We chose the Navigator of the Seas because this three (3) day weekend cruise occurred between Christmas and New Year's Eve and during Hanukkah. Leaving from Miami was an added bonus and a short car ride from where we live. The ship had recently been refurbished and I wanted to compare it to the Mariner of the Seas. While in college, I had worked on several cruise ships. We have also gone on many cruises with multiple cruise lines. The new Royal Caribbean Terminal in Miami was very Impressive. The embarkation was very organized and we were on the ship in a few minutes. Our cabin was ready on arrival. The Bedroom Steward was outstanding. The Windjammer was never overcrowded and the staff was very helpful. There were multiple selections. I found the food did not compare to the Dining Room. The Breakfasts there did not have fresh fruit (blueberries or strawberries) for cereal or yogurt. El Loco Fresh was very good. We all partook of the Mexican Entrees. The Cafe Promenade was a surprise. The coffee was always available, fresh and the best on the ship. There were also pastries, cookies, salads and small sandwiches available. Much to our surprise, the pizza was the best that I have had on any cruise ship. We had My Time Dining. There was never a significant wait. We had a Window Table (150) for four (4). Our waitress and assistant waiter were excellent. Although the dining room menu was similar to the Mariner of the Seas, the taste and presentation was much better on the Navigator of the Seas. The food was delicious and well prepared. Although we missed the Ice Show, the other shows were excellent. On previous cruises, the Art Auctions were informative and entertaining. These Art Auctions were disappointing and this was reflected in the decreasing sparse attendance. While on the ship, you never felt overcrowded. obtaining a deck chair or a seat in the theater was never a problem. The Diamond Club is always a high point of the cruise. However, placing it on Deck 5 was disappointment. The staff there was very helpful, but not being on a high deck with a view detracted from the experience. Coco Cay was a welcome addition. Multiple beaches, water parks, children"s areas , entertainment and feeding areas. We enjoyed the island. Downtown Nassau is even more rundown than before. The downtown stores had multiple vacancies. The area needs to be redeveloped or an alternative found. Disembarkation was organized and smooth. They used photo recognition. Pickup was also well organized. The other members of our group thought that this was their best cruise. We all had a wonderful time. Read Less

