This was my sixth cruise, but first on MSC, and it was Mark's first ever cruise. We flew from Baltimore to Fort Lauderdale the day of the cruise, and arrived about 2:30. We took a cab to Port Everglades and were there in about 10 minutes. Embarkation: Embarkation was very quick. There was no line by then, and after a quick picture, we were on the ship. We dropped our carry-ons in our ...

I am a seasoned cruiser and have cruised most of the mass market lines. I was attracted to MSC because of the value rates offered for single travelers. Yes, I did this one solo! Being alone I would be able to see all the negativity that you all are talking about, without worrying about someone else. Two weeks before the cruise I found a singles group of 33 members sailing together and I ...

Ship: Ship was immaculate, well done, well pointed, luxurious, clean and was cleaned everyday; amenities were top notch, decor high level Food: Exceptional. The buffet was half Italian and half American. The Italian was exceptional, Pizza was fantastic. The american buffet was very good but the Italian was over the top. They also had a childrens buffet which was perfect for my younger kids. The ...

My wife and I recently returned from our 7-day cruise on the MSC Poesia (sailed 4/6/13). It was our second journey on MSC, (the first one being on its sister ship, the Orchestra), and truly one of the best cruising experiences we've had in recent years. Our trip started on a sour note, unfortunately. We had booked the cruise through MSC's own travel agents. Although we were not able to use our ...

My family and I have sailed many times before, but this was our first MSC experience! Firstly, embarkation... Embarkation was quick and efficient, we got to the port at around 11 and were on the boat having lunch in no time!! Our rooms were ready right away which was really nice!! Next, food... The food met, but not exceeded our expectations. The buffet lacked snack foods, but had some good ...

After reading all the negative reviews and comments, I was a bit apprehensive about what my booked cruise would be like. Wonderful Cruise!!!! Staff was friendly and tried to help me with whatever issues or questions I had. The cabin crew was great and responded to any questions or requests I had, like extra pillows etc. The dining room staff was professional and extremely friendly and ...

As a first-time cruiser, I have to say that MSC not only met but highly exceeded my expectations! I was worried about all the negative reviews I'd read before I booked with them but I never encountered anything less than exceptional during my stay. From the moment we hopped aboard, we were greeted with welcoming, friendly staff. Our room assistant, Claude was very sweet and polite. Our room ...

We chose to sail on MSC because my father-in-law wanted to take a theme cruise. He saw a commercial for a Polka cruise with Jimmy Sturr. My in-laws will not cruise unless my husband and I go with them, so we thought why not? I had actually never even heard of MSC cruises before this. So of course, I went straight to my computer and Cruise Critic to start my research on the MSC Poesia. I was ...

Tom and I enjoyed the cruise very much. We had a great Christmas on board. We were a group of 12 ranging from 3-64. Everyone enjoyed themselves very much and are anticipating this coming Christmas onboard. We were invited to a vow renewal that took place on board on Christmas Eve. and once again the Hospitality Staff went above and beyond the call of duty. Our dinner waiter was Sudarmika ...
