Not Great!

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Europe - Western Mediterranean

First time travelling with MSC and will most likely be the last unless there are changes. Let's start with the positives, the ship looks great, it's very clean and the majority of the staff are lovely even when they have to deal with a lot of rude customers! The paid 2 circus shows on board are worth the money but why do we have to pay for this? BBC1/BBC2/ITV on the cabin TV was a nice ...

Fun NYE Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

I just read a review that was very long, so I'll try to be concise. This was a 7 day New Year's Eve sailing out of Le Havre (Paris) with stops at Southampton, Hamburg, Zebrugge, and Rotterdam. Because this was a holiday sailing, the ship was at full capacity, with over 6,300 passengers. For some reason, there were a lot of children on board. Pre-Cruise: Spent 3 nights in Paris, which we ...

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE LOW PRICE !!!!!

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

Chose this Xmas cruise as SOLO price was less than £800. A bargain especially as it was leaving from Southampton.... BUT these MSC ships are nothing but glorified WATER TAXIS. VERY POSH SHIPS, but taxis all the same. . Pick-up and drop-off at every port !!!!! People fighting to board at each port of call, whilst daytrippers are fighting to get off !!! If you can stand the jabber of so many ...

I booked this cruise for a treat for my sister daughter and grandson to go to the Christmas Markets. I have done over 80 cruises in the past but decided to book this ship as taking 6 year old. After reading the reviews I was a little apprehensive but was pleasantly surprised. Cabin great and shower amazing. Tea and coffee facilities. Very comfy beds. Great value for money and only bumped ...

I am a regular cruiser with RCI & PO. This is my first and last time with MSC. This can't be classed as a cruise. Its just a awfully run ferry. Cons - No soul -Same food every night in the buffet -Staff have CANT do attitude -Safety doesn't seem Important to MSC. (Seen with my own eyes) -Don't accept complaints at reception. - Doesn't feel like a cruise. Just a transport ...

This was our 3rd cruise with MSC. In the past this was not a cruise line we would have sailed with but when cruising resumed in 2021 this line embarked passengers in Greenock so we took the opportunity to sail on Virtuosa. Truthfully, last year we were not impressed not the fault of MSC more the passenger demographic however it wasn't a typical cruise so we decided to give MSC another chance and ...

MSC CRUISE OR MSC QUEUES?

We chose this cruise as it fitted in with our commitments and we had had a good cruise on virtuosa to the canaries at the beginning of may. the package provided good value for money as we had premium drinks and a balcony cabin. we had no problems with the food, drinks or service and the staff were really good. however the entertainment leaves something to be desired. the theatre shows were ...

This is the 2nd time i have sailed on this ship and i have also taken several cruises with MSC in the past. My expectations of MSC are quite low however, this time for the price it wasn't too bad and there did seem to be a few improvments. Normally i find with MSC that the food is pretty average, im not a fan of the set dining experience and normally with MSC non of the staff ever seem to know ...

Utter Shambles

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

User Avatar

A poorly designed ship with no areas for adults with no children to relax. The ship is clearly built as a ‘holiday factory’ and the experience was more like Butlins or Benidorm rather than a normal cruise. MSC cram their ships full of families with no consideration for couples or families without kids. Food on board isn’t great and prepare yourself for mediocre, even in the speciality restaurants. ...
