Food was awful. Staff tried very hard but you could tell that most were new.

Had traveled on Oceania in the past, including Nautica. Loved the cruises but this last cruise was a true nightmare. Moldy shower curtains. Dirty dinning room curtains. Food offerings were limited as compared to past cruises. Staff was trying to do its best, but passenger/crew ratio, I would guess, was lower than usual. Room service was awful. One shore excursion was scheduled for 3 hours ...

Food, service, and overall quality of ship were below expectations

We have previously traveled on Oceania. Nautica is an ancient ship that should be retired. Bathrooms are horrific. Food and service were poor. Room service served rotten bananas, brown lettuce. Dress code not enforced in main dinning room. Folks wore flip flops, torn/dirty sweatshirts. Dining room drapes were wrinkled and dusty.Mold on shower curtain in bathroom. Staff appeared to be ...

Oceania has gone from very good to very poor

This was our 5th cruise with Oceania- it was our last. The service in the Grand Dining was below average. It appears that Oceania has understaffed the wait staff particularly for the evening meal. In the Grand Dining, one of our party ordered a Jacq Pippin "signature" dish- roast chicken. It was served, after along wait, cold, hard and dry. The entertainment, with a few exceptions, was amateurish ...

This was our first time on Oceania, recommended by our travel agent, we have cruised approx 20 times on 7 different cruise lines, including Crystal, Seabourn, Ponant, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Azamera & Star line, .This was by far the worst cruise ever, food was dreadful in all outlets accept the speciality restaurants,,except for a few staff members, service was poor, the crew are obviously ...

Worst Cruise Ever

Disorganised staff lost us three days of shore trips and no apology. Extremely dismissive attitude: 'don't worry you'll get your money back at the end. (In USD at a very poor rate). Money back is not the issue. A trip to the Great Wall, one of the prime reasons for going, was thrown away by the crew because of bad management A botched embarkation left all passengers stranded for over a ...

Poor Quality & Treatment

Unless you reserve in the two highest categories, you are treated very poorly. Dinner ereservatiiobns are not a priority unless you are in the top 2 categories, embarking early reserved for special class & expensive tours. Not at all what we expected. Middle &uppe r maNAgement very impressed with themselves and not helpful. One notable excxception is genertal manager Guiseepe. Reception & ...

So many people will never cruise Oceania again. We were first & last but there were many loyal multi cruisers who commented how the line has declined. We met atleast 6 who will never return & one was in owner suite .Since it's sale quality is gone & they are penny pinching. The one constant was the high quality meat brought in from USA. The menu repeated many times & desserts were ordinarily ...

Went with Oceania from Capetown to Singapore . Don't do it sounds exotic but African ports other than Capetown not worth doing . Maldives and Seychelles were good but not enough to warrant this expense and time . As far as Oceania goes the food was very good and the general staff were excellent , but that's as far as it went . The cruise director was terrible as was the lack of entertainment and ...

Oceania: Again expensive, unfriendly and dishonest

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Nautica

After our first Oceania-cruise to Antartica with Ms Insignia we decided never to sail with Oceania again. Many reasons for that: 1. officers were invisible. 2. the food was not of constant quality. 3. the admosphere at the ship was terrible. 4. we missed the scheduled stop at the Falklands. During seven days we were told, this was because of the severe winds. But then the truth came out: we ...
