This was our first trans Atlantic cruise and our longest (30days Greece to Argentina)
I have Cpap machine and it requires distilled water. Prior to sailing I requested distilled water but that request was not fulfilled. Once on board, I made another request. The medical staff provide 1 liter of distilled water, which may last 5-7 days
Before crossing the Atlantic (6 nights at sea) I ...
Ship was nice. Good layout. Food was good. Bar service was good except for 15th back outside deck. Entertainment was so so. Wifi was TERRIBLE. TV reception was awful. We had a few issues that went unresolved. First we were woken up by maint. workers banging on a pipe before 8a several mornings. I called to complain and guest services said it wasn’t happening. I said come to my room and hear for ...
Overall the ship is in good shape, large but easy to get around once you get the hang of it Having said that, the configuration with many dead-ends and too many reflective surfaces was bewildering. I found the ship lacking in ongoing maintenance, and understaffed. Most of the crew I came across were pleasant and eager to help. However, you can tell apart those that weren’t happy or interested in ...
We are long-time cruisers and decided to take a cruise from Montevideo, Uruguay, South America to Athens. A 24 day one, longer than our usual but the price was very, very low and visited 4 countries we had never been to. The itinerary was great, and stops were largely fascinating and enjoyable. Not so our cruise ship the MSC Musica.
We boarded in Montevideo and had to stand in line (yes ...
I'm a very experienced cruiser, with more than 40 cruises, sailed with all big companies, etc, and cruised before with MSC.
I only bought this Atlantic crossing (Barcelona/Rio de janriro) because i thought was really a good price, US 3000 + 500 US onboard credit for a Suite with Aurea experience.
Check-in were smooth , although in my reservation and MSC app the embarkation time was ...
Firstly I and tens of thousand of others are being 'MIS-SOLD'. The customer is given the opportunity and often pays extra to choose a balcony cabin or similar, only that MSC cannot be bothered to log the details and given a random cabin, yes we are in the computer age. This is a known issue with Cruise Consolidators and happened to us on MSC Seaview in December last year and the Preziosa in April ...
Poor customer service information we were due to start sailing from Venice on 23rd of November 2019, instead we were put on a coach travelled 2.5 hours to Trieste without prior notices
Buffet restaurant not enough capabilities so often have to queue for sitting at breakfast and at lunch. Choice of food poor and not nicely cooked. The buffet restaurant is cramped and if wanted omelette one needs ...
We chose to go on this cruise for a couple of reasons. One reason was we had never been on a Transatlantic Cruise, and two it seemed like a good deal for the amount of time of this cruise.
We booked the cruise back in the Summer and at that time we paid for the Easy Beverage package (which is the low end Alcohol included up to $6.00) and we pre-paid our Gratuities.
When we got on the ship ...
My partner and I spent 20 nights on the south bound transatlantic crossing which sailed from Genoa on 5-11-2019. We (41 and 42) were accompanied by 1 set of parents (64 and 65) and 1 couple who are friends our age. I researched thoroughly before choosing this cruise. Our primary reason to select this journey on MSC Divina was the brilliant itinerary. I read the reviews and noted the negative and ...
Veteran cruiser this was our 5th with MSC. Sadly they seem to be going backwards with Entertainment, food and service.
I gave this review 2 stars, out of the dozen or so cruises I have taken this was by far the least enjoyable.
This is the reason for each star I knocked off.
1. Lets start with entertainment. It was bad, the shows they put on were cheap and the crew performing were poor. ...
