Best Itinerary for a Baltic Cruise!

After search for a cruise around the Baltic, we found this one and choose it for the best itinerary (it visited more ports than cruises offered by other cruise lines) and for the incredible price (less than 1000 euros per passenger). I had cruised on MSC Opera in Brazil few years ago, before its stretchening and renewal. I love this ship for its size (perfect - not so large like a floating ...

As we were going to be in Copenhagen we thought we should do something from there. 3 days in Copenhagen was great and the HOHO(Hop on hop off Bus) was great to get around. The 3 day pass seemed a bit dear but when you consider we got 2 free beers at Carlsberg Brewery and on our last day you could take your bags on the HOHO and when you got off at the mermaid(forget her name) they transported ...

They need to take some cabins out and add to the buffet in all ways!

Great shows...I am starting off positive but there were some things that were not so good. The buffet has too many tables and people cannot walk through the room; this is probably because the ship has too many cabins! Breakfast and lunch are chaotic! Many tours are cancelled. I had 5 cancel on us! The gym had not enough cardio equipment; this means you could do the restricted limit but ...

Great itinerary and great weather

We chose this cruise for its extensive itnerary (and affordable cost). Out of 11 days we had only one day at sea. From Australia we flew into Berlin to experience this fascinating city for a few days and then we took the train from there to Warnemuende. We were keen to explore the Baltic, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. We were extremely lucky with the weather. Europe enjoyed an exceptionally ...

This was our first cruise and picked the ship for its Ports and Price (Having two kids 11 and 6 is was way cheaper than other cruise lines.) We had a brilliant holiday and we would not hesitate to use MSC again. Embarkations and Disembarkation was fast and stress free.On way into ship we didn't wait longer than 20 mins and coming off was a breeze ... we just strolled off. The ship was ...

A good middle of the road option

I chose MSC because they were going to unique ports of call that many others were not in Northern Europe. The ports of call were Gdynia (Poland), Klapedia (Lithuania), Riga (Latvia), Tallin (Estonia), St. Petersburg (Russia), Helsinki (Finland), Stockholm (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Warnemunde (Germany.) The cruise was on the MSC Opera. I had read many reviews prior to sailing but could ...

We took an 11 day cruise out of Southampton to Northern Europe on the Opera ship. We booked a suite and it was roomy, it even had a walking closet, which was great. The ship, which is about 14 years is and has never been updated was fine. Personnel did a great job keeping in clean and in good shape. Overall, the services were not disappointing, however dinner (main dining was) was. Out of the 10 ...

MSC OPERA - NOT PERFECT, BUT GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY

We are British and in our sixties.  This was our 18th cruise; the 9th with MSC. We have always enjoyed the cosmopolitan experience that is indicative of this Italian line. The main national groups on this cruise were British, Dutch, German, Italian, French, Spanish & Portuguese. The multi-national aspect does not bother us, apart from the tedium of public announcements in 6 languages! This was our ...

Fantastic Cruise...Ignore Bad Reviews

I read so many bad reviews before I went that I was dreading going. ALL I CAN SAY IS, WERE THESE PEOPLE ON A DIFFERENT CRUISE SHIP! Embarkation was very straightforward and well organised, and there was 750 embarking in Southampton. Ship was very clean and well maintained and staff where constantly working to keep standards. Cabin was spotless, fresh towels everyday and constantly being asked by ...

Never again on MSC

We chose this cruise as a prelude to an extended vacation in England since it conveniently sailed out of Southampton. This was our first and last experience with MSC cruises! We have sailed over thirty times on most of the large cruise lines and have to say that our voyage on the MSC Opera was our worst cruise experience. While we found the service, condition of the ship and entertainment to be ...
