Crowds and Noise! Making It Hard To Justify MSC At Any Price

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Musica

My wife, teenaged daughter, and I just returned from a seven-day cruise aboard the MSC Musica. We departed Copenhagen, with ports of call in Stockholm, Tallinn, St. Petersburg, and Kiel. This was our third sailing with MSC, having been aboard the Divina and the Musica’s twin -- the Opera -- previously. As with all of our previous MSC sailings, we went in with eyes wide open in terms of ...

We chose because of ports of cal.,.worst cruise ever and we have been on many. This ship squeezes a dime out of every nickle. Food was below hospital quality...small amounts and the buffet was every man and woman for themselves, even the waiters will knock you out of the way, MSC needs to retrain their staff, 80 % are just ok, the other 20% have a very bad attitude. We have been on over 12 ...

Poor Experience; MSC is a BUDGET cruise line.

MSC Musica departs from the Port of Kiel during the summer of 2016. Our cruise was one that took us on the Baltic Sea to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn and St Petersburg. Embarkation was a smooth process - MSC offers a free transfer service from the Hauptbahnhof for those who arrive Kiel by rail. Disembarkation was a little less smooth, as the sprawling queue for Customs went out of the ...

this was our second choice as our original was cancelled. Living on the continent it was easy to travel by train to Keil in north Germany to start the cruise. This was our fourth cruise with MSC and we were satisfied, as always by the reception we received at the dock. Cases were whisked away and soon we were sitting having a drink, on board. The cabin was pretty spacious, bed comfortable, all ...

The food on the MSC Musica was terrible. No variety and tasteless. The food was several times served not hot, even during dinner. The lunch buffet was a straight disaster. I travelled solo and each time I want to get something from the buffet, my place was taken by some others. It was way too crowded, never find a place to sit on my own, always had to share with other people. It felt more like a ...

Msc musica...beautiful ship with all the works, plenty of bars, casino, pools, large cabins and very clean and spacious decks. The cabin staff and the dining room staff could not be faulted. All were very proficient and helpful and professional at all times. We took the cruise from Kiel around to Venice and found that most of the ports were good. We had a problem with Ferrol in Spain, but have ...

Our cruise was widely promoted in Australia as The Grand European Cruise. In fact, it was broken down into 4 separate journeys, starting and finishing in Kiel or Vienna, and catering for different nationalities. Consequently, the longer-term passengers had to endure repetitive evening entertainment, with the same routines catering for an Italian audience and with no options (e.g even when cabin ...

MSC Musica ... a pleasant surprise

We have just returned from our first MSC cruise. We took the 7-day Baltic cruise out of Copenhagen on MSC Musica. After reading all of the unpleasant reviews about MSC on this site, my husband opted to stay home so my 17 yr old daughter and I traveled alone. Although not on par with Celebrity (our favorite), MSC was on par with Royal Carribbean. Most all procedures onboard with the exception of ...

My advice; Stay away from MSC Cruises!

Where to start?! First of all embarkation was awful. We were waiting and waiting for embarkation in Copenhagen very long in cold terminal without heating. When we put step on this ship for first time, no welcome from anyone. We just embarked like we are back from excursion. Went to room first, there was no soap and toilet paper in bathroom, and after using a shower, we saw water stain in room ...
