Where do I begin? Our family decided to do a Christmas and New Year cruise expecting a terrific experience. We all agreed on doing a back-to-back cruise and this one fit the bill for the dates we had available. Boy were we wrong. We left Miami and encountered rough seas. Not the ships fault but was stressful. Many people were quite sick. We arrived at Puerto Rico late and stood in the stairwells for 2 hours waiting to disembark. There was no communication from staff to explain the situation nor trying to direct the angry passengers. Puerto Rico was nice but was dark by the time we got off and did not get to enjoy much the city had to offer. The next day the toilets stopped working. It was horrible and overflowing with human waste. Luckily that was short lived and fixed later that day. We did an ATV excursion in St Marten and we were majorly disappointed. It involved driving an ATV through the streets going to the beach. Definitely nothing like we had envisioned. The staff had been seen smoking a rather large joint before starting their shift. The Bahamas was ok. We went back to Miami and decided not to disembark and waited to go through customs. Overall an easy and low-key process. We then left and went to Jamaica. My wife went on an cooking class excursion and was very disappointed. Next was Columbia and Panama and those were a decent experience. Costa Rica was our next stop. We have been there before and were looking forward to going to the sloth sanctuary. Once again the tour was subpar. The description stated we would see baby sloths. Nope. They said that was another excursion and was very pricey. Not even an option for us to purchase though. Also our tour guide in the sanctuary thought he needed to speak everyone's language even though this was an english speaking tour. Not impressed. The canoe experience was a great time. We saw several troops of howler monkeys and a sloth. Our guide there was great. Costa Maya was good. We saw the Mayan ruins and our guide was decent. Now on to MSC's private island Ocean Cay. Oh my! It will be a lovely place in about 5 years. They have done a major island overhaul and evidently need more money because 1 Corona was $8.25. The shops were ridiculously priced. We arrived at Miami and all hell broke lose! We were supposed to disembark at 7:50 and meet in a certain location. We arrived at 7:30 and it was already mass caos. There were 2 major long lines formed and once again no staff around to help ease the process. I decided to leave the area and go to the end of the line figuring once I reached my family, they would join me. 1 1/2 hrs later and I moved 50', my wife texted me to get up to her as she found a way off. We did make our flight which was rushed. Our grandchildren were enrolled in the kids program and hated it. No organization at all. They never wanted to go. They had been on other cruises and loved the kids program. The evening entertainment was horrible. The singing was lip-synced at times and was very obvious as the "singer" stopped moving their mouths. The acrobatics stuff was good but ruined once again with the horrid singing. The bars had other bad singers too. No one seemed to know how to sing. No areas to sit down and enjoy each other's company due to being so loud. Not much to do during the day. We did crafts several times but the one lady rarely gave us direction and she was usually busy doing another project for a friend. Jefferson was great. Very helpful and kind. He was organized. We wanted to go outside and sit but all the chairs had towels on them. I ran most every day and the work-out room is ok but I ran on deck. Previous reviews and several staff members advised that deck 7 was around the ship. Nope. Walled off. So I ran on deck 15 weaving through the lounge chairs and the people smoking all over and designated track. The announcements were in various languages. It usually took 7-8 minutes to go through them and other times it was only in English. Staff often looked like walking dead. They would say they only received 4 hours of sleep and had to start their shifts at 6 AM. Sometimes they would have a break during day but they always seemed tired. Our waiter and assistant did a good job. Our muster station was extremely disorganized. No leadership and people were talking above the staff members. Other cruises 'muster stations I have taken part of were so organized and quiet you could hear a pin drop. Rude - Multiple staff members and numerous passengers were the most rude people I have encountered. I have never encountered such behaviors on other cruises. Food - Where do I begin? The buffet was the same song and dance daily. We tried the dining room for breakfast and lunch several times and usually got horrible service. Language barriers and not getting what we ordered. The food was so plain. We ALWAYS needed to add salt and pepper. I never do back home. The desserts looked very appetizing but yet again disappointing. No flavor. The safest option was to get ice creme. Last but not least, MSC managed to lose our garment bag when we disembarked. Our bags were all together and that garment bag was not there. We filed a lost bag report but MSC still has not located. We have been off for 48 hours now. We had packed our gifts in that bag and unfortunately will be lost. We have been on several Royal, Norwegian, Carnival and Holland America cruises and this will be our one and done cruise with this company. Read Less

