This was our first trans Atlantic cruise and our longest (30days Greece to Argentina)
I have Cpap machine and it requires distilled water. Prior to sailing I requested distilled water but that request was not fulfilled. Once on board, I made another request. The medical staff provide 1 liter of distilled water, which may last 5-7 days
Before crossing the Atlantic (6 nights at sea) I ...
MAIN RESTAURANT :
THE FOOD WAS WELL BELOW AVERAGE,TWICE THE BEEF WE ORDERED WAS HARD AND CHEWY,
They had for main courses every day pasta (with no meats) and rissoto. The indian butter chicken it was a shame for the indian cooking!!
In general, the food was tasteless,no imagination.
it is true that we were spoiled by all other cruise companies (royal ...
I chose this cruise because MSC is a “famous” cruise company.
Too many mistakes in one single cruise experience.
1) overcrowded
2) crew is not properly trained to serve too many people
3) Pre booked drink package are not in the system so they asked a proof that I bought it in advance, and even after it, I didn’t get the preciously deal price
4) Reception team does not have ...
We are long-time cruisers and decided to take a cruise from Montevideo, Uruguay, South America to Athens. A 24 day one, longer than our usual but the price was very, very low and visited 4 countries we had never been to. The itinerary was great, and stops were largely fascinating and enjoyable. Not so our cruise ship the MSC Musica.
We boarded in Montevideo and had to stand in line (yes ...
We were guided by our Cruise company to book this one as it fitted the dates and they said it was a good itinerary and lovely ship.
The departure city, Venice is breath taking and it is worth spending time having a look around or booking an extra night before or after, but be careful where you stay as lugging suitcases around Venice over bridges is not easy.
The Ship, looked nice until you ...
We choose this cruise due to travel dates and destinations.
However if I’d known the minimal standard of this ship I would of seemed alternative options.
On embarking it was chaos it clearly states on boarding papers that it commences at 11.30am. However didn’t get on board till 2.30pm. No crew took charge provided any updates.
On board it clearly states where smoking is allowed and ...
Have you ever been to a buffet where the labels are in place, promising tasty treats and then you find that all the food is already gone? That is how this MSC cruise felt in most respects. There is definitely potential and in better hands this could be a great cruise, but MSC and its employees just turns this into a bad experience.
Embarkation in Venice was slow. There is a shuttle bus from ...
From the beginning things were terrible. Our cruise cards were not correct. We had the drink package and they put it on the card wrong. So we had to go the guest services to correct all three cabins cards. Then you have to wait in line to activate your card with a credit card. Why not do this at embarkation like other cruise lines. Cabin bed was not put together like on reservation. Another ...
We have recently returned from the MSC Musica repositioning cruise from Durban South Africa to Venice. We have cruised with MSC previously so are perfectly aware of some of their 'foibles'. The main reason we chose this cruise was for the wonderful itinerary - we visited Reunion, Mauritius, The Seychelles, Aqaba, Suez Canal Transit, Katakolon, Kotor & Split.
We had hoped that over the years ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, embarking in Venice and sailing through the Suez Canal, disembarking in Durban Sth Africa.
There was a long 7 days at sea and unlike other cruises we have been on, there were very few interesting activities to keep the passengers occupied. They seemed to think everyone would just want to lay by the swimming pool, which many of the European ...