Note: Hurricane Dorian had just gone through a week beforehand so I am not going to base any of my review on the Nassau Port beach areas or initial expectation of beach enjoyment rather, I will focus my review on the Navigator, Nassau, & Coco Cay's activities and amenities. We had booked beach/ocean excursions but canceled after the hurricane knowing that the water would be full of debris and not clear. It's a good thing or we would have wasted a lot of money. Myself & 18 Year Old Daughter Ocean View Room - Deck 2 Budget Trip to Enjoy the Ship & Ports - No extra packages etc. We literally wanted to sit by the pool and on the beach. First, the Cons: Ship: The ship is showing signs of wear and tear, seats in certain venues are worn and look rough. Cushions on the deck in the Solarium are stained and as the fabric is a solid, light color, it has a particularly "nasty" vibe on the cushioned couple's lounges...if you know what I mean. (Hey Designers....the cushions would be better off with a printed fabric.) The Solarium pool is a little worn and the fountains never worked while we were there. On cruise days, there just wasn't enough shaded seating as an option on the decks and if you didn't get there early, there wasn't enough seating around the pools, period. We spent a lot of time looking for pool seating then heading indoors so as not to get burned until people would disperse for activities. Seriously, there was NO music at the Solarium, no steel drums, no dj, nothing...just this weird dead air silence or chatter from the people laying about. We could hear music from the other pool but if you didn't want to share the pool with kids, you didn't get the fun entertainment or music at all. There wasn't enough music on board in my opinion. Cabin: Let me say, I was hesitant about our cabin location but I LOVED it. This was a budget trip but I can't do rooms without natural light so I spent more on the OceanView but didn't choose our room. Our steward was super nice and kept our space very nice but you could tell that she was just "done & over" the whole thing. We made sure to leave her a nice tip and try to keep our space clean. I felt that we may have been in her way a lot. As for the room, we had 2 twins set up and everything in our cabin was perfect except, 1. there was mold growing between the glass and wall in the shower behind the seal, not a place that can be cleaned. (poor design) 2. The decor and linens are starting to look worn and there are a lot of stains on the whites. 3. Our window stayed pretty dirty which hindered our view.....we couldn't tell if it was between the glass or outside but it's probably because it was so low to the water. Food: Windjammer had too much repetition, especially at breakfast and lunch. The food seemed to be geared toward the kid's palate, not adults as much. This is probably a good way to get cruisers to try the elevated dining but be prepared for that if you plan on traveling on a budget. The "American" food choices were a bit bland while the "International" foods were sometimes oversalted, especially the meat at the taco bar by the pool.....add rice and beans to subdue that. Also, if you like chocolate, you are going to really be searching the ship, there wasn't a lot. If you don't drink a lot of alcohol or sodas, buying a drink package is pointless but be prepared to have little to no selection for beverages. On day one, the Windjammer had coffee, hot tea, water, ice tea, lemonade, and oj, after day one, I only saw coffee, hot tea, water and apple juice (watered down)....you had to really hunt down water as the dispensers were often empty. It's difficult to refill water bottles at the dispensers but quick tip, if you go to the soda dispensers, they also have water and you can fit a water bottle under the spout. The hot tea selection is pretty decent so if you can find ice (good luck) you can make a decent ice tea....bring your own reusable bottle/cup or you will struggle to stay hydrated. Entertainment: Again, more music on the Solarium deck please! Also, throughout the ship, there needs to be more music during the daytime. The rest of this con is personal preference as entertainment is so subjective. Much of the Promenade entertainment felt very "middle school pep rally" except the live bands across from the Cafe Promenade...they were awesome even though you had to stand in the walkways to watch. The library needs to be repurposed; I was told that a lot of the books get thrown out when there is a shipboard virus or people walk off with them so it was really a sad sight to see almost empty shelves. This would be a good space to display more art, have a coffee house vibe, or even just some sort of interactive space. If you are a solo traveler or have a travel companion that is introverted, plan on a lot of people watching as most activities on board are hard to enjoy solo. Nassau - Since we canceled our water activities, we decided to explore Nassau by foot and have lunch at Senor Frogs (go see Michael, he's great). We explored the Straw Market and walked around the town a bit. There is a LOT of aggressive souvenir selling, most of which are repeated items, look for local artisans that are sitting and making and buy from them then just say no thank you when you are finished. On the walking paths, a lot of "high end" shops with "callers" from all sides. If you are traveling with small children or those who have sensory sensitivities, this can be overwhelming and scary. We decided after several hours of being called after ("Mami, can I be your son-in-law!" was constant) it was time to go back and just enjoy some quiet pool time. Ok, Now the Pros - If you are traveling with kids, this is the ship for you!!! Ship: The waterslides, flowrider, rockwall (early before it gets hot), courts, putt putt golf, pools, WATERSLIDES, game rooms, ice skating rink (bring long pants and socks), laser tag, splash parks, teen rooms, WATERSLIDES are AMAZING!! Did I mention the waterslides???? I'm almost 50 and I LOVED them, totally went on them more than you can imagine. If you are are traveling with kids, you are going to have fun. You can even sit in the pool and watch family friendly movies after dinner. The side balconies on the 4th deck and deck 3 are the best places to hang out when the ship arrives and leaves the docks....it's just beautiful and gives that windy "I'm king of the world" feel. If you don't mind being in full sun, there are a lot of upper deck areas to enjoy the view the ride. However, if you need to be indoors because you fry crispy in 10 minutes, head to the Cosmopolitan during the day, it's practically always empty and has a gorgeous view from the top with wrap around windows. You can take your drink up there, a journal, book, sketch pad and have hours of uninterrupted solitude with a great view. Food: If you aren't eating at the Select Restaurants on board but are tired of the Windjammer, make sure you go to the dining room! Their food is top notch and if you get Rob & Felix as your servers, you are going to be pampered. Don't feel bad if you want to order 2 desserts or appetizers, it's totally worth it. Do it! Never leave the dining room without experiencing the creme brulee....if you don't get it, you have missed out. I've decided that anytime the dining room is open when I am on a cruise, I will be there. It saved the food experience for our trip. The taco bar by the main pool is a tasty alternative to the lunch in the Windjammer but their meat tends to be on the salty side so make sure that you get a little extra beans or rice to cut that and some lime and you will be happy! Entertainment: If you are planning a cruise and you love art, add an art budget to your allowance....oh my word, the art auction by Park West was the absolute best fun. I didn't have it in my budget but I left with 6 authenticated, signed art prints in hand and I'm waiting on my Anatole Krasnyansky print to arrive. I just kept entering raffles and participating in the art games and I'm stoked that I came home with so much artwork. I have a few that I like and I've got gifts for Christmas! Look for the piano man in the elevators, that's a lot of fun. Go to the shows....some are hokey but Showgirls was great! We saw their last performance but I'm sure it will be replaced by something else equally great. I enjoyed the Latin dancing and music on board BUT would have loved to have someone to dance with...they need to add professional dancers (like in Dirty Dancing) to dance with solo cruisers because otherwise we have to sit and watch. :( Go to the late night dance parties if you like pulsating dance club vibes on a low key level. I noted that there were a lot of in-bar activities during the day; game show type games, karaoke, bingo, wine/martini/whiskey tastings, and most were geared towards couples. Coco Cay - IF YOU HAVE KIDS>>>>>>>WOWZA! The splash park, waterslides, pools, etc are amazing, you will have a blast. It's a waterpark on an island. Plan on spending the whole day the same way that you do at a waterpark....bring your sunscreen and just let the kids RUN. Read Less