The cruise itself was nice. The staff were friendly. The food was ok. But from a customer service standpoint I wouldn’t sail with MSC again. We did not receive our etickets and it turns out our e-check in didn’t work but we’d have no way of knowing that. We called the day prior to get ticket confirmation. Then when we were checking in the woman had no information about our room or dining and said we’d have to go on board to find out. We walked all across the many halls to get to security to find out one of our two cards didn’t work. I had to walk all the way back to the original lady to get a new card. I had to get yet another card once on board because they hadn’t assigned us dining despite our confirmation. Our room wasn’t ready so we had to tote our bags around. We called five times to have our tv remote repaired (over several days). We tipped cash along the way to ensure we were tipping the right people but were forced to pay an additional $12.50 usd per person per day for tips. Disembarking was pure chaos every time. The line wound around the stair cases with no order. The ship was very crowded and they Nickel and dime you for everything. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Unfortunately they are not offering the same one next year or we would be on it again. 1. The ship is beautiful! The cabins are spacious and clean. The ship overall is kept in top notch form. Both in repairs and cleanliness. 2. The food is very good. We did wish that MSC offered free dining in more locations like Norwegian cruise line does. Eating in the dining room every night got monotonous. 3. The entertainment was very good. Talented dancers and singers, but VERY repetitive. The opera could be eliminated, although they were very good singers. Other entertainment in the bars was very pleasant. 4. We had no issues with embarkment and disembarkment. The embarkment was slow, but apparently not a MSC issue, but customs issue... so I heard. Once they began though it happened quite quickly. Most of the luggage was in our rooms within the hour. The other suitcase was more like two to three hours. We didn't sit and wait, so I'm not sure exactly. We went to the sport bar right away because no one was there. That worked our great. 5. Lovely pools. Enjoyed the depth because they weren't packed full of standers. They were deeper pools, so you had to swim somewhat. 6. The dining staff rating is a bit lower because of this being a European ship. They don't gush over the customers as we Americans are used to on other cruise lines, tho they weren't rude either. The bar waiters and waitresses seemed quite pleasant. 7. Our room steward was very nice but due to the language barrier he didn't say much, but always smiled. No towel animals or towel persons as we have grown to expect from other cruise lines..no big deal. 8. There was a morning activity at the pool each day which I though was great. Stretching, exercise, dance lessons...etc. As I said earlier. I really wish they would have offered the exact same itinerary for 2020...disappointed. Read Less

We sailed on MSC Divina because we got got a bargain and to entice us we were "matched" to the level on NCL/Carnival, we found the ship to be nicely designed, our cabin was comfortable and the amount of amenities and dinning was plentiful, we were hesitant because people's reviews had made it seem like there was too much pasta on the menus, we found the opposite, the food was very tasty and the selections was great, they still need to work out a few kinks, in the black crab restaurant ( where we were assigned ) we had to wait for our coffee to accompany our desserts, but it seems like every cruise line is cutting staff and you don't get quite the prompt service that we expect. The itinerary was wonderful too, going to shore and coming back into the ship was painless and we loved the fact that the ship stayed longer in ports than most cruises we have taken, that was nice surprised. Another pleasant surprise was the entertainment in the theater, we enjoyed all of the shows, they did an amazing job and would certainly would do another MSC Cruise. Read Less

Best cruise value for balcony cabin including drink package. Service in the Black Crab Dining Room excellent. Our waiter and crew anticipated our needs before we asked. The food was selection was more Mediterranean than we've had on other ships but excellent options and we enjoyed trying a few new things. We tried the dining room for both breakfast and lunch as well and enjoyed the menu selection. Excellent pizza, salads, desserts, as well as hot and cold entrees were available in the buffet. The Bella drink package was wonderful. Instead of paying $12/drink, on this ship we were able to drink all day for $12 in tips. The shops were very nice, and the adults only Solarium area was the nicest I'd seen on any ship. Deck chairs were harder to find on sea days, however we learned to get out early and "save" our chairs just like everyone else did. the shows were wonderful and the excursions were great too. Bought this in May, with a $198 deposit, a Memorial day special with free drinks and balcony. We had a great cabin 8230 on Deck 8 without lifeboats blocking our view. We were also near the elevator that we would used late at night coming down from the Black and White Lounge. Transportation is not at problem from Fort Lauderdale and