Very good ship and crew

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Opera

In May we spent a week in the Mediterranean on MSC Opera and we had a fabulous time. The ship is considered small and a bit old for the modern standards, but it was faultless! Extremely well kept, shiny clean and all the crew was amazing, hard-working people. We stayed in internal cabin on deck 9 in the middle of the ship, we felt almost no motion. Cabin was kept immaculate by our cabin steward. ...

During 28.04.2022 I was on a cruise on the MSC ship with the name of OPERA. We were very impressed with everything there was: the staff were kind and well trained .... ARDIKA served us in the restaurant at table 516 and together with his assistant they were at the height offering us services at the highest and select level (very well trained, gentlemen, welcoming and understanding, with healthy ...

This was our first cruise and we were naturally a little apprehensive about how we would cope with such a long time on board. Our fears were allayed considerably by the friendliness, courtesy and efficiency of the staff. The ship was immaculate at all times and the hard work put in by the crew was unobtrusive. The accommodation was most acceptable. The food interesting and tasty as well as ...

It was always my wife and myself's wish to go on a boat cruise but unfortunately there was always something that prevented us from going. We just decided that come what may we will do it this year. Then there was the thought of whether to take the kids as my youngest is special needs. We took the kids and I don't think I made a mistake as the activities cater for everyone's needs and was ...

We did the Durban / Madagascar / Portuguese Islands 7 day cruise. Unfortunately couldn't get off for the Islands. Enjoyed the cruise so much that we are going again in April to see if we can get onto the Islands. This was by far our best holiday ever. Can't wait for April 2016. Service was superb and friendly. Although we do think you could do with more service on the pool deck during ...

Had a Blast!

I booked this cruise as a surprise for my Mum as friends of ours had done this route the year before (different ship) and had so much fun so were doing it again in 2015. I have to start by saying that I was one of those people who said that I've got no interest in going on a cruise, mainly because I am a very independent traveller and did not like the idea of being 'trapped' in one place with ...

This was our 3rd Cruise and the 2'nd on the MSC Opera. At embarkation in Durban we were greeted with such friendly, cheerful and helpfull staff, we really felt at home and could not wait to go to our cabin. This time around we wanted a cabin with a few and really enjoyed the view. We are Bingo players and to start of our holiday my husband won the bingo on the first day. We enjoyed sitting ...

MSC Opera - Captain, ship and staff - take a bow! Wow, I have just disembarked from the Opera in Durban (trip from Cape Town) Wow MSC have certainly upped the ante. I cannot rave enough about the ship, the staff, the food, the facilities, the improved boarding and disembarking procedures. I have been on just about every MSC ship that has been in Durban over many years and sailed on a ship from a ...

We did not know what to expect and were so wonderfully surprised that from the moment we stepped on board till we disembarked we had a fabulous time. From the cabin to the food to the entertainment everything was so well organised and such a lovely surprise. We cannot wait to go on another cruise this time hopefully on the Meditteranean run. We were especially astounded regarding the amount of ...
