Long delays to get off ship. No organization whatsoever with lines. Stood in line for a total of 5 hours to get on and off the ship at newport, with no explanation or apology. We had only an hour in newport because of it. There were tender boats in newport. While we were waiting in line for the tender to take us back to the ship, the tender boat rammed the dock hard, denting the tender boat and ...
We chose this cruise because it was priced competitively and was going to the New England ports we have been wanting to visit. The staff on the ship did a very good job and they treated us well. Getting on the ship was easy and some of the ports were really nice. Now that I have covered all the positives, let me share the negatives.
1-the cabin was not as clean as we would have liked.
2-we ...
We chose this cruise as we liked the look of the itinerary and wanted to give MSC a try! We are seasoned cruisers having cruised as a family and a couple with all the major players.
We arrived at Brooklyn Pier, NYC, expecting great things having heard how great the ship was…….. in fairness, the ship itself could not be faulted. Beautiful, clean and well appointed…… great shame the rest of the ...
This ship is beautiful and the shows were outstanding but cold food and lack of hygiene and sanitation made it undesirable. There are no hand sanitizers at all entries to the buffet. It was not until the ship became a cough fest did MSC stand a crew member to spray hands and this was only at the one entrance with sanitizers in place. MSC allowed guests to refill water bothles bu putging the used ...
I have never prayed a cruise would end. Embarkation was a nightmare. MSC had not converted their computers from euros to dollars. This caused a delay that snowballed into hours of waiting. People were getting dehydrated. Elderly people forced to stand for hours.
After 4 hours, I finally made it to the gangway. But visiting travel agents were blocking it with their tour. Shame on these ...
This cruise was a disaster from start to finish! I can't believe we paid so much and got so little in return. - Embarcation was a HUGE fail. There were no signs or people providing information regarding luggage at drop off. There were 2 stations to hand off luggage. We waited in one of the lines only to be told we were at the wrong place (EVEN) we needed to go to the other one (ODD). How were we ...
This was the WORST cruise we have ever been on and we were not alone. It got off to a bad start when we all had to stand in lines to get on the ship for FOUR HOURS. People were actually passing out. So, we were all unhappy to begin with and sadly things never really improved. The food wasn’t good, as it was pretty much the same thing every day. Also, we never got to stop in Sydney, Nova Scotia, ...
We chose this cruise because a friend wanted to try MSC. It was also going to be a birthday cruise for me. The disaster began on day one when the boarding process took over 4 hours! I felt sorry for the seniors and disabled who had to wait in these ridiculously long lines. Many of us did the preboarding steps on the MSC app which didn't help anything go faster because the staff had to still go ...
We booked this trip one year ago on the MSC Seaside. When we booked there were various “packages” available. We choose Aurea experience which included the deluxe package which became the Premium drink package. During the year MSC changed their packaging but we didn’t change our booking. I give you this background so you can fully appreciate the misadventures we have had.
The first issue was ...
This cruise was chosen for it's destination cities.
Embarkation was a nightmare, it took 3 and 1/2 hours to board the ship.
Early dining rushed, no coffee offered, once was offered a packet of instant coffee.
One waiter for three tables total of 20 people.