My family and I were looking for a quick getaway before school started back up again. We mainly chose this cruise because we wanted to see the newly renovated CocoCay and it did not disappoint. The ship was spotless, had plenty of staff, tons of places to sit and hang out. Our inside stateroom had a virtual balcony that we loved. We were expecting a small picture of an ocean view, not the full size live video feed. It was awesome!! If you are bored on this ship you are not looking hard enough because there are so many hints to do and see. Our dining room experience was awesome, we loved our waiters Rodrigo and Tomas and the food did not disappoint. I think I went to El Loco Fresh on the pool deck probably around 10 times throughout the 4 day cruise. The food was amazing and depending on how hungry you were you could get a snack or a meal. They advertised the Perfect Day at CocoCay a LOT but it lived up to the hype. The thrill park was tons of fun and the pool was refreshing. There were waiters everywhere and bathrooms and food were plentiful. I have been an avid NCL cruiser in the past but this Royal Caribbean cruise was a welcome change and I am looking forward to many more of them in the future. I can’t recommend this ship enough! First passengers to visit a remodeled Cococay with new water park, pool with bar etc, The whole facilities were excellent, beach did not feel crowded at all (may change on the bigger ships like the Allure), pool was very animated with DJ, had the feel of being in a 5 star hotel pool, The water park gave nice fit to whole family travel idea with rides for every age, this island will surely be a reason to travel in Royal Caribbean for many families in months to come. Of course the water park has a cost of $44 per day, Zipline is $79, There is a Hellium Ballone (costs $24) Jetski tour ($104), etc. Navigator has free water slide on ship, one doulble rider and a single rider (heads down), pretty nice and its free. Shows were ok but not on the level of the Symphony or Harmony, Will recommend it is certainly a nice weekend getaway alternative for those who live in Florida. Read Less

This was my 8th cruise and first time on the Navigator. Overall, it was a great ship with a great crew. The ship is very similar to the Independence and Freedom of the Seas, which I've sailed on before and thoroughly enjoyed. Lets start with the good: - The Ice show. This was fantastic and shouldn't be missed. They have a coordinated light show using drones as part of the show and it's amazing. - The guitar singer in the Windjammer singing "washy washy" songs. Haven't seen this on any other ships, and it always brought a smile to hear the days rendition of some song converted to a "wash your hands" song. Loved it. - Cruise director and staff were very energetic and funny. - Balloon drop at midnight on the first night of the cruise. I've done a New Years eve cruise and this reminded me of that scene. It was really cool. This was the first cruise where I decided to try the specialty dining as I've always been impressed with the MDR food, so was looking forward to seeing how much better the food would be. I tried Chops and Jamie's Italian restaurants. Chops was decent, but this was no where near as good as it should have been for the price. I was expecting something along the lines of a Morton's steakhouse or Ruth's Chris quality, but it really wasn't even close...more like an Outback experience. It was good, but not worth the extra money. We had a similar experience at Jamie's, though it was even more of a disappointment. Never been to an Italian restaurant where they didn't play Italian music...instead they're playing some pop/techno stuff, that just didn't fit. I've also never been to an Italian restaurant where they don't immediately serve you bread along with some form of spread. Instead, Jamie's has some different breads as part of the appetizer menu. Also the waitress seems to over explain everything. I appreciated her knowledge, but it got to the point where we just wanted her to shut up and let us eat. The staff was wearing jeans and flannel shirts...not sure how this is Italian themed, but maybe I'm not hipster enough to get it. The desserts were hit and miss...the lemon meringue cheese cake was wonderful, the tiramisu was lacking and short of any coffee flavor. I didn't get a chance to do the escape room. It wasn't open on our last sea day so you'll want to get in early so you don't miss that. Also, one night there was an even on the cruise planner for "Stargazing on the helipad". We weren't sure what would be involved with this but assumed it would have some crew lead event of sort. Nope, it was just a bunch of people on the helipad at night, all wondering what was going on. Overall, it was a great cruise and I would definitely go on it again Read Less

