I was a solo traveller. This cruise was a great opportunity to explore countries I would never get the opportunity to experience. Levels 5 and 6 need to be redesigned. There is not enough room for passengers to sit and relax. I will not sit on the floor. There was some very popular entertainment evenings where it was standing room only or sitting on the floor. We took advantage of a last minute special offer MSC were offering about 2 weeks prior to sailing. We received our Schengen visas the day before we set sail. MSC offered a fly land cruise deal from Australia. We had 2 nights at a game lodge in Kruger National Park, 2 nights at Victoria Falls and 2 nights in Cape Town before joining the ship. The cruise left from beautiful Cape Town - but then I'm biased as I live there. The embarkation process was smooth and quick. The ship has recently been refurbished and it was very clean.
