus to the beach got snorkeling equipment and our chair. To get to snorkle you had tocross over slippery rocks, not fun. There wasnt much to see, water was kinda of choppy. Labbaddee WE rented a jet ski lots of fun. Overall great cruise only bad time was the Bonaire excursion. We did self disembarkment without issue. Read Less

Our trip on this ship was excellent. We loved the people, the food, and the cleanliness. The Navigator to the Sea is a very beautiful ship. Everything was easy and convenient. Our table was 347 with Omar and Sergei, I can't begin to tell how nice, kind and considerate both of them are. Both have very sweet spirits about them, we did appreciate them. Kenneth Marriott was our room attendant in cabin #3722. He did everything he could to make us comfortable, he asked everyday if we needed anything and was prepared to help us. My husband was in a wheelchair and he always asked if I needed help, others on the ship did also. We loved the window in our room, I wasn't at all claustrophobic. We loved laying on the bed and watching the waves, and happy to see islands that we passed. The entertainment was so, so great. It was clean, not dirty talk. The ice dancers, the comedians, the music, singers and all. Everywhere we sat was clean and comfortable. Thank you to all of you that made this trip beautiful. Sandy and Noel Read Less

This was our first cruise. We just LOVED IT! We are both in the late 20s, and were afraid that we were alone in the age, but it was very nice blend and we became familiar with lots of people. When we first got into the boat, we were greeted with a glass of proseco. We had obviously ordered a drink package in advance and did not regret 1 second. We cost us a lot, very nice boat and always something to do. Super service. In the ala cart resturant there was always good food and service, we used to have dinner there, and breakfast and lunch at the buffet. Really recommend this boat to people, and of course RCL. We have actually booked 2 new cruises, and are very excited! The only negative thing I can find is that there was no exceptionally good nightclub, they changed one of the places to the night club after a certain time. But there was too much light from both lamps and windows. Would recommend this boat, cruise line and the trip to my best friends. Read Less

We chose this cruise because it was only 5 days, was on RCCL and left from the port of Miami. For a New Year Cruise it was reasonably priced and the Navigator is a nice ship only a little smaller than Freedom. We used LYFT to get to the Port of Miami. We arrived at 11 am and walked right in and got on the ship in a few minutes. We are Platinum so there was only two people in line in front of us. Our cabin was going to be ready by 1 pm so we went to have lunch at the Windjammer. The buffet was good had good variety of foods to choose from and everything was served at the proper temperature and tasted good. Our rooms were ready right on time as promised. The ship is very well maintained and clean. It was beautifully decorated fo r the Christmas Holiday. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had breakfast and lunch most of the time in the buffet. The staff was extremely attentive brought you water, juice, coffee. I find that there is a lot of variety of international foods - asian, indian, vegeterian but not a big selection of american food or foods of the ports we visited. We went to Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico and they did not have a day where they served Mexican food for lunch or dinner. We had lunch at the MDR one day and really enjoyed it. You could make a salad that they chop for you or they can cook pasta. Great dessert selection. The entertainment was very good. Along with the variety show they had two very good comedians and a Las Vegas entertainer who was outstanding. We got the ship in both ports but did our own tours. In Costa Maya we visited the shops and restaurants at the port and went to Mahahual Beach. Beautiful beach. In Cozumel we took a taxi with 12 people who were traveling with us visited the Tequila Factory and then toured the town. The bars and the service was good, they are not pushy trying to sell you drink packages or bottles of champagne on New Years eve like they do on other cruise lines. Dining room service was excellent. Our waiter and his assistant were very good and tended to all our requests. The food was very good. Disembarkation was very quick, we left at 9 am, we carried our own luggage and just walked off the ship went right through customs. The one thing I did not like about the ship was that they allow smoking in the Casino and people who are not playing the slots come to the Casino to smoke. That should not be allowed. It is bad enough that those who play smoke Overall this was a very enjoyable cruise. We liked it so much that we booked again for next New Year's cruise on the same ship. Read Less

