Embarkation was a hot and long experience, trying to get on the overcrowded people mover and the long walk to the boat where we had a long wait to be checked in. I was not very happy that I was unable to get even a drink of water with lunch on that first day because I didn't have the correct document on my person. We have been with msc before but this cruise from Venice was full of very noisy children and Italians. It was extremely noisy and we were on second sitting and could not hear yourself think. I have cruised 6 times before but never with MSC. I was impressed with the embarkation process but it went downhill from there.

The destinations in the cruise were great, beautiful towns all. The staff very friendly.

We took this cruise because the itinerary was good, the price was right and it dovetailed with the end of a land tour that we took in Croatia. However, we did not anticipate that the ship would be full of Italians on Easter holiday with their children, or that some port and shopping activities would be completely closed due to the holiday.

When we tried to schedule our massages the spa reception lady told us that they cannot accommodate the time when we wanted to have our massage. We previously cruised on Costa, Carnival and Holland America as suite guests. We purchased a suite on MSC. This time there was no champagne in the cabin, no daily fresh fruit, no coffee and no hair conditioner. And no folded towel animals :-)
