A fascinating and perplexing experience.

Our family is relatively new to cruising, as this only being our fourth. Our first was on the Carnival Elation and the next two being on the Holland America Rotterdam. We knew going in this was going to be a very different experience as this was our first cruise on a "mega ship" and we knew that MSC operated a little bit different from other lines. First, the positives. -Sailing out of ...

We only cruise out of the New York area and wanted to get to Mexico. This cruise stopped in both Costa Maya and Cozumel. Ship is gorgeous. Food, if you can get it hot, is OK. Getting the food while it's still hot at a sit down restaurant is challenging to say the least. Had to go to into the cleanup area to speak to my waiter because he forgot to bring our dessert to the table one evening and ...

We've sailed over 20 times, on a variety of cruise lines. This was our first experience with MSC. - The shows in the Broadway theatre were excellent! - Many months before sailing, we requested assistance boarding with our autistic son. They said a wheelchair would be provided for him to board. I let them know he's physically healthy and didn't need a wheelchair, just a person to help move ...

My least favorite so far!

I have been on many cruise lines and decided to try out MSC for Christmas with my family. I have adult children: 18 & 23. Let me begin: I give it 3 stars because the service and the workers that we dealt with were great! However, I believe MSC was not equipped to handle so many people on board. Not only did we experience "drama" amongst passengers but the lines for everything were ridiculous. ...

My family and I were so excited to embark on our adventure aboard the Meraviglia our of Brooklyn New York. The departure was fine; however, when we arrived in both staterooms were dirty. I immediately called the cabin steward and she cleaned both rooms again. This was not a great way to start a week aboard a ship that is trying to enter the US market out of the east coast. Overall, the ship ...

Not bad, not great

We aren’t experienced cruisers as this was our second cruise ever. First was two years back on Norwegian, on the same route we did on MSC. First off the boat was great, nothing overly outdated, and the overhead screen was a good touch. Check in wasn’t long, but the waiting area was overcrowded and a lot of confusion. No screens were on and you can’t hear announcements. On board we had to ...

Entertainment The Only Good Thing About This Cruise

I knew not to expect much but was shocked at how bad of an experience it actually was. Check in was a disaster. It was a cluster! Check in actually was not too bad but the waiting room is a mess. Not enough seating and we had to wait over an hour before getting on the ship. We watched people cutting lines and opening the barriers themselves to get on early. Don’t bother arriving before 1:00 ...

Celebrating my 50th birthday on this Ship. First let me get to the good part. Our Cabin steward was Ralf and he was excellent. Our rooms were always clean and he always asked about how our day was going whenever he sees us in the hallway. Ralf knew us by name. We loved Ralf. For dinner, our waitresses were the best Phiri and Thu Thu. We loved you guys. Embarkation and disembarkation ...

I'm working in F&B for 40 years and I was very impressed with the service and professional service from Yogi.My experience was very good from the first day we meet Yogi for all my reservations for the 5 days dinning in the Specialty restaurants. You should be proud of this gentleman. Very good experience in the Japanese restaurant. They need to improve the sauna area and the service there ...