This is the second time that we are on this ship. We also cruised for New Year's last year and booked this cruise while we were on the ship. I have to say last year was better. The ship is getting ready to go in for dry dock for a major renovation. We live in Miami so we used Lyft to go to the port. We got there at 11:30 am. Embarkation was quick - we are Emerald and the line was very small. Our room would be ready at 1:30 so we went to the buffet to have lunch and wait for our cabin. We had an interior cabin - 9643 - it was confortable - had lots of storage space and drawers. Our cabin steward was excellent, We cleaned our room twice a day, brought us ice and was attentive to all our needs. We had Mytime dining and we had made reservations for 7:30 3 nights a and 2 nights 8:00. Out waiters were ok - not as friendly and attentive as what we are used to - maybe they had too many tables to serve. The food was ok - nothing expectacular. They never served lobster. We were on the Harmony in September and the food and the service was excellent. We ate in the buffet for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was good - they had a good selection of items but lunch was not so good. It was like eating the previous night reheated leftovers. You could not even make yourself a great salad. The staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the shows - there two production shows, one hypnotist, a comedian and a tribute to BonJovi. There were all good. We spent quite a bit of time in the Casino. The slots were not paying much. Even the high rollers were not winning big jackpots. There was a lot of smoking in the casino which I don't like - specially people who don't play go there to smoke. Non smoking slot section is very small. They had raffles but if the person was not there they did not pay the price and did not any more names. We had two stops - Nassau and Labadee. In Nassau we took a cab to Baha Mar Resort and Casino. Beautiful resort and a great casino. In Labadee we went to the beach and spent the day there and enjoyed the ships BBQ. Since we live close to the port we cruise a lot and have been to these ports several times but always enjoy going again. Disembarkation was easy. We were off the ship by 8:45 am after picking up our luggage and quickly going through Customs. The New Year's celebration was good. They had music by the pool and also in the Promenade. This year they were selling tables in both areas so people would have reserved seating. The promenade was packed so we went up to the pool deck. Overall we enjoyed the cruise. Like this ship - not too big not too small. All the staff was friendly and attentive and we would cruise on it again. Compared to the Oasis class ship what I like about the Navigator is that it has a lot of open areas to sit where you can watch the ocean like in lounges. (deck 4 & 5) What I don't like is that they have limited venues to eat - Park Cafe is very small - it has sandwiches and pizza and when the buffet is closed (3:30 to 5:30) it's the only place you can grab something to eat (for free). Coming back from Nassau there must have been 100 people in line to grab a snack. Whereas the larger ships have many more options. Read Less

I loved this cruise. I would first like to say how great the staff were. Our waiters in the dining room were a joy to talk to and the stateroom staff were also very nice and made you feel welcome. There was never a time where we didn’t have something to do on the ship. I enjoyed lounging on the poolside and in the hot tubs for times where we wanted to relax. As for the entertainment, there’s so much to say. The comedy shows were amazing, the game shows are a blast to watch, and live music and karaoke was fun. We also enjoyed mini golfing, ice skating + an ice skating show, the arcade, family bingo, and ping pong. As for the food, everything we ate was complimentary and it wasn’t bad. Most of the things were delicious, and only a few things could’ve been better. I loved going to the Windjammer every morning for breakfast, grabbing a bite from the Cafe Promenade, and dining at the Saphire Dining Room fo dinner. The gym had lots to do. I had tons of fun on this ship, even if it’s an older ship. I wouldn’t have been able to tell it was built in 2002 if I didn’t find out. New Year’s eve was also a great time, despite our balloons being stuck, but that was all joy and laughter. The days at sea were mainly lounging but if we had “nothing” to do, we could always go exploring around on the ship or the Star Lounge was a great spot for entertainment. For the ports, Nassau and Labadee were great experiences, and we were always on time. This was a great experience for my first time cruising. I think it’s great for all ages. The only negatives would be some rocking on the ship but I got used to it. Thank you Royal Caribbean!! I will miss this ship a lot. Read Less

