MSC Sinfonia is one of the oldest ships in the fleet, so don't book for the things it doesn't have, such as Yacht club, speciality dining, robot bartenders, water slides, and big production shows. Book for the destination ports and value for money.
The ship was on a continuous circular Eastern Mediterranean itinerary catering predominately for the Italian market, but with many other Europeans ...
Ship is older and fewer amenities but in good shape. Smoking infiltrated all of us anytime we were near a smoking area or the casino. Why is any cruise line catering to the .5% of people who smoke to the detriment of the other 99.5%?
The buffet food was horrible. Industrialize food, no variety, missing basic stuff e.g. croutons on salad bar). Dinner in the MDR was much better.

Our family is relatively new to cruising, as this only being our fourth. Our first was on the Carnival Elation and the next two being on the Holland America Rotterdam. We knew going in this was going to be a very different experience as this was our first cruise on a "mega ship" and we knew that MSC operated a little bit different from other lines.
First, the positives.

Embarkation and walk off disembarkation were great. Overall, the rest was a bit of a mess. It was nice to have the key cards on the door waiting for us. It would have been nice to know that our assigned dining room and fun pass were on our key cards. Communication and information go a long way. We were not informed that our dining room was assigned, or that it was listed on our key card. We went ...
The ship may be beautiful, but the organization is terrible. Not enough tables in the main restaurant, not enough sunbeds by the pool. Daily lack of Jameson Whiskey, Jack Daniels, Brandy etc and carbonated water!!!! at the bar of the Black Crab Restaurant and other restaurants that were included in the drink package I purchased. The evening dancing in the black crab restaurant full of alcohol ...
This was my first cruise ever, and an exciting opportunity to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary. I have been a long time listener and donor of KLove, and was thrilled to be on an all Christian cruise. Unfortunately, some of our experiences were beyond words, and we couldn't get off the ship fast enough.
The MSC Web Check-in process was never fully accessible, so many phone calls had to be ...
Have sailed twice on MSC and enjoyed yacht club. We booked a suite on deck 9 and had the Top 16 area to enjoy. The suite had some rust on the bathroom and the plastic shower curtain I had thought was a nasty memory from the past. I’m a size 4, 5’3” and had difficulty managing to shower. The bed was comfortable. Balcony was small. The TV channels are limited and CNN just doesn’t offer unbiased ...
My boyfriends' first cruise, so he didn't think it was so bad. I have been on only 2 others, both Carnival, and this paled in comparison. The boat itself and interior were totally nice!!! Not the issue. Issue is paying for an upgraded drinks package on a ship with a dozen bars and only 1-2 of them open for most of the day. The beer selection is a joke. One...ONE....bar had multiple beers on ...
We only cruise out of the New York area and wanted to get to Mexico. This cruise stopped in both Costa Maya and Cozumel. Ship is gorgeous. Food, if you can get it hot, is OK. Getting the food while it's still hot at a sit down restaurant is challenging to say the least. Had to go to into the cleanup area to speak to my waiter because he forgot to bring our dessert to the table one evening and ...
We chose this for its itinerary, and it was good. We loved Cahuita Nation Park in Costa Rica. We did tow out of the ay tours in Jamaica, but hit a traffic jam on the way back that messed up our final olans. Captain Roger;s catamaran in Roatan was superb. Tortuguero canal allowed us to see more animals. The private island is surprisingly pleasing. My daughter puts it well: MSC is Carnival for ...
