If you want to sleep don’t book high deck cabins
"On another note the theatre shows have been good as have the “side shows” outside of the main theatre the Soul Brothers and comedian Andrew Fleming, difficult to know what the house band, pianist, guitarist are like as the seating in pretty much all the bar venues is extremely limited meaning unless you want to stand up with your wine or beer in hand for the evening you can’t really get to experience their sets, as there is less than 10% occupancy in the ship at present it doesn’t bear thinking about where they will fit all 6300 passengers into these small “social spaces” when they are full as at the moment with only 10% we have yet to get seating in most of the bars where evening music in on.On the negative and it’s a big one, we paid extra for a balcony on the higher level of the ship on the Fantasia package, we’re on level 13 room 13136 around midship, the main sun decks are 2 floors above and every morning we get woken by the furniture being moved around on the sun deck, times vary sometimes 5am, 7am, 1...."Read More

2hours to check in. Booked all inclusive, just as well with the outrageous prices. WiFi extortionate, and didn't work for 3 days. MSC wouldn't give rebate, even though the fault was rectified,by the time I got to the pool area it had disappeared again. Entertainment a joke. One act was impressions of Frank Spencer,Steptoe an Son,Hancock, which must have bewildered the ...

Appalling Embarcation

We chose this cruise as it was the only ship available with an accessible cabin. Board time we were allocated was 11AM, we arrived on time to a huge queue just for the bag drop in the cold damp morning for nearly an hour and a half, shocking! Once on board an attractive modern ship with many amenities and a fair balcony cabin. Restaurant food was of very poor quality and limited choice dominated ...

We have sailed with MSC previously on Divina and absolutely love it however this particular ship is a completely different kettle of fish. On the positive the itinerary was fantastic and she docked in close enough to be able to just walk off and explore great when you look into the cost of their excursions. The not so good things Embarkation was a nightmare was way over 2 hours of ...

Can understand why msc has been voted The Worse company 3 years

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

Due to a fire/chemical spill , boarding was delayed and took over 4 hrs to get on board, with almost a riot in the boarding area. Caused by inefficient msc staff Note some people took nearly 6 hrs to board. Food in the marketplace buffet area very very poor with next to no choices. Main dining room ok though. No milk in rooms, no hand wash Can you believe That it’s true. Running at 50% capacity ...

Great ship but could've been so much better.

As a first experience of MSC, a 2-day 'booze cruise' in overcast weather isn't going to give you the full experience, particularly as it was too cold to sit on deck, or use the water slides and Himalayan rope bridges. The passengers were almost certainly not the usual demographic - lots of first-timers and umpteen hen nights. But I have to say they made for a terrific atmosphere in the evenings at ...

Cruising in the age of COVID - Think TWICE

We are frequent cruisers (with several different lines), but this was our first cruise with MSC. We were excited because this cruise was supposed to go to Casablanca. In fact we chose this cruise specifically because of this destination. It was only when we printed off our cruise documents four days prior to leaving for Barcelona (non-refundable RT airfare from Miami, non-refundable prepaid ...

Great to be cruising again

After 20 months it was great to be cruising again. Virtuosa is a beautiful brand new ship. Food was excellent, even though we only ate in a specialty restaurant once. MSC is really up to par with the best when it comes to food. Staff on the ship was great, really everybody very helpful and doing their best. Entertainment was good but a bit the same, every day, always great costumes and great ...

Booked this as last minute, Southampton to Barcelona. The ship is spotless cleaning all the time. Now the it’s that are not so good. No captains daily report Food in main restaurant not good, good choice but presentation not good ( did not look to eat) so spent time in buffet, their choice of food was very good. All waiting and bar staff very attentive. There was no dedicated coffee bar ...

Cruise from hell - severely understaffed

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

I booked this cruise as I had previously been on a Princess mini cruise, which was fantastic, and as I had heard from fellow cruisers that MSC were good, I decided to book this cruise. From the start it was a disaster. The embarkation process involved a 4 1/2 hr queue, which was not COVID safe as we were all in close contact for the 4 1/2 hrs, with other passengers before we were tested. I am ...

MS Chaos !

We have done 16 Cruises previously but we hadn’t tried MSC. We were left extremely disappointed with the whole trip and have never experienced anything like this with any other cruise company. Embarkation was 3.5 hours in a long queue outside with no seating, food or water and no information given out. (We did get some biscuits & coke towards the end of the check in procedure). We arrived at ...