Just returned from a short Stages cruise on Navigator of The Seas, Found good and bad points on board, I will start with the good. Embarking the ship was easy arriving by taxi we waited a short while, the were passed via security check onto check in and on board, only to find no cabins were ready very little seating area, lunch was served in the Windjammer which was excellent but this quickly filled up, and seats here also run short, so it was eat up and back on your feet walking around looking for seats, cabins were opened at 1:30 pm but when we found ours it was still being cleaned, the luggage was also missing, and this never arrived till after 5pm.. Cabins were good but lacked a few home comforts no Shower Gel, Shower Caps, Hair Dryers etc. Crew were very good always a smile and tried hard to please, with exception of customer services, wifi desk , and the excursion desk. The excursion desk were no help , give no information and failed to arrange shuttle busses in port. We were allocated first sitting for dinner but told we there were no reserved tables and it was first come first served! So we dined in the Windjammer. The bars were VERY expensive at $8 a pint! With the result not many used them. Entertainment was first class with big star names like Michael Ball, Collabro, Bobby Dravro and a host more, only problems there were long queues for each show, with seats for some shows reserved for VIPs and shows often over run and clashed. On return to Southampton we were given breakfast and luggage unloaded with great speed as the ship had a very short turn round. One last point my wife was taken ill and we had to visit the medical centre twice , the staff were very good, but for the size of the ship was worried it was under staffed! Read Less

Have cruised with RCCI previously. Expected the ship to feel big, like Independence, but in reality seemed a little smaller..didn't matter though. Quality of musicians in the bars around Navigator were exceptional. Bar tenders very friendly and attentive. Remembered our name, cabin number and drinks preference, really quickly, was very impressed. Jacuzzis lovely and warm and quite easy to find sunbeds most days. Food delicious, one other reviewer here has complained at the length of time that it took to have dinner. For me, going out for dinner is an occasion, that doesn't want to be rushed. A little empathy and a pleasant personality ensures that your requirements are met. We had no trouble getting a table in the area we preferred, with the fabulous waiting staff we preferred (Edwin, Karan, Fabiano) and catered for by Estefania at the door...very very attentive and ensured we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Perhaps if other passengers are wanting to be 'fed quickly', they should eat in the Wind Jammer...quality food and service takes time. I do agree there was a lack of accompanying vegetables with the starter and main meals, however, if you add up all the calories, from start to finish of the 3 course dinner, plus drinks, there is certainly no shortage of calories there. Wanted a longer cruise outside the school holiday. Never been to the Canaries before. The ship was Beaty with a lot of decoration and art. Clean and good taken care of. Our incide cabin had everything we needed and a lot of places to store our things, perfectly located on deck nine between the two lifts. Our stateroom attendant Ida did a Great job and kept it clean and was so nice to us all the time. Had read so many reviews about the need of upgrade, but that was not my experience. Always chairs available outside and it was never difficult to swim in the three pools or find a place in one of the jacuzzi. The food was very good. Specially impressed by the food in Windjammer that had a lot of choices. Also had very nice food in the MD and very good service thanks to Luise and Felix. Did take the Galley brunch and visit the kitchen and can understand how much work it is for the people in the kitchen and for the waiters to serve all the passengers. Also had some meals in chops grill and Giovanni as part of a prebooked 5dinner package. The entertainment was overall very good with some extra memorable experiences as the ice-show, the Barricade boys, Perry Grant and Craig Halliday. Cuddly was a very good as entertainment manager. Only one bad experience; with the spa treatment with a big pressure of bying products, so don’t think I will take any more spa treatments in the future. Did very excursion wit RCCL in Lisbon and Agadir. The Hippo Hippo tour with Anna in Lisbon was fantastic fun and let us see some of the major places. I don’t think We would like to go by our self in Agadir but had an very nice guide and did not felt unsafe during the excursion. I also think they was so pushing selling things in Agadir as earlier experience in Morocco. The best excursion we had was in Lanzarote with Lanzarote Experience. We had a group of 13 with our very nice guide and driver Angela on the whole day trip called grand tour. We was able to see the Timanfaya National Park, wine growing area, cactus garden, Cuevas de los Verdes and Jameos del Agua. We also had a tour in La Corunna with Hercules tours, a two hour tour around the city. The other places as Vigo, Las Palmas and Madeira we just walked around the city, easy from the chip. Will recommend Navigator and the Canaries. Read Less

