I recently embarked on a voyage aboard the MSC Opera and feel compelled to share feedback regarding my experience. While certain aspects were positive, unfortunately, the overall experience was poor. Firstly, the buffet's food quality and variety left much to be desired. Frequently, the food felt cold and lacked quality which was disappointing. Despite encouragement to purchase a drinks ...

Huge disappointment

We chose this cruise because it was to celebrate a special birthday and sailing around the Emirates seemed like a special trip. The Ship was too big - 5000 passengers and 1600 crew members. It was full of very rude passengers who treated other people like dirt. Staff said they felt they were treated like 'scum' by most of the passengers. The staff were amazing, especially in the restaurant, ...

Trying to escape the winter for a while we booked this cruise. Having been on many excellent MSC cruises before we were pretty disappointed this time. Food at the buffet restaurant: cold, not much choice Food at the restaurant: mixed, usually hot but sometimes not good, fellow passengers even got different meals (not what they had ordered and the waiters insisted that it was correct ...

the good (YAY!)— -doha, abu dhabi, and dubai excursions booked through MSC; the guides were excellent. -beautiful ship and kept very clean. -friendly staff (for the most part). the bad (meh…)— -the food. i’m not picky at all and the MDR food was poor. the descriptions didn’t match the food served (i.e. ceviche, cream of asparagus soup, etc). the buffet food was decent. room service ...

Thoroughly disppointing

We picked this repositioning cruise to take advantage of a visit to Jordan, in particular Petra. The deal looked too inviting to resist, but how we wish we had. It all started to go downhill when we received an email from MSC at 3pm the day prior to boarding advising us that "with your safety and wellbeing in mind, we have taken the decision to slightly amend your cruise". This 'slight amendment' ...

We are currently on this excuse of a boat that you call a cruise ship "Cabin *81**" Previously we have travelled with Holland America, Celebrity, Carnival, Royal Caribbean and P & O Examples Dinner Ordered dinner and the vegetables were raw when we queried the head waiter he blamed the server The menu, well I hope your not paying the head chef a decent wage because he is not dishing ...

Worst cruise I have ever been on

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC World Europa

This is a new cruise ship that has far to many people for the community space. There is no lounges or quite places to sit and relax. The entertainment was sparse, you had to book in to the shows, which you could only see once, if it was sold out then you couldn't go. I have travelled with many cruise company's and this has to be the worst be far The food was plain, but they were always ...

They did not inform us about the PCR test!!! We arrived the port at 2:30pm. There was a PCR test counter at the terminal and they charge ~USD73 for person!! AND the staff said they need 4 hours to get the results!!! Our cruise schedule departed at 6pm!!! There are lots of people at the terminal waiting for the results. We finally got the results after two and a half hours! It is really ...

We chooe this cruise as our friends we going on it and it ticked a few of our bucket list locations, MSC Europa is HUGE, no walking deck, to get to some of the shows you have to walk through the Casino and it always smelt of cigarette smoke and really not very nice at all. Food was very average, Staff in all area's were great, We booked an excursion prior to leaving Australia and on the day of the ...

we chose this cruise at last minute - the ship itself was clean and well run however the meals at the buffet wasnt hot and not a lot of choice. the restaurant meals were ok but nothing exciting as the menu was a bit much the same most nights. we booked an outside cabin with restricted view OMG we couldn't see outside the window at all, not even the sky as a life boat was hard up against the ...
