Somewhat stressful and chaotic

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Orchestra

1. Room - got upgraded to balcony room on deck 12. We were very well looked after by the housekeeping staff. These are the real heroes by the way - 14 hour days and away from home for several months in probably a fairly low wage. 2. Stop offs - understaffed especially to re-embark. Long queues and very frustrated under supported staff. If weather had been bad would have been horrendous ...

Will start off by saying we really wanted to enjoy this cruise. Had booked it for my wife's 50th, based purely on having seen MSC boats about, and they always looked quite glamorous, and something a little different from the UK cruise lines we've cruised with before. Wasn't a budget cruise, it seems good value for the basic cruise but by the time you add in the flights, transfers, premium drinks, ...

Why did we choose MSC Orchestra. We had booked on the new MSC Europa ex Dubai to Europe, its maiden voyage but changed as the Orchestra itinerary from South Africa to Italy was what attracted us at it included a 10 day visit & safari within South Africa including visits to Johannesburg, Cape Town & Durban. The overall value offer was very good. It’s the little things that make the ...

We are currently on this excuse of a boat that you call a cruise ship "Cabin *81**" Previously we have travelled with Holland America, Celebrity, Carnival, Royal Caribbean and P & O Examples Dinner Ordered dinner and the vegetables were raw when we queried the head waiter he blamed the server The menu, well I hope your not paying the head chef a decent wage because he is not dishing ...

Tropical beach break from Durban . Nice roomy cabin on 15 th deck cleaned and quality linen with excellent TV and wide range of DSTV channels and bar refilled daily. Issues are restricted to Durban embarkation nightmare where passengers herded into enclosed tent for so called COVID document checks yet if ever this was a high risk viral vest pool in 40 degree heat with zero air most passengers did ...

This is the worst cruise line we've ever been on

We chose this 10 day cruise solely because we had never visited 6 of the 8 destinations and it had been some years since we had visited the other two. As we were going to be travelling as part of a group, the price for an outside balcony cabin was good. THE CABIN - Size was as expected. We had an additional sofa bed in our cabin, other members of our group only had an armchair which is not ...

Never again with MSC

The ship was old and dated but perfectly comfortable in the public lounges and cabin and the crew were lovely but that’s just about where the positives end. Unfortunately the food onboard was the worst I have experienced. This was our first time with MSC out of almost 20 cruises with various companies and we have never experienced such poor quality dining. There seemed to be a distinct lack of ...

We have just finished our Mediterranean cruise and had time to reflect on it. It was a multiple embarkation trip with passengers coming and going on a daily basis and at this time of the year there were many families with young children. Overall, having been on many MSC cruises including two in 2021 we were very disappointed with this cruise. I am sure that the Covid pandemic and the need to take ...

Bad experience overall and that is too bad for them, we are displeased of the msc, never again! Its like they don't care or have a verry bad management. The AC in the room can't be put to off, we were constantly in the freezer and waking with pain in the neck or in the middle of the night not able to breath thr the nose. The food is mediocre and just a few sortiments. The stuff not so wellcoming ...

We joined the cruise with friends. Just a weekend away ... and wanted to relax and have some fun. Everything is extremely overpriced. As we were paying in the region of R2000 pppn... we do expect quality. We paid for ALL our photos and got home to find most missing .. we were shocked. They were already horrendously overpriced.. then missing loads. The staff were obviously ...
