We (family of 3 adults) just disembarked from our MSC Fantasia cruise (a mediterranean cruise); it was our first time with this company.
For more than 20 years, we have done several cruises throughout South and North America, as well as Mediterranean cruises. We have used different companies and ships, but none of them were so consistent in bringing 100% negative elements to the cruises’ ...
We found a good deal and brought the extended family.
The good: the ship is good enough, lots of cafes mostly closed when you need them. Staff overall good and helpful, some exceptions. Cabins are small and older looking. TV like a postage stamp with white noise.
The bad: The buffet is like a crocodile feeding ground. Food mainly carbs and mostly poor in taste. Although the manager was very ...
This was my first cruise and it has put me off them. The attitude of the staff was disgusting and rude. The cruise was a rip of with alot of hidden extras and then when we complained about being charged extra we were told we were lying and they believed their staff. The kids club didn't have much entertainment or set activities and our children found it boring. We upgraded to the easy plus drink ...
I have to say that I am not a fan of short cruises during school holidays and my recent cruise on the MSC Fantasia confirmed this. Firstly I commend MSC for the cleanliness and the overall level of maintenance of this older ship. The crew – as on all cruises I have taken were welcoming, full of smiles and ready to go out of their way to satisfy cruisers. Being a round-robin Mediterranean trip ...

Embarkation in Genoa (Italy) on November 2, 2019, disembarkation November 20
2019 in Santos (Brazil).
On November 2, 2019 we flew with the KLM to Milan. That went well.
Then we drove a shuttle bus to Genoa, a journey of more than 2 hours.
We had a cup of coffee on the plane around 10 a.m. and then nothing more.
We did ...
This was not my first cruise with MSC,in fact it was about my 7th or 8th mostly transatlantic from Santos, Brazil to Europe apart from one to the Caribbean. Prior to this I had done a mini cruises with Fred Olsen. To be honest, after my first cruise with MSC in 2013 I was quite impressed and wanted to go again, which I did more or less ever year following. In 2014 cruising again from Brazil to ...

My husband and I sailed on the MSC ship, Fantasia, for a one-week cruise to the Mediterranean September 7-14, 2019. Here are our experiences:
Our experience with the Food/Buffet/Dining Room:
Our initial reaction to the buffet was that it lacked the WOW factor we had come to expect with other cruise lines in terms of food quality, quantity, and presentation. No ice sculptures, no food ...
On the boat they are constantly trying to sell you addition services. For example, when we were dining someone came up to use trying to sell a steak plate for an additional 25 euro. This was insulting as we were dining in the restaurant.
On check-out we had to contribute 70 Euro per person as a service charge (for what we do not know) and they automatically put in our contribution to Unicef. I ...
Firs the positive, the embarkation was smooth. But the company lacks in communications with the guests. It has no processes to keep the guests engaged after they book the cruise. They live in an old world where communications with your customers was nil.
But the most important point is they bring in your luggage in batches. So you will get some pieces first and for the rest you will have to ...