back from the Miami port. Cost is $38 for Uber or $20 per person with the shuttle one way. Just walk off the ship, the shuttle drivers are there with signs for FLL. We do not stay in Miami for I feel and like FLL.. more fun at the beach bars in Hollywood. MSC has a match points program with the other cruise lines so I was given all the great perks and also my cabin mate. I did not have one bad meal or service in the Black Crab. Even the buffet is excellent except some items that should be near the entrée are not. Best to scot out where everything is so you can hopefully have hot food. Entertainment was excellent even got to see an OPERA, This is my 3rd cruise with MSC and will continue to cruise with them... if the price is right. Only took one tour other one was on our own. After over a decade of cruising, we decided to try MSC Divina. Very disorganized crew. Late embarkation and disembarktion with no explanation. Lines for linking credit card to sea pass on ship. Only one customer service desk open. Bar service slow, rude staff, unless of course you are willing to tip an additional few dollars above the 15% already charged per drink. Those customers were catered to. Poor food selection, slow service from wait staff. Horrible problem with pushing and shoving of guests on this cruise, mostly from Europeans which was the overall consensus from most US and even some UK guests. Eataly steak house has no atmosphere and is nothing more than a pizza parlor with plastic chairs. Dining staff difficult to deal with to change dining time. Required multiple requests and standing in lines. MSC crushed a hard side suitcase with no responsibility taken by staff. Will not sail MSC again. Read Less

We chose the cruise due to the dates and itinerary from Miami Embarkation was disorganised, and chaotic. We did get off at every port and generally they were good. This was the worst cruise line we have been on by far. When we embarked the ship we found used Incontinence pads left in bins by previous residents, and no towels. Poor quality of food, very little fresh fruits and vegetables, one day we found mouldy cheese on display in the buffet. Very repetitive, lack of hygiene at best 3 star rating It is not worth pre-paying for any extra services as you get better treatment as a walk-in. We pre-paid laundry service which came back stained and crumpled. Some items had to be returned twice to get the staining out, caused by them. Our Internet package could only be on single device with only social media availability. We could have paid to add devices and access to e-mails! But didn't want to give this company any more of our money. Daytime entertainment was poor and moronic. Evening entertainment by the pool was the same. The theatre had some talented individuals which was let down by the choreography with the same stuff being regurgitated, just different songs, and frequently in Italian In the lounges again there was one or two talented performers. We did complain to MSC both onboard and post cruise but the tone of the apology letter in our view did not take our complaints too seriously. I have attached a selection of photos which show why we complained. Overall you would be better off trying perhaps Princess as better all round or maybe some other cruise line, but I would recommend giving MSC a wide berth. Read Less

We sailed a 10 day cruise on the MSC Divina on the 10th January 2019 from Miami, porting at St. John's, Antigua, Basseterre, St Kitts, Road Town, Virgin Islands, Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe and Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Embarkation at the port of Miami was fairly straight forward, we arrived around 11am and checked in although there was a wait in the terminal building until 1pm. We had a balcony cabin on deck 12, the cabin was comfortable and had everything you would expect i.e. TV, Hair Dryer etc Dinning We struggled with the dinning on MSC, i have sailed with MSC several times previously but always find the dinning a challenge after sailing with the flexible freestyle dinning on NCL. Dinning is fixed to two sittings and is a shared table. We chose the later sitting. MSC normally do a reasonable job at matching up similar guests of the same nationality so its important you check that your nationality is correct on your cruise documents. The service in the restaurant was good. The food in the main restaurant (Black Crab) was ok but i cant say that any of the meals were particularly memorable. The speciality dinning options are also limited, we ate in the Galaxy Disco Restaurant one evening as it was included with out Black Card Status, it is a Sushi/Asian restaurant and the $30 taster menu was included free however, if i had to have paid for the restaurant i would have been very disappointed. The service was good but the food was limited and we were still hungry when we left. The only other speciality restaurant is the Italian and to be honest i wouldn't pay for pizza when the pizza in the buffet is free and is excellent. As you would expect being an Italian cruise line; the ice cream, coffee and pizza are all good. Entertainment This time we didn't really experience much of the live entertainment, i heard i was good. I did venture into the Theatre one evening however i wasn't very impressed with what i saw, it looked a bit amateurish. There were plenty of deck parties and always something going