We went to customer services and ask them to help us out was told to speak to restaurant manager which we did the following evening we was told he has 3 sheets of paper of people asking for tables for two may be Royal Carribean should look into share dining a bit more a lot of people we spoke to did not like the share table and choose to eat in windjammer which is a shame because fine dining is all about the experiance of a cruise.ship very dusted in public places bar areas broken chairs other passengers who have been on this ship a few times said its the worse it has been lots of corners being cut. First time for us on a Royal Caribbean ship with over 20 cruises under our belts mostly with Thomson TUI and P&O we thought why not give them a try. The Navigator is a big ship and requires alot of walking both stairs and passage ways and definitely more rides in lifts etc and getting on and off the ship for tender boats and to go a shore can take some time. The ship its self is showing its 15yrs in service a lot of the soft furnishings and carpets need some TLC. The cost of every thing is expensive on board and prices of things has the wow factor. OK now to the important part the food amazing it is and we enjoyed meals in the MDR and the Windjammer buffet and we ate well. They have a good pastry chef on this galley thats for sure and all the chefs know what there doing. Entertainment was good a really good collection of musicians in the nine piece orchestra brilliant to back up the dances and singers. Headline acts were Darren Day, Roy Walker. East coast boys singing Frankie Valli songs brilliant and they were introduced by a lively cruise director. Ok service was good waiters in the MDR very well trained and keen to help. House keeping was good all seemed cheerful and happy. On the bar work waiters seemed a bit stressed and short handed under pressure. Will we go on another RCI cruise yes we have already booked it on the Independence of the Sea for next year. Thats about it really happy cruising BYE. Read Less

Ship was in generally good shape. Some wear but upkept well. Clean roomy ship, bright and cheery. Easy on, easy off. Well organized and pleasant staff. We traveled with mostly folks from Great Britain (we’re from Chicago, USA) and they were terrific. Courteous and friendly. Main Dining. Generally, I enjoy eating at the dining room. I like the formality of dressing for dinner, accompanied by good food and service. However, the quality of the food in the main dining room has deteriorated in all cruise ships. Food is hit or miss. Had oso buco and instead of a full, meaty oxtail, braised if a rich sauce, was served a curled piece of thin cut of beef, curled and brown. Our main waiter was below average. Still learning his job. World disappear for long stretches and could not be found. Assistant server, top notch and attentive. Our steak and shrimp combo dinner came without the shrimp. Our waiter didn’t notice or didn’t care. We had to bring to his attention at which point he would try to correct. I’m sure good help is hard to find, and it shows. Our waiter gave us the feeling that he was hoping we would just leave him alone. Buffet: Better than average. I detest most buffetts but this one was good. Good abundant selection, good variety. Ate here often for quick satisfying meal, mostly breakfast but also lunch an dinner a few times. Clean and well presented choices. Specialty dining, very good. Chops food and service fantastic. Great appetizers, bacon, shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, bone in rib eye, filet and desert. Top notch food, good wine selection and great professional service. Ate at Giovanni’s table. Also very good but not great. Kids really liked Johnny Rockets. Entertainment was world class. Great shows, talented staff, enjoyed main theater almost every night. Comedians, hypnotists and the ever-talented singers and dancers very enjoyable. Ice show was fun. Enjoyed casino, every night. Not enough poker. Went to yoga class, used steam room, sauna. Kids hung out at teen club, nice athletic activity center, rock climbing wall, plenty to do. Pools nice but never enough chairs. Went to cigar lounge, enjoyed a quality cigar. We played bingo, lost. My son won the Star Wars trivia contest. Also, won 2nd place in archery contest. The itinerary was out of this world. Gibraltar (wife attacked by apes—she’s ok) , Alicante, Spain (beach, reat tapas and gelato winding through narrow city streets), Mallorca overnight (beach, party like a Mediterranean), Sardinia (great coffee in historic villa) Cadiz (walled city, beach and cathedral) Lisbon’s, city tour on foot) Good value trip in exotic, less traveled western Mediterranean beach cities. Great ship, excellent food, very friendly stuff, great service, interesting activities. I felt very comfortable on the ship and they offer a wide range of great activities such as different dance classes, karaoke, lectures etc. Food is excellent: The Windjammer is a buffet restaurant where one can eat as much as they wish. For breakfast one can also eat in the more elegant Saphire restaurant. Each guest also gets a dinner time to choose for the Saphire restaurant with very kind waiters. My favourite port of call was Gibraltar, which offers amazing views and the monkeys are also a great attraction. However, make sure you buy tickets in advance for going up the rock or walk up there if you are sporty, because otherwise you will have to wait too long in the queue. I would have liked to spend more time there. Lisbon was the second most interesting port of call for me and is an interesting city. Read Less

Boarding as always with RC very easy and slick. Great cruise destinations although four port days with the two middle days being St Petersburg was very tiring as we had booked the two day tour of St Petersburg which i0 hours each day. It was also quite crowded at the main attractions, but the world cup was on so that didn't help. Food and service in the main sapphire dining room was poor we had five night speciallity dining package which was good so only had five nights dining in the sapphire dining room. the other two nights we spent in the windjammer which was better by far then the main dining room. We were on Navigator in December 16 and the main dining experiance has certainly got worse. not that it was that good then either. The entertainment was also exactly the same as December 16 vertually word for word and dance for dance. Read Less

