My husband and I were on the Nautica for the 10-day Western Europe Escapade. We sailed from the Port of Rome to Barcelona and then visited Cartagena, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Oporto, Portugal; Bilbao, Spain; and Bordeaux, France. It ended in Southhampton, from which we were bused to Heathrow.

Maybe it's a matter of expectations and what you consider expensive. With an average verandah room and the cost of $16,000 for a 15 day cruise, we had high expectations. Having been on many cruises booked this one on a whim a bit too late for a good cabin. We thought we would not care on this itinerary since it would be too cold for a balcony--it was --but our mid-ship low deck cabin would become an inside cabin as the porthole window was often closed in bad weather. An advantage was we had litttle of the motion affected the higher lever cabins.
