The Good and Bad of Our First Cruise
"We chose this cruise because of the price. We had never been on a cruise and were planning on being in Florida to visit family and decided to give it a shot. We flew down the day before and spent the night in..."Read More

It was our first time on MSC. Being that the ship was only half full of passengers and the hole corona virus outbreak made for an uneasy cruise. The food was average witch was disappointing as I was under the impression that their food was much better. I will say that they made very good pizza. Not impressed with their steak house, I rarely send food back , but I had to with my first steak ...

We booked this cruise at full price over a year ago. We wanted to try MSC, I had read all the reviews and decided to go with an open mind. First off the ship is beautiful and very clean, the only think we didn't care for is the chopped up layout. The staff at customer service desk were unfriendly like other reviewers have stated. The lack of communication as to what was going on was ...

Good price. Six days five night cruise was $179. . Embarkation was average. It takes a bit of time for 2500 people to board a ship so that was not remarkable either way. When we arrived onto the ship we were INUNDATED with a pitch to buy the beverage package about 50 or 60 times in the guest lobby. Once we were given our cabin assignment we were allowed to go to the luncheon. Once again inundated ...

To start I need to tell you that the ship was at best at half occupancy. I am sure this had a huge impact on wait times, table availabity in the buffet area and deck chair availablity. The occupancy was heavily affected by the coronavirus. Embarkation went quickly and easily. We arrived around11:30 am and were on board by about 12:15. There were no lines to check in. We had to wait until ...

My husband and I specifically chose this cruise to participate in a Holistic (Vegan) Holiday at Sea. The cruise experience was mediocre at best, but from talking to others, not everyone felt the same way. However, probably 9 out of 10 people we asked had opinions that echoed ours: the crowding, disorganization, and poor food were discouraging. This was my fourth cruise so I had a good idea of what ...

This was our 4th cruise over the past 4 years (2 Princess, 1 Celebrity and 1 MSC). We decide to give MSC a try because we loved the look of the ships. After some research we chose the Divina mainly do the the itinerary. It was a 12 day cruise with stops in Jamaica, Aruba, Columbia, Panama, Mexico and their own island. We had some amazing experiences and some not so good experiences. I ...

Embarkation took longer than other cruise lines. Less than 2/3 of the check-in booths were open. Because of the coronavirus a medical report had to be filled out by each passenger on site and the crew member passing those out was rude and impatient. I was surprised to learn that this ship had no app which provided the daily schedule, ship map, etc. I didn't realize how much I used it while on ...

This was our second cruise on the Divina. We sailed the Divina when it first launched. That cruise was in the Yacht Club. This trip was more spur of the moment, and we grabbed a balcony stateroom a few weeks from departure. There is a big big difference between the Yacht Club and the rest of the ship. Embarkation: Embarkation was fairly chaotic. There were sufficient MSC staff, but no one knew ...

price and destination was our choice for first time on a MSC cruise. Sometimes you get what you pay for and this was one of those times. We were able to transfer points from Carnival and go aboard as Gold members which we thought was a plus as well. This only got us a plate of fruit you could get at any buffet and a tote bag. There was a spa hour offer but it was for sauna and relax area only. If ...

Was in the Yacht Club on this Western Caribbean Cruise. We were there for a jazz-themed cruise, so didn't go on any excursions (don't like the Caribbean, actually). Providing this review on the shipboard services. Yacht club provides expedited embarkation and debarkation, which went quickly and smoothly. Also has separate door for leaving and rejoining the ship at ports, which was always ...
