I have just returned from a cruise of the Southern Caribbean on the Musica and will not recommend MSC to anyone. That was my ninth 9th cruise( the first on MSC) and most of the staff was not friendly. On boarding there was no welcome drink. The food was too salty and oily which resulted in a spike of my BP. The ship Dr. was quite charming but the cost of the visit was 80 Euros that is $560.00 TT ...
First of all ,I have to say that the stuff was so kind and friendly..I became a friend with some of them :)
The cruise was amazing,my cabinn had a balcon with the magic view..but i spend a little time in it because you have so much things to do such as drinking coctails, sunbathing, swimming, going in the theatre, eating, going in gym,disco..
I fell in love with the guy from my group and that's ...
We are from the US.... Maine, specifically. We've been on Carnival & Norwegian and have been to the other islands before on other cruises.
THIS WAS BY FAR OUR BEST CRUISE EXPERIENCE!!!!
After reading the reviews posted on this site, we had reservations and concerns, but we figured that there are over 3000 on the ship EVERY week and there's a little over a hundred reviews on this ship over the ...
This was our first cruise in while (last one to Tahiti).W got back home late afternoon yesterday. It was nice to get away but not sure I would cruise with them again. The ship was nice, clean and the staff very attentive, but very hard to get information from the reception desk or issues addressed.
However I think first off we picked the wrong ternary, as we have been to most of those places ...
We are seasoned travelers and cruisers. We wanted a break from the standard ports and mega-ships. Embarking from the Dominican Republic and visiting Martinique, the British Virgin Islands, and Guadeloupe as well as some of our favorite ports piqued our interest.
Our usual travel agents said they didn't book with MSC, we were wary, so we read reviews and researched all we could about the ship. The ...
I was probably on the same sailing as BobK1 since we didn't disembark at Tortola which was a huge deception for me...
That said I've to say I was pleasantly surprised with the ship. The cabin was big and well maintained, always clean and saw they cleaning public spaces often. Christian from Honduras did a great job cleaning my cabin!
I didn't had any problem with the French or Italian on the ...
Sailed Feb.9 to 16th for the first ever cruise, lovely ship and cabin. the itinerary was absolutely perfect, enjoyed every bit of the time spent off ship on the various islands. Dining was elegant and comfortable thanks to the wait staff that spoke ENGLISH and were happy and pleasant.
Two of our four shore excursions that where pre-booked were canceled, with no apology. Embarkation seemed to be ...
We have been on about 15 cruises, but first with MSC so we know what we are doing.
I really dont know where to begin, but on a positive side the check in went well, but to many small steps to take and it wasnt all computerized, luggage to the cabin was quick, the ship was nice and all of the staff that we dealt with were very good.
Now the issues: Almost everything on this ship was catering to ...
This was my first time on MSC and experiencing the "European Style" of cruising. I arrived in Santo Domingo a day early and did a half-day tour of it the day of the cruise, as the ship didn't leave until 11pm I think. Embarkation is a complete nightmare. I got to the port about 1pm, but was told they don't board until 3pm. You then sit (if you can get a seat) and people that show up 2 hours later ...
We are 2 persons and have done 10 cruises the last past 7 years.
We decided to do the MSC Musica and booked for December 2013. In general the whole ship was very loud, lots of children and despite the ships name is "musica" there was almost no music on board. Normally food is excellent on a cruise ship but I never had a good meal at night. Lot of French passengers and I really wondered that food ...
