We would probably never travel with MSC again and neither would a lot of people we spoke to on the cruise.

Went on the lirica. Decent ship with a really good itinerary but really poor service. Organisation is poor and while the food tastes good, there isn't much of it and it's very samey. Chose the cruise because we liked the itinerary and had heard good things about MSC.
On arrival at Venice we were kept waiting for ages at the terminal waiting for our transfer. We were given no information but found out later that there were problems due to the fog. Check in procedure could have been better, another long wait. Cabin was excellent, very spacious, fantastica suite.

Sinfonia is an older ship and it shows. Décor is dated and some areas are not large enough for the capacity (theatre, buffet). As Australian cruisers, we found the atmosphere to be lacking compared with our experiences cruising closer to home which probably reflects more on the high proportion of European passengers than the ship itself.
