Crossing the Atlantic I can now say is ticked off my bucket list. The cruise, food and room attendant were excellent. The only let down was customer services department. Shortly after we set sail my personal wheelchair's front wheel packed it in (despite a preparatory service). It was sent to the ship's engineering department who after I inquired about the repairs was returned unfixed three ...
Have been on a few other different cruise lines. This was our first on Royal Caribbean. Our cabin steward was brilliant. He informed me that they, and a few other, direct customer facing employees are not paid at all by the cruise line. They rely on tips for their "wages". Ours was definitely worth his tips.
Embarkation was very smooth - don't listen to those that say it wasn't.
We bought ...
We have just returned from a fabulous voyage on board RCI Navigator of the seas, embarkation was a breeze and we were aboard in less than 20 minutes. Navigator is a mid sized ship for Royal and she is getting older now, but she is kept spotlessly clean. Our cabin was a promenade view room which was quite spacious, it had a bowed window with a window seat so that you could sit and watch what was ...
Just back from a 13 night Southampton to Miami trans Atlantic repositioning cruise with stops in Boston, New York City, and Cape Canaveral. ( Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas) I loved it ! That is the quick review ; more long winded stuff is below
As preamble, my wife and I are not experienced cruisers, we have done three cruises over the last 15 years. So admittedly, we are likely ...
This was our first experience of Royal Caribbean but sadly, very likely to be our last. Embarkation and disembarkation went quite quickly and smoothly but that is about it for the positives. We did not choose or cabin as it was part of a package deal but found it to be one of the smallest inside cabins we have ever had, very cramped. It was not very clean and obviously had not been hovered in a ...
We took Navigator of the Seas in May, 2016 from Ft. Lauderdale to Southampton . We had smooth sailing all the way so booked the cruise from Southampton to Miami for Nov., 2017. Although we had a great time, it wasn't smooth sailing as the seas made up for what we didn't experience the first time. It was all good though as we met several very nice people from Scotland, Wales and England. I enjoyed ...
We chose this cruise as an alternative to flying out to our families in the US. We won’t do it again! The weather was too rough and cold to be out on deck during the winter, therefore 99% of passengers were inside for 95% of the waking time whilst at sea. The ship always felt crowded and bustling during the day (noisier and less relaxing than normal). Unfortunately Navigator appeared tired and ...
We chose the Navigator for a change as it was visiting Boston, where we had never been, and overnighting in New York. We have completed many Transatlantics on board Independence and Queen Mary 2 as it’s a convenient way to get to and from Florida.
Boarding at Southampton was extremely quick and easy and we were very pleased with our cabin, 9500, which is an enormous family stateroom directly ...
The ship was lovely and our balcony cabin was roomy and spotlessly clean.
The choice and quality of food was excellent especially in the dining room where the service was second to none!
We loved the different choices of entertainment and was never at a loss for something to do even on the long journey accross the Atlantic .
The staff on the Navigator of the Seas went over and above in ...
After several cruises with Royal Caribbean and some prior with Fred Olsen, we have been disappointed and probably will not go with RC again. Service is poor and standards are dropping, see details below:
1 Chops Grille for lunch, poor menu selection, average quality. No sides of vegetables ?
2 No room safe, asked at customer service (twice), eventually turned up after 3 days. It then ...