on around the pool deck so i would suggest if you want a quite place to sit then you should avoid the main pool deck. We went to the nightclub a few times and there always seemed to be a few people in there until quite late. There were some gala nights whereby you could dress up if you wanted and there were theme nights such as a 70's party and the white party. Pool Areas Sea days as you would expect are very busy, it was annoying that people put towels on beds and then never use them. One day we took towels off the beds and were there all day and the people never came back. Its pretty selfish of people to reserve beds like this. Casino What i really liked about the ship was the roulette table, there was only a minimum bet of $1 required and it was $1 dollar chips which is different to NCL whereby its $2 chips and a minimum of 5 chips per round. I was able to sit at the roulette table for many hours and not spend too much money. Drinks The drinks package we had was a bit random, it included one draft bear and miller light cans and wines, it was a bit difficult trying to find out what was included and what wasn't. We actually discovered that you could order a non alcoholic frozen cocktail and ask for a spirit to make your own. There was a variety of wines but not the best to be honest. Also i don't think you need to buy any of the MSC experiences if you buy a separate drinks package as they don't really offer anything over and above. Ports All of the ports were excellent and we did this cruise because of the itinerary, we were a little disappointed with Guadeloupe and just visited the local town. At all the stops we were able to just get off the ship and find a taxi to a local beach, most days the taxi's were around $8 per person and at most of the beaches a sun chair was $10 and umbrella $15. If you do some research before you go then i don't think you would really need to do any of the ship tours. Overall, it was a nice cruise, a good itinerary, good service and a nice ship but nothing particularity memorable. I have cruised with several other cruise lines previously including MSC and Royal; Caribbean and if i had the choice of a cruise with a similar itinerary and price then i would choose NCL simply because of the flexible dining and the simplicity of the drinks package offered but i don't think you will be disappointed with MSC. This was our first trip on MSC . This wss to celebrate our 26th wedding annaversary. Was a bit worried after reading the many negative reviews from previous guests who cruised on the MSC Divins. I was amazed of the service recieved and attitude of the staff who were always willing to please. We did not attend nightly show but other guests fid complain about the opera in s foriegn language. We participated in the three times a day latin dance classes and the activities at the aqua was quite enjoyable. The cruise was in the caribbean yet mostly latin music was played not the soca or reggae from the regions / countries visited as a Trinidadian i informed some of the activity staff of this. We joined the MSC members club and was upgrade to a silver member as we were gold members on Carnival and were invited to the returning guests party which was nice. Read Less

Hamburgers were good, pizza was ok. We ate a lot of both. Dinner menu was not very good. Left a lot to be desired. Fish meals not very good. Chicken meals ok. Ny strip steak was tough and grisly. Could not eat it. A lot of casserole dishes and bread. They fill you up with bread. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give them a 3 on all meals. Like I said you get what you pay for. Entertainment on a scale of 1 to 10 I give them a 2 or 3. Same group of people every night. I have seen high school students do better. 1 night the show was a 8 on scale of 1 to 10. Overall entertainment was lousy. PS If you want a cheap trip ok. If you want a good trip try another cruise line. Read Less

Beautiful ship. Much confusion about what was and not included In the drink package Most bar Staff were very nice a few not so much. We ate in upper Black Crab. Our Servers, Ramauldo and Duncan the very best we have had since a river cruise. They could not do enough for our party of 6. Food was hit or miss in dining room. Overall enjoyed the Cruise very much. We will most certainly do another MSC Cruise. THe Cruise Critic party was fantastic. Would suggest in the Buffet that they develop a better flow to the salad bar, always good selections but the crisscross was hetic at times. The taco bar needs a real salsa and guacamole, one nite at dinner an excellent guacamole was served. Bring it upstairs. The entertainment was fantastic, best dancer's at sea. Only wish some late venues would start at 10 not 2030 that extra half hour lags and once back in cabin some times stayed home. Enjoyed the international flavor, and was impressed how many families were on board. WE HAD FUN. Read Less

