We only cruise out of the New York area and wanted to get to Mexico. This cruise stopped in both Costa Maya and Cozumel. Ship is gorgeous. Food, if you can get it hot, is OK. Getting the food while it's still hot at a sit down restaurant is challenging to say the least. Had to go to into the cleanup area to speak to my waiter because he forgot to bring our dessert to the table one evening and ...
Currently on MSC Meraviglia ,absolute crap.
Go at your own costs but be warned , service is shocking, the noise on deck 14 through the ceilings from the food marketplace morning noon evening and late into the night is unbearable .
No sound proofing so all chairs being pulled out by customers to take their seats , tables being moved, trolleys being pushed can all be heard through the ...
We chose this for its itinerary, and it was good. We loved Cahuita Nation Park in Costa Rica. We did tow out of the ay tours in Jamaica, but hit a traffic jam on the way back that messed up our final olans. Captain Roger;s catamaran in Roatan was superb. Tortuguero canal allowed us to see more animals. The private island is surprisingly pleasing. My daughter puts it well: MSC is Carnival for ...
I'm a Voyager program Diamond member and have have been on countless cruises including 3 other times on MSC. I have never been so disappointed and will think twice before booking again.
1) The ship was booked to capacity and felt excessivly overcrowded.
2) There weren't enough lounge chairs or pool space on all decks.
3) The buffet was overcrowded with long lines and limited ...
We have been cruisers for over 15 years. And we love it. This MSC cruise was for our 40th anniversary and since our friends from the UK were going to join us, we thought we would book with a European company since we are originally from Ireland.
This was a huge mistake, and I cannot remember having such a bad experience in all my vacations.
FOOD
The food was mostly cold or lukewarm, ...
Rooms and bathrooms are very small. The food at the buffet was rarely good. Boring and not enough activities. The stores on the ship were very high-end, and it seemed that nobody was shopping there. Everything cost way too much The excursions were not what I expected. The excursion in Jamaica was supposed to be at a resort which was more like lawn chairs on the beach. No resort anywhere to be ...
I was first off all lucky enough for a good friend of mine who had planned to go on holiday with his girlfriend but she unfortunately couldn't make the dates so I was asked to go instead as I had just inherited some money I thought perfect timing I'll get out of my home town and see the other side off the world and next thing you know your at the MSC yacht club signing in desk and that's where the ...
MSC out of Canaveral is Carnival of 30 years ago. The cruise was priced to fill the ship which resulted in a drunken mess the first two days. We are in the Yacht Club area which is MSC’s equivalent to a gated community…thankfully. Most anytime during the day and most anywhere on the ship you encounter rowdy drunks. Absolutely no security anywhere. If you are 20-30 and looking for endless booze ...
We thought we would try MSC since we got a good price and the ship looked beautiful. It is pretty but, hard to get around. None of the rooms for entertainment are big enough for the amount of people on the ship. If you want to go to the theater you have to make a reservation and other entertainment you are lucky to get a seat in. I must say the entertainment in the theater was very good. They ...
We have over 50 cruises under our belts, so we have a good measuring stick. Most troubling is the fact that the ship has had multiple reviews which criticize exactly what our issues are, and they have nothing to correct the issues. The food on ship is likely the worst we have experienced save a Viking river boat cruise. Frankly, it was just about awful. We were in the Yacht Club area and the ...
