Just OK

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on MSC Poesia

While the ship offered a wonderful itinerary overall the cruise itself was just ok. 14 days out of Barcelona hitting 10 counties was a wonderful draw for us. Boarding was seamless and quick and we basically were able to walk right on and directly to our room. Food was just ok, nothing to rave about but you didn't go hungry. Entertainment was below average, I have seen better at a high school ...

Expensive Wifi sucks

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Poesia

I went on the Northern-cruise with my mom & all over i think it was a great experience & holiday. Nice crew, very interesting places we visited & the food was definetly okay. The only comment i have, that's regarding the wifi. It is very expensive and it works poorly. We've paid +/- 300 euro for 8 days for multiple devices, but the wifi went off most of the time. Without my knowledge my ...

Have done one previous Cruise on Carnival in the Caribbean. My review is thus going to be comparison to that one. Things I liked more about this cruise. They do less announcements as Carnival would be woken up with announcements about going to shore and things going on that day. This one kept announcements to minimum though did take awhile due to being in 5 languages. This could be ...

We enjoyed the places of Port the cruise took, our cabin had a balcony and it was a very nice room, the food was poor and so was the service very unfriendly staff, made the ship experience very unpleasant. Having been on other cruise lines this was the worst experience as it is the service that plays a huge part of the cruising experience. Other than the places of Port i wouldn't taken this line. ...

Probably won’t choose MSC again

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Poesia

We choose this cruise for the itinerary- 9 ports in 11 days including Saint Petersburg. A good sampling of the Baltic’s. The ship is beautiful, the cabin (11006) adequate, the staff mostly good. MSC in general offers poor customer service-no fault of the onboard staff. It started before the cruise with offered then taken away 12 drink vouchers (or use for gelato). It took 3 months and too many ...

We booked this over a year before sailing. MSC would not let us bolt on a couple of days in Venice and the return flight home was too early to have an excursion, so sadly we did not get chance to go into Venice, although you did get to see the edge of it on the sail away. I also had to chase the flight details and paperwork information a couple of weeks before departure as I had not received ...

Convenient to see as many countries as possible in short time

The boat is very neat. Our cabins were clean and more than enough space. The people cleaning our cabin was very friendly and helpful. Buffett meals were very nice. And all that you need. More than enough food even between meals were food served. The entertainment staff was entertaining and friendly. Biggest disappointment for us was people working as bar staff on the pool deck. After a hot day ...

Not as bad as some reviews might suggest

We made the mistake of booking the cruise before checking out reviews. Had we read the reviews first we would likely have booked with another cruise line. Having said that, our experience was not as bad as other reviews might lead you to believe. We've previously cruised with both Tui and Royal Caribbean, and it's clear that MSC isn't quite up to that standard. Embarkation was a little ...

A seriously discounted trip with the plus - for me- of no days at sea. On boarding the ship the only concern was to sell passengers packages - no directions to cabin. Get to right corridor then directed down to Guest Services, considerable queue, at desk told to go to cabin, do so , queue again. Got a handshake from a Frenchman for helping him avoid our mistakes . First stop Bari - well worth a ...

A decent cruise but with flaws

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Poesia

My wife and I primarily chose this cruise for the ports and excursions, knowing full well that it got mediocre reviews, since it seemed to be the most cost-effective way to see all the different places that it visited. And from that perspective, it definitely delivered. As for the cruise itself, it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. It was the third cruise we've ever been on (the ...