Having been on several different cruise lines to different locations, this was not a special trip for us, but more of a just "get-away." It was a good price - we booked somewhat late. An upgrade to an Aurea Suite near the bow was great, but it is a bit bouncy in front. It is a large ship with a lot of people. The buffet was a mass of people sometimes - we only wen there for lunch. Poorly designed, with narrow aisles to access the food. Lots of choices, but often dry and flavorless. Our dining room experience was very good. The food varied greatly. They did not enforce the dress code - so you are with mostly nicely-dressed people, but some with shorts and flip-flops. The second seating was good for us, but you had to see the show prior to dinner. The entertainment was very good - 40-45 minute shows with singers dancers and recorded music. A variety of acts. Not enough chairs on the decks sometimes, but also no room. Good ideas: sugar free drinks available all day on the buffet. Always a sugar-free (no sugar added) dessert option for dinner, but none for lunch. Breakfasts were good in the restaurant, but the hours were too short. We picked this cruise for ports we ad not seen, but the itinerary changed due to rough weather. This ship swayed much more tan any other we had been on in similar weather. Embarkation and disembarkation were both easy after delays. The Miami Cruise Port is large, so we had to a walk and drag luggage a while to get back to our pick-up location. It was a very diverse group on the ship - lots of Europeans and families. They do cater to the repeat passengers and, obviously, those who paid more. All-in-all, it was a good cruise, but we will stick to smaller ships. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the Eastern Caribbean ports of call and the price. We booked a Fantastica Interior cabin, but we were complimentarily upgraded to a Fantastica Balcony cabin! Our first! If you haven't sailed with MSC before you select your cabin preference (interior, balcony, suite) and then you select your experience ( Bella, Fantastica, Aurea, Yacht Club etc.) Our Fantastica experience cam with some perks. 12 drink vouchers per person, free room service from 6 am until 11 pm, some classes for kids but we didn't bring any with us. Embarkation was fast and efficient. Our paperwork said to embark at 4:15 pm but we had an early flight so we went early. We were on the ship by 11:15 am, The buffet didn't start serving lunch until noon and the sports bar until 12:30. I found the food to be very good. Believe all the hype for the buffet pizza...so delicious! I loved the McCarthy salad at the sports bar, it has greens, avocado, bacon, chicken and a honey mustard dressing. The MDR was pretty good. One night when I ordered a scallop dish I was surprised when it had only 5 miniscule scallops the size of tic-tacs. Our service was ok in the MDR, we waited for our menus a few times in excess of 5 minutes. Those drinking flat water with dinner had to wait for refills. If you drank the sparkling water the left the liter bottle for refills. Our MDR servers ( for dinner) did not once place my napkin on my lap. They did do so at breakfast in the MDR. It's a little thing, but it makes me feel like I am on vacation. The ship is spectacular! It is elegant and welcoming with lots of little seating areas. The Swarovski Crystal staircases are stunning. I suggest getting your Gala night photos here. There are 2 Gala nights(formal) on a 7-night cruise. The entertainment is top notch. The entertainment staff are fun, friendly and get EVERYONE involved. This the best entertainment staff on the sea! Our cabin was beautiful! We loved our first balcony! If I were designing the space I would move the mirror which is at the foot of the bed to somewhere you could back up a foot or so to use for checking your outfit. The mirror is large but it is only about 10 inches or so away from the end of the bed so when you are trying to use the mirror you are almost on top of it. I would also allow for more than 10 inches between bed and wall. It was definitely wait your turn when hubby was going the opposite way. We loved our cabin location Cabin # 9160. We were right near the secret or not so secret elevator. So if you took it up to 14 you were at the buffet entrance. If you took it down to 6 you were at the Black Crab MDR entrance. It was right off the Atrium as well. We were worried there would be a lot of noise but it was great! We booked while on board and got some great perks: double voyagers club points, $200 instant OBC which they applied the next day, The cruise we booked is in the Yacht Club on December 8, 2018 and was one of the Voyagers Club distinctive cruises so we saved 20% off of our cruise and were given an additional $50 OBC per person on top of the $150 OBC offered. We are looking forward to trying the Yacht Club experience! My husband had a hard time getting a machine every time he went to the gym. There were a few out of order and they rest were all occupied at 6 am! That could be improved upon, for the number of guests aboard it was inadequate. Service was exceptional at times and sub-par at others. Our hot lava sone Bali massages were wonderful and 30% of on a port day. Please ask any questions you may have. All in al we loved it! The Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle was wonderful, there were 86 of us. The Captain and many of the Senior officers were present and were circulating, asking us about our experience so far and answering questions about Divina, MSC, and other MSC ships., there were complimentary hor dourves and cocktails. There was also a delicious cake and a group photo taken. It was sent to our cabin a keepsake a few days later. It was really nice! Read Less

