The ship may be beautiful, but the organization is terrible. Not enough tables in the main restaurant, not enough sunbeds by the pool. Daily lack of Jameson Whiskey, Jack Daniels, Brandy etc and carbonated water!!!! at the bar of the Black Crab Restaurant and other restaurants that were included in the drink package I purchased. The evening dancing in the black crab restaurant full of alcohol ...
My husband and I specifically chose this cruise to participate in a Holistic (Vegan) Holiday at Sea. The cruise experience was mediocre at best, but from talking to others, not everyone felt the same way. However, probably 9 out of 10 people we asked had opinions that echoed ours: the crowding, disorganization, and poor food were discouraging. This was my fourth cruise so I had a good idea of what ...
To begin with, this is a beautiful ship - my mom treated six of us to 3 cabins with balconies and the rooms were nice, the ship appeared to be well cared for, the food was wonderful, the staff excellent and with the exception that there was NEVER a deck chair to be had, all was going very well for us. In regards to the deck chairs, you would think that with the countless daily announcements in ...
This was our second cruise on the Divina. We sailed the Divina when it first launched. That cruise was in the Yacht Club. This trip was more spur of the moment, and we grabbed a balcony stateroom a few weeks from departure. There is a big big difference between the Yacht Club and the rest of the ship.
Embarkation: Embarkation was fairly chaotic. There were sufficient MSC staff, but no one knew ...
We were part of a group of 28 persons. It was almost Impossible to get a chair at the swimming pool if you didn't put your towel on it very, very early in the morning. People would put their towels on chairs and leave for hours; so the chairs were unoccupied but reserved! I mentioned the fact to an attendant who answered there was nothing they could do.
Tables were too crowed at the dining ...
This was our 4th cruise over the past 4 years (2 Princess, 1 Celebrity and 1 MSC). We decide to give MSC a try because we loved the look of the ships. After some research we chose the Divina mainly do the the itinerary. It was a 12 day cruise with stops in Jamaica, Aruba, Columbia, Panama, Mexico and their own island.
We had some amazing experiences and some not so good experiences. I ...
Cruise was booked on previously booked divina cruise. Service has gone downhill. Each staff member at reception has a different answer to your question. Books are removed from library due to virus possibilities but guests refuse to use sanitizing and staff does not enforce. Guests maul food in buffet and staff watch. Entertainment is excellent as are the excursions. Officers tend to ...
Was in the Yacht Club on this Western Caribbean Cruise. We were there for a jazz-themed cruise, so didn't go on any excursions (don't like the Caribbean, actually). Providing this review on the shipboard services.
Yacht club provides expedited embarkation and debarkation, which went quickly and smoothly. Also has separate door for leaving and rejoining the ship at ports, which was always ...
MSC Divina Cruise, December 6, 2019
Quick thoughts: very beautiful ship, especially the atrium; poor food; very crowded ship with large unused rooms; great 1600 seat theater; mostly poor entertainment choices, but some notable exceptions; very smokey casino; excellent waiters and room steward, not much closet space for an eleven day cruise.
Random Thoughts about basically inconsequential ...
We took an 11-day southern/eastern Caribbean cruise on the MSC Divina in November 2018... our first cruise on that line. On the whole the first experience was pretty good, so when we saw a 12-day southern/western Caribbean trip (with a stop at their new "Ocean Cay" private island) on the Divina for December 2019, we decided to go for it.
It's interesting how you remember some things about a ...