We chose this cruise mainly because the ports of call are places which we have not been to yet. Port of embarkation was also a plus since we were able to go around London a few days before the actual cruise. This was my third time to cruise using Royal Carribean and from the first time I cruised with RCL, I was very impressed. Their food selection in the Windjammer is very wide especially if one prefers to have a casual dining. The Sapphire dining is a great alternative for breakfast if I prefer a more formal ambience. I love the salad bar served during lunch at the Sapphire dining during sea days and for dinner, service of waiters are excellent. And after dinner, we always look forward to the shows at the Metropolis theater which has been prepared very well. The cruise director and staff have always prepared activities fit for all. As for the cabin we stayed in, it was spacious and was always kept clean by our stateroom attendant. All our requests have been granted. I feel that whenever I am onboard Royal Carribean, I feel pampered by all the friendly staff of the ship. The shore excursion options are all good. And the way the excursions were handled were very orderly. I am now planning my next cruise with Royal Carribean that will fit my budget and the dream places I would like to see. Read Less

My husband and I were travelling with a group of 60 passengers and this was our 1st ocean cruise. I was nervous about being on the open seas, but once on board Navigator of the Seas, all fears were gone. It was a smooth sailing vessel even when the N. Sea became a little choppy. Thoroughly enjoyed the live shows in the theater, the entertainment (trivia, sing-a-longs, etc. ) in the Schooner lounge, friendly chats at Boleros, dancing and socializing in the Cosmopolitan and the English pub. My favorite though was the Promenade Cafe, where we were able to indulge in English scones and other pastries with a nice cup of tea at any time we wanted too. I decided to have a spa hour and enjoyed a soothing massage in clean comfortable surroundings. Also enjoyed the gym, but preferred to take in the fresh sea air by going for walks on the decks. As for the meals, our scrumptious dinners were in the Sapphire Room and we had our breakfast and lunches in the Windjammer, which were delicious and fresh. I did not get to eat at any of the other restaurants, but heard that the meals were great. Also had fun and enjoyed the on board shopping. Had the opportunity to have a chat with the Captain which was a highlight. The crew from different parts of the world were courteous, very friendly and helpful. It was a super experience to be on board the Navigator of the Seas. Read Less

This is the first time for me to travel by cruise, it is an excellent experience. The ship and stateroom are very clean and nice. The stateroom attendant was very efficient and did a good work. The staff on the cruise are very friendly and helpful. Especially the wait persons were very attentive and friendly. We had couples days in the ships cruising and there were lots of things to do during those days, and you would not feel bored in the ship. The environment in the ship was very nice and comfortable. The maintanance of the ships was excellent. Food was very nice and lots of different cuisine and variety to choose for. The menus was slightly different everyday so that you could have different food everyday. And there were some other special restaurants which is worth to try. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to go with this trip with Navigator of the seas. Read Less

The cruise was good, as was the food and entertainment. Cruise ship staff were excellent. If I have a criticism it would be the distance the ship was docked from the the town/city we were visiting, also the length of time we were allowed to spend on shore at some ports of call was not enough. Food/Dining Cabin Entertainment we all excellent I would go again, but would necessarily go shore at all locations. Tallinn and Saint Petersburg were the highlights of the cruise and would highly recommend visiting them. I did the one and a half day St Petersburg trip. This was very good, but don't expect to see everything, at the places you will be visiting as the museum's and the crowds, are huge. This makes it difficult to get around. Also the is very little time for shopping. Except for one place they take you to, which, is quite expressive. Read Less

Although the ship is in need of a few repairs, all in all its still in good shape. The entertainment is good in all areas especially the main theatre. Service is good as you would expect from Royal. The highlights have been with the tours we have chosen. With the cruise tours been to expensive with went with Alla Tours and I have to say they are the best we have ever had from a cruise ship. From the ease of booking and dealing with them, to the expert and friendly guides. I would highly recommend them. Our cabin was spacious and clean with a extra large balcony at the rear of the ship, sometimes sute did lodge outside but room attendant kept it cleaned. The ship was just the right size for us not to big and not to small. The main theatre had two shows a night which were very good. Read Less