This cruise was a great deal for a family with two teenagers, and we got two very nice balcony staterooms for a great price for the holiday season. CONS: The ship had a very diverse crowd, which was quite interesting and nice, but keep in mind many cultures have different ideas of what is polite. As a very diverse crowd promises many languages, there were no comedy shows, because they would have to tell the jokes in 6 languages XD there were a few things to do on sea days like one arts and crafts table for an hour and a half in one of the restaurants, but most passengers swarmed the pool. The ship's layout in my opinion has way too many passenger decks, and not enough places and activities to facilitate this number of people. (over 4,000 people) On embarkation day, the process was decently quick and nothing too complex. When we boarded, like most passengers, we went to the buffet. This was the equivalent of the hunger games. At first, we assumed maybe the buffet was hectic because it was embarkation day, like most ships, but it did stay busy during mealtimes. This is understandable, but the ship description does include the statement "20 hour buffet" but if you go to eat during off hours (late morning, afternoon, before and after dinner times) you will only find pizza and a salad bar with maybe some fries and one type of pasta. The ship did also charge for almost anything they could. With the lack of sea day entertainment, the cruise line did offer some fun things, like a ship tour of the bridge, kitchen, etc. but it was fifty dollars!! Insanity!! We did find ourselves bored on sea days. because we aren't the kind of people that enjoy sitting around and eating for hours-on-end, but the casino sold void decks of cards and I enjoyed drawing on the balcony. The few activities that appealed to me were: Bingo (40 dollars, the machine broke and we all got a refund so at least we didn't lose money) T-Shirt coloring (I really enjoyed this, but I was sad to see people hogging some shirts for other people and the little girls who came with their parents and did not get to make one and cried) And the movies shown on the pool deck. PROS: Ok so it is rare you find decent food in a dining room, but the food was actually pretty good (portions are small but you can always go find the same pasta in the buffet the next day) The buffet has the best pizza I have ever had on a ship, hands down. The rooms were very nicely decorated, and were very clean upon embarkation. The staff was friendly and happy, but they were not over-the-top enthusiastic, like service I have had on a Norwegian Cruise. The ship itself is very beautiful, the public areas were limited for the massive size of the ship though :/ I can say, that I never had anything horrible or repulsive to eat, merely just bland at the worst case scenario. The entertainment staff who organized activities by the pool or things such as arts and crafts or bingo were very friendly and generally fun people to talk to or be around. EMBARKATION/DISEMBARKATION: Ok, so embarkation was standard, nothing too complicated, and from entering the terminal to stepping on a ship was maybe an hour. Disembarkation was really unique, because we chose self carry because it is usually the faster option. We went to our meeting place in the casino for our disembarkation group around 6:45, and then they announced us, and people rushed into a line, when an MSC manager told us we need to go to the end of the line. The whole process was a mess and little-to-no organization. We came to the consensus that we had to jump on the bandwagon of rushing into the back of the line, and we waited on the ship for maybe 45 more minutes. as soon as we got out of the anarchy that was deck 6 and we were on the gangway, it was smooth sailing. There were no people at customs, and we sailed right through to the end of the terminal in mere minutes. over all, the process was quick, but maybe we got lucky, because the cruise line did little to organize the mob in the casino waiting to leave the ship. NASSAU EXCURSION This part of the cruise really made me question MSC's integrity. My family has never been to the bahamas, and we thought it would be fun to try it because it seemed to have a lot to do. Since Nassau is depicted and a rough scene, we thought it would be smart to book an excursion through the cruise line, just to be safe. We are the kind of people that like to go to see sights and take pictures on cool things like forts or pretty hikes, not so much wallow in a crowded water park. So naturally, we chose the excursion that was described as a driving tour around the city and a Balmoral Island beach day. The tour was 55 dollars each through the cruise line, so this was an expensive tour. Our tour met in the theater on the ship, where we sat for 40 minutes waiting for our guide to take us off the ship. People were getting agitated because we wasted so much time waiting, but we finally left. The guide took us off the ship as a group to a parking lot adjacent to the cruise port, where we waited for our motor coach. The bus was rather small and nothing special, but no big deal. The "tour" around the city consisted of a description of an old library, a restaurant that sounded like a commercial, and an old fort, that we didn't actually get to go and take pictures of. Our guide dropped us off at a boat next to señor frogs, where we got on the boat to go to the beach. We sat on the boat at the dock while we waited for more busses of passengers dropped off other beachgoers, and fyi, we