Never Again!

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

It was the only cruise boarding and disembarking from Piraeus at that date. First the positives. 1. Room service was very good. The room was cleaned twice per day. The whole ship kept very clean. 2. Crew was very professional always eager to assist and always smiling. Except Reception desk officers! 3. The shows in the huge Theater were excellent. It was clear that all the artists put ...

First and Last MSC Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

I've been on about 50 cruises on all the major lines, and this was my first and last cruise with MSC. The itinerary was great and unique, so I had to try it, but I didn't realize the stepdown in quality compared to Royal and Princess and the other major brands. The food was not good. We tried the sit down dinners twice, and they were very slow and every single item was terrible, so we just had ...

Poor customer service information we were due to start sailing from Venice on 23rd of November 2019, instead we were put on a coach travelled 2.5 hours to Trieste without prior notices Buffet restaurant not enough capabilities so often have to queue for sitting at breakfast and at lunch. Choice of food poor and not nicely cooked. The buffet restaurant is cramped and if wanted omelette one needs ...

Cruising with small children and infants

We chose MSC cruises based on their "family friendly" policies and although the reviews weren't great we were willing to give it a go. I have previously cruised with many other lines, however these were all pre-children and so i was interested to see if this was going to be a good way to travel with a small child. I will state that not all my findings were within MSC's control and some ...

I will not cruise with this line or ship again the staff were rude as was the service in general, the food was not good and the entertainment was even worse, there were only three staff members that were worthy of note, a girl named Anne Carolina Silvera our table waiter called Muliaty and the cabin person (cannot remember his name), they were helpful and did their job amicably and all received a ...

Terrible Embarkation

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

This was my 50th birthday treat. Unfortunately the embarkation was terrible. We were made to wait 2.5 hours in the terminal (felt like cattle shed) before boarding (no organisation just all gathered like being at a concert) Compared to other cruise liners this was disgraceful. Staff on board were not that friendly to start with and I think they had so many complaints they had to make an effort, ...

Average at best, terrible disembarkation and embarkation processes. Front desk and customer services dont care and on ship and off have done nothing to address my concerns. Cannot gte anyone in customer services to even respond now. Have your money, see you later. Ship is clearly old, cramped cabins, shower horrendous. Entertainment and waiter staff only good thing. Told me had to adhere to smart ...

Bad cruise schedule and service

I have chosen the cruise by mistake. If you are interested in the short Mediterranean cruise from Venice select the Norwegian. MSC cruise was very badly scheduled - we had almost no time in Myconas, few hours in Santorini and a lot of time in the least interesting place, Ancona. The service was really bad, I had to ask for several simple thinks, like the safe repair, for days. All simple snacks ...

Room steward told me it was a problem with the grout

Disappointed with MSC and state of cabin. Asked steward to bleach shower floor as covered in mould but he said it was a problem with the grout. Looked and smelled like mould and needed a good scrub. They also definitely need more staff to serve in bars and to clear tables. Tables are always left with plates and food and you have to call the staff over to clean your table. Was told in one ...

Not impressed by MSC. The worst food ever...

I chose this cruise because it was suggested by our travel agent in the USA. We truly regret not having read the reviews of this cruise ship before our trip. The ship is the oldest of the fleet. Common areas are remodeled but the rooms (at least our inside cabin), were old. The ship is not that big so there are not that many amenities. Theatre performances are average. Variety of music is OK ...
