Great trip - Loved the cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Musica

We were two couples travelling to Italy and chose this cruise for the itinerary and affordable price. In the past we have sailed with MSC on the Poesia in the Caribbean so we knew what to expect from an MSC cruise. Since it was mid-September there was an older crowd and very few kids around. The ship is showing signs of wear but still in decent condition. We booked the Aurea experience and ...

Great locations; Ship spaces a little bit of a let down

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Lirica

The ship itself is small carrying less than 2000 people the main issues we found is that there is no functional space big enough to accommodate passengers wishing to watch the shows provided by the animation team. This resulted in even if you found a seat, passenger standing in front of you obscuring your view with a result that you too had to stand to watch the show. That said the ship is very ...

Don't let the bad reviews put you off. It's actually very good

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Poesia

I was quite concerned after reading several bad reviews that were very negative about the MSC Poesia. After returning from a cruise on the MSC Poesia in September 2018, I can honestly say that the bad reviews are not all accurate in my view. Allthough there are some things that may bother you if you choose a cabin in the wrong area of the ship, like next to lifts or above the engine room, you ...

Good First Cruise on MSC Poesia

This was our (2 adults + 1 11 year old child) first cruise on MSC, previously we had been on 2 cruises on Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas, but this time we were struggling to find an Itinerary that we fancied in the summer holidays, and the RCCI prices were quite expensive, so we looked at other cruise Itineraries and found MSC, which had some good Itineraries, leaving Venice and vising ...

Nice itinerary, decent ship, poor quality food.

Overall, it was a good cruise. Main reason we chose it was because of the port destinations. All destinations were good and worth calling to. Good choice of excursions also, if quite expensive to do some of the cruiseline-excursions. With regards to the ship, it was quite nice, with good outdoor pool area. All areas were very well kept, and very clean. Staff were friendly and always smiling. ...

We did lots of research and compared prices between NCL, Royal Caribbean... MSC offered the lowest in price. the same amount of money we can get a balcony room instead a inside room with other company. so we went ahead booked with MSC Sinfonia. we arrived Venice by train at 11:30am . about 10 minutes walk and found the people mover station. it took us at least 20 minutes stand in line to buy ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

We chose this cruise itinerary and MSC itself for its affordability (not easy using the South African Rand) and itinerary. Ports of call are interesting, although the Santorini and Mykonos stops are far too brief. Mykonos is just a tease, as you are in port for only a matter of hours. We embarked at Venice, which I recommend, as the one-day stop in Venice (if you were to embark elsewhere) ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Lirica

We chose Lirica to sail across Italy, Greece and Dubronvik. Was happy with most of the ports, halts, amenities on the cruise and excursions. We took guided excursions at every stop and were satisfied with the trips. There was an excursion of Paradise island, Corfu, that got cancelled due to strong winds n rough sea condition but the cruise refunded the excursion fee in full. We faced some issues ...

In this review we will give information, then list the good points, then the bad points INFORMATION The Transfer from airport to ship was ok once we had located the MSC rep and negotiated the 10 minute walk from the terminal to the coach park! The embarkation process seemed to go ok As they operate on a card system, we had to pick these up from our cabin Upon reading the cards we ...

Firstly let me give the do`s and work towards the don`ts. Always eat in the main restaurant for all meals, it`s more relaxed and less hassle. The staff are fantastic and will do anything for you. Tip them personally as it goes a long way and take it off your pre paid gratuities. We had a balcony 9086 and it was really nice and cabin lad was really good. The ship it`s self is lovely ...