We never had been on a Christmas cruise before and had never travelled to the Southern Caribbean; therefore, Curaçao, Bonaire, and Aruba and Labadee, Haiti were intriguing choices. We live in Miami, so it was an easy journey to and from the terminal. Our interior room with a virtual balcony was fine! We could see the ports of call and the ocean. It was a nice touch! Were were on Deck 9 mid-ship and port side which was quiet and centrally located. The cabin’s vanity and storage areas were large, plus we had a safe and a small refrigerator and a flat screen tv which pulled out of the wall. The bathroom was small and clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. The shower stall has circular, rotating doors instead of a yucky shower curtain that sticks to your backside! The bed was reasonably comfortable, plus the AC control worked well. Cuddy, the Cruise Director was perfect for the job! He was approachable and enthusiastic! We were singing Christmas Carols on the Royal Promenade on Christmas Eve. They even handed out cookies and songbooks while we sang with the professionals. It was a joyful experience! The ship’s band was superb and played in various acts and ship activities. It was a pleasure listening to them! Horizon, a Motown act, and Jack London, a Las Vegas entertainer gave quality performances. I also recommend the ice show. The costumes and choreography were mesmerizing! Speaking of costumes and choreography, the Royal Caribbean performers rivaled some Broadway shows in terms of talent, theater sets, costumes, and technical aspects. We didn’t miss one of their shows. There were comedians as well, but we couldn’t see them all. The Windjammer’s food was exceptional! There was expensive oxtail stew along with steak and goat and lamb curries and stews. There was also Indian and American fare. The salads and fruits and vegetables were pleasing as well. There were even large shrimp and paella-like dishes throughout the cruise. On Day 8 there was a large variety of torts and cakes to sample which were artistically presented. The gingerbread display added holiday cheer as well as the 2 greeters who were delightful! “Washy Washy Your Hands!” The Sapphire dining room boasted lobster and leg of lamb and many other treats. The service was excellent and consistent in both eateries. We didn’t eat at the upcharge restaurants. We participated in a champagne tasting which was reasonable and educational and fun! There are plenty of ship activities to choose from including wine tasting, salsa dancing, going to the gym, swimming, big screen pool movies, and shopping lectures. You can even ice skate or rock climb! Simply reading or ocean watching or sipping and napping were great in the adults only Solarium. I highly recommend the Captain’s Bridge Tour and the Bottomless Brunch Tour! Labadee was an exquisite resort. We rented a beach cabana for 2 and rode the Dragon’s Breath Alpine Coaster. Aruba was our favorite island due to its architecture and range of activities and natural beauty, but Bonaire and Curaçao had their charm as well. We took the Royal Caribbean tours which were of high quality and comfortable. Royal Caribbbean consistently delivers a high quality vacation to cruisers of all walks of life. The crew and passengers we met were positive, and yes, we’d go back again in a heartbeat! Here’s to more adventures in 2018! Read Less

