Why I won't sail MSC again

Review for MSC Divina to Caribbean - Southern

This was our 2nd MSC cruise. We were on Seaside in November 2019 in the Yacht Club and received future cruise credit when MSC canceled 2 ports without telling anyone prior to embarkation. The FCC and a great sale (Balcony for the price of an Inside) along with a great itinerary made this cruise attractive. A couple of months before sailing I was checking if excursions were up (they didn't get ...

Good Christmas Cruise

This was our 3rd MSC cruise. 1st was on Divina in March 2017 for 1 week, 2nd was a back-to-back (2 week) cruise on the Seaside in June 2018. So we clearly enjoy MSC. We appreciate all the Christmas touches onboard that made it an extra special Christmas for our 2 young sons. Pros included the service from Edison and Inca in the Villa Rosa Dining Room each night; the delicious food in the MDR ...

Its A Great Cruise, But Leave Your American At Home

Make no mistake, I had a great time with my 2nd sailing on MSC and the Divina, but that is because I am not a miserable person, but I met PLENTY of miserable passengers and they were all my countrymen, sigh. AMy favorite part was my triple balcony (keep the booking prices exactly the same!), the drinks and the colorful shows (Treasure Island, Witches In Paris and Michael Jackson). Honest to ...

Excursions - Very Poor

We choose this cruise because 300 people from our community were going. We usually go on 2 cruises a year. Embarkation was good, but disembarkation was a disaster at the Miami port. Ship was clean, but too many small places. There would be a piano bar singer with 1000 people trying to see them. Seldom could you get a pool chair. Everyone wanting the same pool. The ...

A beautiful ship but with issues!

Embarkation for wheelchair needs was chaotic. The person responsible for getting the wheelchair assistance needs to hold up a sign. The ship is beautiful, though safety is an issue when it comes to stairs all over the place on the ship. This is most noticeable in the theater and some lounges. The cabin was well maintained and plenty large enough for the two of us. We never saw our cabin steward ...

Group Tour Review

I had a group of 43 people on this cruise. Most had a good time. I had one lady who needed a wheel chair and it took us 3 hours sitting outside waiting for our turn to go in. There were no drinks offered and no restrooms during the wait. We also were not given a time that we would be able to board. Several people would ask, and no one received an answer. Once he left the "clipboard" where ...

Another excellent cruise on board the Divina

As this was my fourth cruise on board the Divina and as I had already posted reviews after previous sailings, I was not going to write a review this time. However, on reading some of the recent reviews, particularly those from guests on the same cruise, I felt compelled to try and give a balanced view to help others looking to book a cruise on this beautiful ship. Clearly, people have different ...

Not so Divina

The itinerary was of great interest since I hadn't been to four of the ports before. The status match program and price for single travelers also lured me to try this line. The ship is beautiful and the staff was great but the food was not good nor was the dining room service. Lunch at the black crab was like a clown car ride, mass confusion. Dinner in the Villa Rosa arrived over cooked and ...

As bad as it can get short of sinking

We went on this group with a group of about 100 people. When we got to the terminal, we were informed that Immigration was doing a complete inspection of people disembarking. This means that it will take much longer to board the ship. We waited nearly three hours in line to embark. We stood for the entire time. No provisions were made for our comfort. All the chairs were filled, no one offered us ...

Pleasantly surprised

This was our first cruise with MSC. We were initially attracted by their loyalty club matching program ( make arrangements on-line before boarding), and also, the length of the cruise. Things got off to a rocky start, with boarding taking almost three hours. The passenger line snaked through two entire terminals, with no announcement as to what was causing the delay. Preferred loyalty status ...
