Horrible Cruise and Horrible Customer Service DO NOT GO!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Poesia

Problems we had: 1. We were never told that the cruise was being renting out by a group. The group was Cruise to the Edge. Instead of leaving entertainment for those that weren't there to see that, the ship catered to them and left nothing for everyone else to do. We are 29 and 30 years old and old rock is not our style. We were expecting to see shows and stay busy and instead we just wanted ...

Cruise to the Edge? Of what? Hell?

I just got back from the WORST cruise experience of a lifetime aboard MSC. They booked a half charter to a group called "Cruise To the Edge" that included entertainment by rock groups including heavy metal Zebra. The ship had over 400 children on board for spring break but they CANCELLED all regular evening theatre entertainment so the charter group could have exclusive use of the theatre. The ...

We booked a romantic cruise and got a heavy metal cruise!

We booked our cruise with cruise.com in July 2011 and persuaded 6 of our friends to join us. At no time were we informed by cruise.com or the cruise line it was a heavy metal themed cruise called 'Shiprocked'. One couple who accompanied us had never cruised, were in their late 60's and celebrating a special anniversary. We were so embarrassed standing in line with them surrounded by heavy metal ...

Never again on the Poesia, (or any MSC ship for that matter)

Just returned from two weeks in the Caribbean on the Poesia. Never again. I will mention that some of what I'll write below was common discussion fodder with many, if not the majority of the people we spend time with on board, but these are my personal experiences. I'm a relatively new cruiser, only 4 previous cruises under my belt, all with Holland America, and I'll stick with ...

We sailed the MSC Poesia between Xmas and New Years and I can only say that it will be a holiday that I will never forget....so I therefore will never make the mistake of sailing with MSC again. We were with a group of 19 extended family members. Let me try to say a few positives: Cabin Stewards were nice and helpful when around, and the rooms and common areas were very clean. Great ...

What should have been a great relaxing family Christmas cruise was ruined by this company. Yes I read the reviews! Clean ship so so food and cheap. How bad could it be? I've been to 5 star and 2 star resorts, No star camping in the mud. I'm not that hard to please. I started calling MSC Florida office well before I left home. Fixing problems with booking rooms, names, birth dates, ...

This was our 17th cruise. We have been on RCL, HAL, NCL, Celebrity, CCL, and Costa. Until this trip I thought "who in the world could complain about a cruise?" Well, I found out. MSC did a lot of things right. The Poesia is the most beautiful ship I have ever been on. Everyone comments on how clean it is. Since all the ships I have been on were very clean, it is hard to imagine without seeing ...

Good cruise to lose weight

I lost weight on this cruise as the only food I really found etable were oatmeal and salads. We went with an open mind beause we knew this was a "eurapean style" cruise.Unfortunately, if Europeans are happy with this cruise then they have never been on a really good one. The ship is beautiful, the staterooms are nice, and the cabin stewards are good. This is about the best it gets. They really ...

First Time....and Last!

All we were looking forward to for month was our first cruise on MSC Poesia for the New Year! Embarkation was a smooth sailing and the Port Everglades Staff made us feel more than welcome. Little did we know, those smiles from staff members were the last ones we would see for a week! The Poesia is a beautiful, very clean ship with our cabin and storage leaving little to be desired. However, first ...
