This was our fourth cruise with MSC and third on Divina. To say it was a disappointment would be a serious understatement.
The disappointment started with embarkation. It appeared that the suggested "check-in times" assigned was nothing more than a suggestion. Huge crowds, made more restless by a four piece combo of some type whose only talent seemed to be trying to make more noise than the ...
This was our 2nd MSC cruise. We were on Seaside in November 2019 in the Yacht Club and received future cruise credit when MSC canceled 2 ports without telling anyone prior to embarkation. The FCC and a great sale (Balcony for the price of an Inside) along with a great itinerary made this cruise attractive. A couple of months before sailing I was checking if excursions were up (they didn't get ...
This was our 3rd MSC cruise. 1st was on Divina in March 2017 for 1 week, 2nd was a back-to-back (2 week) cruise on the Seaside in June 2018. So we clearly enjoy MSC. We appreciate all the Christmas touches onboard that made it an extra special Christmas for our 2 young sons. Pros included the service from Edison and Inca in the Villa Rosa Dining Room each night; the delicious food in the MDR ...
Make no mistake, I had a great time with my 2nd sailing on MSC and the Divina, but that is because I am not a miserable person, but I met PLENTY of miserable passengers and they were all my countrymen, sigh. AMy favorite part was my triple balcony (keep the booking prices exactly the same!), the drinks and the colorful shows (Treasure Island, Witches In Paris and Michael Jackson).
Honest to ...
I had a group of 43 people on this cruise. Most had a good time. I had one lady who needed a wheel chair and it took us 3 hours sitting outside waiting for our turn to go in. There were no drinks offered and no restrooms during the wait. We also were not given a time that we would be able to board. Several people would ask, and no one received an answer. Once he left the "clipboard" where ...
Embarkation for wheelchair needs was chaotic. The person responsible for getting the wheelchair assistance needs to hold up a sign. The ship is beautiful, though safety is an issue when it comes to stairs all over the place on the ship. This is most noticeable in the theater and some lounges. The cabin was well maintained and plenty large enough for the two of us. We never saw our cabin steward ...
We choose this cruise because 300 people from our community were going. We usually go on 2 cruises a year.
Embarkation was good, but disembarkation was a disaster at the Miami port.
Ship was clean, but too many small places. There would be a piano bar singer with 1000 people trying to see them. Seldom could you get a pool chair. Everyone wanting the same pool.
The ...
MSC is a Mediterranean cruise line that currently has one ship sailing out of Miami (a new ship, the Seaside, will arrive in Jan 2018). We were skeptical about trying them since we had been on another Italian line, Costa, and were disappointed. Having cruised with MSC a few times, our son and his wife told us that we really should cruise on the DIVINA. MSC ran a special in Sept. For 7 nights, ...
Went on MSC DIVINA and had following issues:
1. Food:
Food is not really good. Sometimes it was very good but most of the time it was disappointing and poor. Especially the Dinner was not what it should be to end a nice day.
2. Service:
All the employees love kids. However everybody wanted to touch our little son (1). They touch his hands, his face and even sometimes wanted to kiss ...
We chose this to experience the european style of crusing. Well what a disappointment. Most were rude. Thank goodness for the staff they were the only salvation to this trip.
Dining staff were wonderful. You could see even they were embarrassed to serve the food. Portions at some meals were unexceptable , They were so small one person at our table of six recieved the her meal with a piece of ...