My wife surprised my daughter and I with this Christmas cruise a few days before Christmas. We travel a lot and have done at least a few cruises together, mostly on Norwegian (which we loved), but this was our first try with RCL. We aren't the type to spend much time on deck in the sun (especially around the loud music), so we probably aren't your average cruisers and you should take the remainder of this review in that context. Dining: For dining, we prefer to dine in the upscale themed restaurants and the Navigator of the Seas had several options to choose from. We dined at all of them except Chef's Table as the 3+ hour dinner was too much for our five year old to handle. Service in the themed restaurants was excellent. Our favorite was Izumi (the Sushi restaurant). We spent a lot of time chatting with our all of the staff there and received excellent service from our alternating servers Ashwin and Virgilio. Along with Izumi's awesome manager, Messaoud Haykel, our dining experiences could not have been better. The whole team worked exceedingly hard to meet or exceed all of our requests. The team did things like getting our daughter whatever she wanted for dinner from anywhere else on the ship, getting my wife her favorite liquid center chocolate cake from Chops, and me glasses of port that came from another bar on the ship. That said, we went through much of the menu at Izumi and loved it. It was much better than any sushi restaurant we can find in our home town of Charlotte, NC. (I'm getting hungry just writing about it.) We really enjoyed the other restaurants that we dined at as well. Chops is the second most expensive restaurant on the ship (Chef's Table is the most expensive) and the quality of the food, dining room and service reflect that. Muameer and Manolo at Chops were a pleasure to speak with as well as the rest of the staff. Its well worth the splurge, in our opinion. We also ate at Sabor, the Mexican themed restaurant. It was quite good Mexican food with good service in a pretty dining room, but not anything over-the-top. We had one dinner at Giovanni's Table, their Italian themed restaurant. Although the service was excellent and the dining room was lovely, the food was hit and miss in our opinion. The meat mains were OK, the appetizers were things I do better at home, but the pasta was excellent. Perhaps we just made poor choices. I took my daughter to Johnny Rockets for lunch while my wife was enjoying a reasonably priced massage package and it was a very enjoyable experience. We visited almost all the bars on board for a glass of wine or champagne while on board and found them all lovely places to sit and relax. Service was friendly and their decor was great. Finally Saphire, the main dining room. We did not experience the main dining room for dinner although we did visit briefly for dessert (arranged at our request by our guardian and new friend (Haykel from Izumi). Dessert was great, but we got to see what it was like in full rush hour at about 7PM. Servers were working fast and hard and it appeared to be a very different experience as compared with the specialty dining locations. We did eat breakfast and lunch almost every day in the main dining room however and at first weren't receiving great service. Asking for almond milk cappuccinos (three times emphasizing the almond milk part) got us regular cappuccinos instead. It turns out that some things we were asking for took additional work or needed to be serviced elsewhere on the ship, so some servers weren't making the extra effort. In addition, the service could be quite slow even though we were were in the first wave of patrons. We frequently couldn't sit by ourselves near windows because all of the tables near windows were shared large tables. We couldn't get servers to get fruit juice for our daughter that comes from the bars (pineapple) from most of the servers. Hamburgers at lunch were served without ketchup and mustard. Asking for ketchup from a server would result in him returning with a squirt bottle that he dolled onto your plate. (We thought this was odd compared to providing us with a little container.) Seating for lunch on day 2 (a day when there was a time zone change) was limited to 1.5 hours forcing many to go to the buffet. Anyway, we had a long chat with kind manager, Somchai, who went out of his way to look out for us the rest of our breakfast/lunches and things much improved. Service improved exponentially when we discovered Sergei and Radmir, a dynamic duo. We specifically asked for them the rest of our breakfast/lunch trips to Saphire and had truly excellent service from them. Cabin: Our cabin was a stateroom with balcony at the front of the port side. This allows you to look forward through a window which the other balcony cabins don't have. There are about 8 of these cabins and they don't cost more than other balconies, so look out for them. Our cabin steward, Leonard, was great. We couldn't have asked for better service and wished we could bring him home with us. Our cabin was clean, well laid out and comfortable but not as nice as the suites on Norwegian (probably an unfair comparison). We spent many evenings on the balcony after our daughter went to sleep and thoroughly enjoyed the view of the dark sea, sipping wine. Shipboard Activities: Outside of my daughter's daily hour visit to the hot-tub, we didn't spend too much time on outside while on the ship. We did rock climbing a couple times which was really enjoyable, my daughter enjoyed the kids club a few times and we enjoyed watching people surf / body-board at the flow-rider. We also went ice skating a couple times which my daughter truly loved. We saw at least a few of the shows and were impressed. Ports and Shore Excursions: We did a couple non-ship related activities at the ports that my wife had arranged in advance. They were generally much cheaper than the ship sponsored activities. A warning to Christmas travelers though, very few people are working on December 26th, so taxis, for example, are almost impossible to find. We enjoyed our ports for the most part though. Aruba and Bonaire especially. The locals were friendly and the islands clean. There was good shopping at all four countries we visitied (Labadee in Haiti and Curacao being the other two). In conclusion, we were as happy with this cruise as our experiences with Norwegian, which is great. We would happily cruise with RCL. As with any ship, we just had to find the right people and processes to get exactly what we wanted, when we wanted it. Once we found these 'on-board angels', we had a fantastic time. One final note. We did notice that the ship's crew were working 7 day weeks though. As I recall from Norwegian, the people had one day off a week and seemed happier / more refreshed overall. I can't imagine anyone being at the top of their game working 7 days a week for a contract of 6 months or so. This despite their workloads apparently being cut back significantly from a year or so prior, so it must have been really tough on the crew previously. Anyway, thanks to any of the crew on the Navigator of the Seas who may see this review. We will have happy memories of this trip and hope to join you for a future cruise. Read Less