Cruising with friends and family.6 in the party all adults. Had a great time . the weather was great , we was round the pool area on sea days . Very comfortable , great laughs from Daniels entertainment . Of the headliner shows Bobby Davro and Jack Pack and Mick miller were excellent shows. Ricci Jay was rubbish . All staff were so helpful and always smiling . The room was cleaned twice a day , and towels changed. Very good service . The food was wonderful in all the resturants , especially in sapphire evening dining. All waiters were great. We all liked a drink and the bar service was fantastic in all the bars .the waiters were so quick with the drinks . Smoking room was a godsend for me aswell . Karaoke was a bit of a let down , not enough songs to choose from and was only on once for the adults, but daniel was a great host. I wasn't happy paying 52 dollar to get to Bruges that was a bit expensive , and went on the 8am bus and when we got there nothing was open till 10am , very disappointing . Bruges itself was beautiful. Overall a great holiday . Read Less

The Navigator of the Seas this cruise was exceptional! From the moment you arrive at the Southampton Cruise Terminal the customer service made getting our luggage and ourselves so quickly and easily. All rooms were ready at 1:00 PM. CABINS- The cabin was clean, stocked and the attendant catered to every need. The beds were super surprisingly comfortable for both my husband and I . The cabin was well insulated and we slept soundly every night. We had absolutely not one issue with our cabin. We wished we would have upgraded to a balcony to get the cool north sea breeze into our room but we didn't think about it . FOOD-The food was exceptional as well. EVERYWHERE. From the windjammer we decided to eat there most evenings. The chef Joseph on this ship prepared fresh fish and chips for our table with different fish every night. This was not the norm. He saw how we enjoyed them on day one and they were not on the menu any other night so he brought a platter each night. Another aspect of the food was they really took great care and made the food comparable to the ports. Like we were in Germany and they had sausages...The mornings they made sure the English and different Europeans had their traditional foods available as well . (We are Americans). The Cafe Promenade Coffee was one of our favorites. They had ILLY coffee which we loved! We highly encourage you to purchase the beverage package. We added it up and even though my husband doesn't drink alcohol by end of day two it paid for itself. The bottles of water , spring, or sparkling was available all day and on the excursions as well. The wines they poured were premium wines. We didn't see one cheap bottle the whole cruise. We did eat in two specialty restaurants. Chops Grille..yes go! and Giovanni ended up being our favorite! We had steak there as well and they brought all the superb Italian entrees as side dishes for us to try. On Board Activities - highly recommend the Sushi Making Class! Flow Rider was a big hit for my husband! He surfed in the North Sea.. SHOWS and Entertainment-They also took great care in the movies they selected. They were for the region we were cruising to and from, We would wrap up on blankets on the pool deck (get your blankets early this was surprisingly popular) and wrap up and watch the movies. The north sea wind didn't stop anyone! It was very fun. Nice Quiet areas- our favorites areas for solitude was the solarium. We love children but this is a nice quiet area for adults. The steam and Sauna we used daily. I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful the ports and cities we visited. I highly recommend the excursion Lubeck in Germany. We enjoyed the service on this ship. It was comforting at night to watch the TV with the cruise director and activities director informing us about the next day , very helpful Read Less

The cruise was wonderful experience and the service was excellent, our was cabin over looking the Promenade was beautiful, Foods was absolutely tasty. we have thoroughly enjoyed our holidays and will most certainly will cruise again with Royal Caribbean cruises again hopefully soon. The entertainments and the activities and the services was excellent. the embarkation and the disembarkation was very smooth we did not encounter any discomfort at all. We quite like dinning in the wind jarmmer simply had massive selection of food to chose from. Down stair cafe was very handy too with tasty snakes every time you fancy a bite to eat. Night entertainments was very good there was always something going on so you never get bored. On the top deck there was so much going on from music to massive screen playing all your favourite films and more simply wonderful themes. We have had absolutely wonderful time. This was our first time on the cruise and we really enjoyed it very much. Read Less

This was a chartered cruise by Cruiseco and billed as an 80s theme with over 38 acts performing during the cruise. It was very well organised with added benefit of the Royal Caribbean standard. Booked 3 weeks before departure & benefitted from a half price cost which proved to be great value for money - took out a drinks package which was reasonable price and well worth it. Entertainment was well organised ensuring all got to see headline acts. we were surprisingly allocated a promenade view cabin on deck 8 which exceeded our expectations. Although our preference of anytime dining was not available the restaraunt went out their way to accommodate our needs - the food was the usual high standard as expected and the service could not be faulted. Feel full price was overpriced and hopefully if this is to be an annual event consideration will be to pricing and possibly pitch it in between full & half price - definitely would recommend and look forward to it happening again.
