A lot of Cons, less Pros

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Seascape

Please read this review before booking with MSC. Seriously. First thing that will take place (that will ruin your experience) will be the $250 dollar additional charge that will hit your bank account the moment you enter the ship. This is a big problem, due to having no knowledge that this amount of money will be automatically taken from your bank account beforehand. Second thing that will ...

We choose this cruise because it was half the price of Royal, plus we were going with friends who love MSC and love Costa Maya and Cozumel. They love the thermal area. Lots of the comments will be negative things about the ship. It’s not going to a full/complete review. The cruise director thanked us on the last night for being nice about all the issues that the ship had that week. I had stepped ...

PROS AND CONS OF MSC SEASIDE

I took MSC Seaside to experience for the first time sailing on a large ship, as it holds 5,119 passengers. PROS - Theater Productions were great and assigned dining was good. 24 hr coffee was a plus. Elevators moved well considering the number of people. If you had children, the jungle pool and slides were a plus. We loved two days in the private island Cocoa Cay. Price of cruise was ...

Staff: Bar service is medium. some days they are fast, some days you wonder if anyone is even working. The staff overall are nice. Cabins: are really nice. Clean! Teen Stuff: Awesome. My kids really enjoyed everything!! Entertainment: We went to one show- dont bother going to the other shows. The acrobats are really good, the singing is horrible in the shows. We actually went ...

Disorganized Crew and operations but wonderful ship!

First of all, embarkation in miami was an absolute cluster. there was a line of people outside already at 9 am. And by line i mean it went from the stairs of terminal c all the way down the sidewalk. I don't know if this is a miami cbp thing or an msc thing but they made us stand outside and melt in the 90 degree heat until literally noon before they started allowing people into the building. ...

High School Graduation cruise for my daughter, from Port Canaveral roundtrip to western Caribbean. We've cruised at least 20 times, sailing on Disney Dream, Carnival Magic, Pride, Sunshine, Legend and Paradise, Royal Caribbean Harmony, Explorer, Mariner, Enchantment and Grandeur of the Seas, and Princess on the Regal Princess. This was our first MSC, tried due to our narrow booking window and ...

A very mixed bag: disabled passengers beware

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Seascape

We chose this cruise because of the promised benefits of MSC Yacht Club, specifically seamless embarkation and disembarkation. Some were delivered, some not. For me, the best thing about the ship was the crew. Without exception, they were friendly, polite and helpful. This even appeared to be true outside the Yacht Club, where they were dealing with a situation that was challenging at best. ...

cabanas on Ocean Cay

Chose the ship because of itinerary costa maya and ocean cay. However, it was very disappointing especially the cabanas on ocean cay, they removed the fans instead of replacing them, took over 2 hours to get the 2 floating loungers and had to drag them back-which was really difficult in the heat and sand and distance. We were told the floaters would already be there or be delivered there when we ...

Price was right but not the best

This was my daughter’s first cruise and the only reason I chose this was because it was the best price. First time on MSC and not as impressed as with other cruise lines. Had just been on the Caribbean Princess and every room steward or ship officer you passed spoke to you with a “good morning/afternoon, how are you”. The only room steward that spoke to us was our assigned one. ...