I chose this cruise because I only travel with Royal Caribbean. I love the nationalities and the ages of the passengers. I love the formal nights who are disappearing on the other cruise-lines. It was my second time to the ABC islands and propably I will go back again. I love to cruise when it is winter in Western Europe and for that time the cruises in the caribbean are the best for having good weather. I only went 3 times to the main dinner because I love to eat in the speciality-restaurants. Especially Izumi is very good and I can recommend the sushi-class to everybody. I do think that the therapies in the Spa are for to expensive. I payed 460 dollars for a 90 minutes couples massage. it was my 13th cruise with Royal Caribbean and the pleasant thing is that I always meet bartenders that I had on a previous cruise. Read Less

We have done many cruises. This one was Exceptional. We were a group of 4 couples. Our cabins were all close by and on the same floor. We had a wonderful time. Overall, the ship was clean. Courtesy and respect were demonstrated by staff at all times. We all had an Ocean View Cabin which were just right for space, and very comfortable. The cleaning services were excellent. We will come back to our room and depict a well made up bed, and everything there in their right place. The food on the ship was exceptional, everything was tasty. There was a large spread of delicious cuisine in the Windjammer. Food was always fresh. Formal dining was also exceptional. Waiters, and maitre d were also exceptional. Entertainment was good also. We were all of Caribbean background, therefore loved the Caribbean band on board. We followed the Band where ever they were playing, and jumped up to their Caribbean music. We will definitely do another vacation cruise on this ship. We had no complaints. Read Less

We choose this cruise for Aruba port stop and the time of year, when most schools are open. We are trying to book cruises on RCI so we can accumulate points. We took a taxi from Miami airport we appreciated not having to go to a hotel for the night and unpack. Ship departed from Miami at 5pm giving us plenty of time for checking in. The onboard process was smoother and quicker than previous cruise which departing from Fort Lauderdale. More checkin stations and just walk in service at 11:30am. Windjammer opened at 12noon. We hung out in the pool area enjoying the music until 1pm when rooms were ready. NOS was decorated for the holidays and everyone was in a festive spirit. Only a few school age children onboard this 9day cruise and families with infants & toddlers. Ship was full and seniors were the majority. Ship was quiet and deserted after midnight. Shows were enjoyable, especially the late night adult comedy shows. We only did 1 of the 2 formal nights using the my time dining option. We went to the Windjammer for meals. We enjoyed the trivia games and hubby went to casino once. We did RCI sightseeing panoramic excursions at each port. We only layed out on the beach at Labadee. RCI provided a fantastic beach side lunch on their island port of Labadee. Most relaxing cruise and great opportunity to meet people from all over the world. This was the first of two back-to-back cruises for us. Same ship and in same cabin, leaving Miami on 12/17 for 5day Western Carribean Cruise. Big difference in atmosphere from the first cruise.
