We found our side-by-side aft-facing balcony cabins comfortable and thoughtfully appointed with a fair amount of storage, European and American outlets, and a double trundle bed sofa that could be separated for two kids. The balcony seemed about twice as deep as side facing staterooms. We also enjoyed a panoramic view of everything the ship had passed so we did not worry if we had missed something memorable out of view on the other side. Along with the bow camera broadcast on the television, we could see everything. This was a trade-off with noise from being over one of the main lounges and mechanical vibration from below. The vibration seemed mostly noticeable when the sea was rough or there was significant maneuvering. Noise and vibration was usually not significant enough to wake most of us up once asleep. Unpacking once for a visit to 4 countries was great. Read Less

Great size, a little larger than most I’ve been on in the past. Well presented in furniture comfort and colour scheme. A kettle would have been nice. Being at the back of the ship a little bit of vibration but nothing to bad.

Cabin 11167 is a balcony room, typical of most others on that deck. There are no rooms across the hallway, so there is little passing foot traffic or slamming of doors, making this a nice, peaceful retreat. The room only has 1 sitting chair with a small movable table. There is also a desk and two nightstands with lamps. A large floor-to-ceiling mirror is at the foot of the bed. The TV screen is tiny (only 18” wide). Movies are 7 euros pay-per-view. There is a nice-sized mini-fridge with room to keep your own water bottles. The bathroom has liquid soaps only, and oddly, no washcloths are provided. On the balcony there are two chairs, plus a bulky footstool that always seemed to be in the way. A small side table would be more useful. The lifeboats are visible 3 decks below the balcony. Towel animals every day are a staple on other cruise lines, but apparently MSC doesn't do it. It's a small thing, but it's something we missed. Read Less

Absolutely fine - and although we would have liked a kettle we took insulated mugs and one of us filled them at the buffet restaurant every morning so that we could still have tea in bed.

Ship – the ship, MSC Poesia, was beautiful, very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Our balcony cabin on Deck 9 was clean, tidy and well equipped. The housekeeping team looking after us were excellent, clean towels every day, whether we asked for them or not, and the cabin itself was perfectly adequate for our needs. The ship has many lovely bars (most of which we didn’t really visit) and & beautiful Theatre. Read Less

Clean and well presented. The shower was small and the curtain anoying. The bathroom did at times got a bit smelly, and THANKFULLY I had a balcony, as the room was very small. Especially round by the wardrobe and bathroom doors. A kettle would be nice. I had no towels folded into animals.... which is always a nice touch! The mirror was way to large and in the wrong place to stand in front of for a full length dress view. Read Less

Cabin presented OK but small in comparison to other lines. Drawers in wardrobe were narrow.
