WE have sailed 4 times with Silversea.  Twice in the Silver Cloud (before becoming a expidition ship) and twice on the Silver Spirit (before the latest refurb.).

We sailed from Mumbai to Dubai.  As usual the Silversea staff was attentive and our cabin butler was offered excellent services.

The cabin was larger and clean.

The dining room service and food were excellent and the wait service attentive and the food, as always, we excellent.

The itinerary met all of our requirements and the excursions offered covered much of what one would want to see.  At some ports we chose to  hire a cab to take us around.  We found the drivers very willing and their prices reasonable.  Just make sure you agree on a price prior to beginning.

This is not a ship to take children and that includes teenagers.  Small ships have limited entertainment facilities and The are other curise lines better suited to handling children.

Great Ship - Update again

We (just the two of us) love the size of this ship and that all the cabins are a comfortable size, though we did have a larger cabin on this particular cruise. The service was impeccable as usual and food was very good (and that is saying a lot since I am a very picky eater). We always arrive a few days before our cruise since we know things can go astray (cancelled flights,  delayed flights, etc) plus we enjoy resting up and exploring our departure city. We both love the all-inclusiveness of SilverSeas. There was plenty of good entertainment thru out our Cruise.  Our room had so much storage space and the closet was very large for a ship.

(Drawers and cabinets galore) The balcony was a nice size with a small table for eating, an adjustable lounge chair and a standard cushioned chair.  The only negative was the limited movies as I do enjoy watching movies late at night.

   I'm glad to see this ship going into dry dock for refurbishments--It will be a great Enhancement.

Fabulous Cruise

We have listened for many years to friends who are 'hooked' on cruising, and felt that it was probably not for us. Would we be bored with the 'at sea' days? would we fit in with the other cruisers? what would the food be like? would we be seasick? Any excuse really - that was until we decided to take the plunge and try a Silversea cruise following a week in northern India. 
From the first moment we got onto the ship we were so relaxed and happy that it seemed a shame to get off and spend a week in the Seychelles over Christmas! The quality of everything on board was excellent, the fellow cruisers were a delightful bunch, the food was out of this world, the crew were helpful and obliging, our cabin was perfect - what more can I say! Well, what I can say is that we booked another cruise for 2010 before we had even left the ship. Yes, we have caught the bug. 
Cabin was very satisfactory with a small, but adequate balcony. The location was very good, not at all noisy and as it was a forward facing cabin we were very happy. The walk-in closet was quite small, but again adequate, and the bathroom was very usable, except that it was a little difficult to get past the shower screen to turn the bath taps and shower on. However, this was no great problem and we would choose this cabin again at any time. It was also very handy for the launderette, which was just down a nearby flight of stairs.
