We just returned from a Panama Canal cruise on the MSC Lirica. While the cruise ship was immaculate, clean, and well-equipped, it fell short in some areas. Let's cover the good things first: Cleanliness - no one became ill. There were hand sanitizers everywhere. The food was good, not great. We enjoyed the Italian pasta dishes and the risoto. Fish and meat dishes were not very good. Not many ...

Let me start by saying that those who take the time to write these reviews do so in the honest hope of helping others make wise decisions before booking a cruise. We all want to have the best time ever after spending of our hard earned money, and whats written here can help to make or break that dream come true trip. I booked this cruise a year in advance based solely on "itinerary". The ports ...

I have decided to write this epistle, on a timely basis, so as to keep memories fresh and accurate. We have just disembarked from a 10 day Panama Cruise on MSC's Lirica Ship. This was our 6th cruise, but the 1st on MSC. We chose to sail with this line, as an alternative to the two other lines previously used, after a recommendation from our travel agency, that had taken a group onboard this ship ...

We're a 40 something professional couple. This was our first cruise on MSC; previously we've cruised with Carnival and Norwegian. We're easygoing, not hyper-critical, and tend to make lemonade when handed lemons. We chose this MSC cruise because we liked the itinerary and the price was very reasonable. Precruise: We decided not to chance the winter weather in the Northeast, so we flew down the ...

This was our 9th cruise, our previous cruises have been with Celebrity (6 cruises) and Princess (2 cruises). This was also our first cruise longer than 7 days. I would like to say that this cruise was a great value. The price of this cruise is what caught our attention in the first place since it was a super price for a balcony suite. My husband and I agreed that we would take this same cruise ...

We sailed on the Lirica on 5 February 2006. We went a day earlier and staid at the Econo Lodge in Hollywood. It was no "great shakes" but it provided a free continental breakfast and free transportation from the airport and to the ship, which was worth $50. The ship processing was quick and efficient so that we were onboard by 1 pm. Be certain that you have a passport. We had a little problem ...

We just returned from the Panama Canal cruise Monday morning, April 12th. I will start by saying we had a wonderful cruise. The Lirica is a very nice new ship. The staff was very friendly and bent over backwards to please everyone. We were very apprehensive due to the bad reviews we had read, but decided to go with a "Good Attitude" and expect a good experience! We recognize new ships need time to ...