only had 5 hours in Nassau from leaving the ship to All Aboard. We ended up waiting on the boat for 45 more minutes, at this point it was roughly 3:00, we had to be on the ship back at 5:00. My family and other passengers were getting angry as our day in the bahamas was being waisted away as we waited on a parked boat for more passengers to be dropped off by one last bus. We decided this was enough, as the tour guides from the ship did not seem to care, and we decided to get off. Almost half of the group got of the boat because we were fed up with never getting to actually do anything interesting. The driving tour was a bust and we were going to have almost no time at the beach. We were incredibly disappointed in the lack of organization and the fact that we wasted 220 dollars and most of our day in the bahamas. OVERALL Our cruise was enjoyable overall. There were a few things at the fault of the cruise line that were minor setback, but it was nice to relax and enjoy the ocean. If you are someone who is looking for the bare necessities if a cruise (buffet-pool-dining room-enjoying an ocean view) then this cruise is right for you. If you are an adventurous person looking for an engaging week of fun and social activities, I would check Norwegian or Royal Caribbean. Read Less

I parked at the Port of Miami and arrived about 1pm. I would suggest getting there ealier because I parked at a garage and has to take a bus (no extra charge getting to the port) But when I got back from the cruise it was so crowded and there seemed to be no transportation back to the cruise parking garage. I walked a little bit and found a taxi for under $5. So if you are parking at the Port of Miami I would definetly go early and find a parking garage across the street. The cruise was really nice. I see a lot of people complain about the food but I think it's decent. I ate at the dining room only once because it took 1 hour and a half to eat..plus the people we were eating with didn't even say hello...was awkward lol Ihad the lopster...for an extra charge of $20....it was really good and worth it. Most of time we ate in the buffet for dinner and also a few times in the dining room for lunch. We also ordered breakfast in our cabin which was great. The entertainment on the ship is great!! I like the tribute to Micheal Jackson and Queen the best. We went to Saint Maarten, Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. I went to Maho beach in Saint Maarten where there is a beach and airport is right across the street, It's worth going to. We paid $8 a piece for a taxi from the port to the beach. This was the second time I went on the Msc Divina and truly love this ship. Read Less

(A+) - No lobster dinner, I cruised the same cruise same ship in 2015 they had lobster diner but not in this cruiser (2016). (F) - Buffet foods are many variety and plenty, (A+) - Staffs are very good, they seem to be overwhelming with many people who speaks difference languages and behaved difference way. Well traveled couple. This was our 38th wedding anniversary. We originally chose this cruise ship on a last minute booking one week before departure. We are glad we did. PROS and CONS scale 1 to 5. There were some 10+ experiences and yes a few 2-3 experiences This is an international cruise ship with 50% of the guests from Europe, South America, England, Australia and Asia. Many were from Italy and Germany. The diversity of the guests definitely added to the flavor of the cruise as did the international crew. We made a lot of new friends. 5+ Beauty and design of the ship: 5+. Definitely Italian in design. The beauty of the art and photography of the La Dolce Vita attitude is throughout the ship. It is a visual time capsule of photos and art and architecture. Noise did not bounce from one venue to another. You could enjoy jazz in the Golden Lounge and not know anything else was going on in the ship ENTERTAINMENT 10+: the entertainment staff on this cruise was a 10+ We have sailed NCL and Celebrity but the entertainment, shows and music was the by far the best. We danced in the Black and White lounge until closing almost every night We cannot say enough about the entertainment staff and their fun craziness and themes. The shows were great and the lounge music superb. Where else can you go and see Italian Opera, a tribute to Queen and Michael Jackson in the same week MAIN DINING 3: a work in progress. We ate there 2 times. We had one very good meal and one left to be desired The Executive Chef Andreas knows there is work to do in both food and training. Our dinner partners at the table were a 10+ And made the meals quite enjoyable SPECIALTY DINING 4: we purchased the 4 dining experience package. The price was worth it. EATLY is well known in Rome and were represented very well in the Steakhouse and Italian restaurant. our last night at the Galaxy was excellent. By far the best Pizza ever tasted short of Naples is in the Cantina Da Bacco. Being from Philly I am very particular about my pizza! Buy the premium beverage package. Well worth it. It includes the specialty coffees at the Caffe and the gelato which is excellent We met the Hotel Director and his staff to voice some of our concerns. They were quite receptive. We did not encounter any rude crew members on our cruise. Some needed better training but we believe that wil improve. We will definitely cruise Divina and MSC again Read Less
