Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Grandiosa

After two years without vactions due to Covid. I Booked through an online agent MSC Grandiosa last february 2023. Big mistake, but wasn’t yet aware of that. I made sure to inform that my son is autistic, no one took care of that, long lines, not quiet tables. Nothing. The service, waiters, room service were great. The people in the reception (5th deck) were just incompetent. 3 times I ...

Horrible experience

We are presently on this cruise and am appalled by the operations. They disembark and embark in every port. What this means is that the Marketplace is impossible to maneuver in the morning with people wanting their last meal and others trying to get a meal before going on an excursion. No seats in dining area so you need to eat on lounge chair by pool. They also hold muster drills everyday so ...

Chose this cruise to try and sample MSC. Price was good. The ship was stunning but that’s about all that was. Below is mainly cons but there are some pros. In a nutshell we do not feel MSC stack up against any previous cruises we’ve done. As soon as we got on the ship I felt as if we were being attacked by staff trying to sell us meal and drink upgrades. It was a real hassle. The service ...

No proper control, especially regarding Covid despite MSC proclaiming how careful they are.

We will start by saying that we have been cruising for 25 years therefore we know what to expect. We joined the boat in Barcelona and arrived at the port at our scheduled time of 3pm. MSC said for us to arrive on time so as to avoid long awaits. We do not know what MSC understands to be a long wait but it took us three hours to get aboard. During this time we stood in countless queues ...

I started planning that vacation 5 months before it left port. The first time I heard that we could not get off the ship unless we had MSC excursions planned was at dinner the first night. I literally have been on the MSC website almost daily for MONTHS and did not hear of such a rule. I planned an excursion for every port on our vacation and had to cancel (which we lost a massive amount of money ...

I am a very seasoned cruiser with 94 cruises behind me. We booked this cruise five days before sailing as we were supposed to be on the Crystal Debussy that was cancelled because of the Netherlands closing down. So not wanting to stay home for another holiday season we went on the Grandiosa. We boarded in Marseille which is not a very accommodating port for moving your luggage. There are no ...

This post is my honest open account of our holiday 23-30th October on MSC Grandiosa. There were 4 adults one with a disability and 2 children aged 5 and 2. 2x balcony rooms not connected both Fantastica. We have sailed with MSC once before. We went to celebrity and came back to MSC. Sharing this as I want readers to understand we’ve been on MSc pre covid and have that to bench this ...

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in cruise

There are many staffs working with attitude. Very lack of passion. They seems like they are doing a job that they hate. Very horrible customer service especially in buffet area. Staffs are not even smiling and serve you without saying a word or response. There are many staffs covering buffet area. Bar service staffs focus on selling drinks than doing other jobs. For e.g. they can't even get you ...

Like many people have mentioned about MSC ships - BEAUTIFUL SHIP, POOR EXPERIENCE. Let's start with the Pro: - very clean - excellent gym equipment - great stage/entertainment, top notch. - great design now the Cons: - no one knows the true answer to your questions. Wondering how your meal package works? Well you'll learn it through trial and error, just make sure you ask ...

The ship was absolutely beautiful. The elevator system was exceptionally efficient. For us this cruise was not a good value. We feel we overpaid for what we experienced. The Buffett was always nightmarishly overcrowded. The food quality was excellent though. The Loggia restaurant was very good. Our waiter and his assistant were very professional and caring. The cruise did not show enough ...
